  5. Who rules Gear?
  6.
  7. A mysterious being, of human origin but possessing tremendous power at the time, having seized it from a set of beings called Ancients, presumed to be divine, but proven later to simply be aliens from another planet. He calls himself Rael-Inthar. A little known or mentioned fact is that the 'Inthar' in the name was the original ruler of the daemons, who invaded the H.A.T world, and were exterminated. Certainly, Gear (or whatever it was called back then) has made a comeback.
  8.
  9. Aside Rael-Inthar, are twelve other empowered beings, who are given boons, and presiding over facets of Gear, such as war, marine environments, the airspace, arts, knowledge etc. These Twelve are incredibly powerful beings, and possess great authority. Their servants often do most of their work, however and the Twelve themselves only ever interfere with the most important issues of the world, or it's colonized moon. Further, deep space outposts and attempts to colonize other planets also fall within their jurisdiction.
  10.
  11. The Twelve themselves are lead by one of their own, one Disse, who reports directly to Rael, and everyone else (barring the Twelve) are also ruled by one of their members, Ethal, who technically possesses most power over the larger population. The whole world of Gear is also one giant city, and thus administration can get difficult, with high density of population being troublesome to manage in any case. Nonetheless, this is with very few arguments to it's counter, the most advanced civilization in all of Corius, having managed to expand beyond the scope of the planet even. It is a little known fact, but while Corius itself is split between eight separate planes, the moon is separate from this affair.
  12.
  13. It is thus, that Gear has an eye on every other world.

  19. There are many species that dwell in Gear, not only those native to the land of Corius, but also Daemons, made of the Dream Aura (locally: Dream Force), and Moon-people, humanoid, gray-skinned aliens, that were originally found on the Moon, and with Gear's expansion, were able to visit the planet of Corius and spread their knowledge and culture. Attempts to reach further still into the vastness of space have yielded some results as well, as while far from making it to another planet, the Gear society has contacted aliens and entities dwelling beyond the scope of Corius, and attracted them to it's borders.
  20.
  21. Some of these figures have been less than friendly towards Gear, and military action had to be taken, however Gear has generally enjoyed long eras of peace, and war is largely unknown to most of it's citizens. While there was some conflict with the Moon-folk originally, nowadays they have been integrated fully into Gear society, and traveling to the moon and back is the equivalent of a road-trip or a brief vacation, with wealthier and more powerful individuals being able to travel to the Moon and back within a day.
  22.
  23. Unfortunately, one cannot descend from the moon into any of the other worlds of Corius, unless they are absurdly powerful (such as one of the Twelve), and most channels are dedicated to contacting Gear only.
  24.
  25. Another unique facet of Gear is the fact that unlike many of the other worlds which simply 'devoured' smaller pockets into their own space to grow themselves and become more firmly established, Gear has somehow managed to preserve the dimensional nature of many tiny worlds within it. The ultimate result is a city that spans the whole planet, with fields and plains created at an elevated level, to support crops.
  26.
  27. Mountains too, exist only in the furthest reaches of the planet, where there is next to no civilization. Everything has been with time, altered and reformed to best fit whatever the world of Gear needed. From an outside point of view, it could well be considered the perfect world. However, not all is as it seems...
