  1. You are Akeset of the Sand King adventuring company in the Middle Droughtlands. Hired by the Sultan Dreadmont to find a mad wizard who may have been responsible for the destruction of Solvek.
  2. First meet:
  3. You choose a sword for your journey over your mace. You come across a dehydrated man in the desert and choose to give him water, who reveals himself to be Heru, Mage of the Sands. You decide to tell him the truth and reveals the mad wizard, Amut the Wise, indeed did destroy Solvek and offersyou to turn back, fearing for your life. You decide to press on and Heru gives you a small, white, perfectly round stone that calms you to the touch. You then come across a strange oasis not marked on any map, but decide to avoid it altogether. You are soon attacked by belgoi, and manage to defeat them but being driven to exhaustion by the belgois magic and falling asleep. Amut appears in your dreams briefly before you wake up and press on. You soon accidentally stumble upon a waiting Silt Horror and foolishly decide to run, not understanding how the horrors hunt. You manage to force the beast back, but sustain injuries in the form of a gash and a broken leg. You treat the gash on the spot, fearing infection, and proceed to the tower. You decide to enter through a crack in the sand tower instead of the large doors and the bizarre window and enter the foyer. Choosing the door on the right you find yourself in a macabre lab full of human remains. You decide to fix your leg using bone and crude materials instead of reading the lab documents and are attacked by a group of zombies. Though you make some mistakes, you manage to defeat the zombies but the documents are covered in blood and illegible. Your leg is a bit better though, and you now must press forward through the tower.

  5. Second meet
  6. You ignored the burning of the stone Heru gave you and investigate the door on the left, only to come face to face with an otyugh. Narrowly surviving you brutally kill the otyugh with a jagged stone and decide to take the green dagger from his lair. You ascend the stairs and find yourself in a hallway with three options. You take the door on the left and find yourself in a library or a study of sorts, with many parchments and journals strewn about written in several languages. You read a scroll instead of the book, being told Rasha al-Ah is the holder of the Skybiter but not being told what the Skybiter is or who the man is. An imp appears and burns the book, quickly vanishing. You approach the right door, once again ignoring the stones burning, and are knocked unconscious by a gust of mighty wind.
  7.
  8. Third Meet:
  9. You awaken in a dungeon and find yourself guarded by an undead version of Rasha al-Ah. Soon, a tan, twisted, imp-like creature who calls himself Taxus, voice of Amut, approaches you and gives you two options: fight Amut or take the Test. Choosing the test you find yourself thrown into a cellar where you must answer a riddle for an unknown assailant. You answer correctly and are smothered, opening your eyes and finding yourself under attack from four colored skeletons: yellow, blue, red, and orange. You defeat them and crush the orange and red skulls, but when you crush the red skull you are attacked by a flesh golem. Managing to defeat it, and learning a valuable lesson on golems' ability to live without a head, you pass out and awaken in the hallway in front of the false door. You ascend the stairs, choosing to ignore a door which Heru's stone burns to warn you. You investigate the bedroom of who assume to be Amut and find a locket that fills you with dread and a ring which is magical, believing it to grant you a resistance to cold. You then enter Amut's storage and find a chest, which you swear moved when you opened the door. Ignoring the chest, you leave and ascend a long, twisting stairway that takes almost ten minutes to climb! You find yourself in front of a door and Heru's stone burns hotter than it ever did before, almost searing your skin as you hear voices come from beyond it.
