Tsuchi Combo Attempt

A moment later, the magicians clashed.
Tsuchimikado Motoharu closed the ten-meter distance all at once.
Oriana Thomson, meanwhile, seized one flash card by her mouth and bit it off the ring.
From thin air, many straw ropes appeared and wrapped themselves around her hand.
The ropes looped and coiled around one another, covering her arm in the pattern of a
crude cargo net, the kind you might see in an obstacle course.
However, before she could do anything with the net, Tsuchimikado swung his right fist.
He aimed it at her chest, anticipating that she’d block. Then once her arm was locked in
place, he would follow with a left uppercut, a move prohibited in most situations, hoping
to pulverize the arm she used to block. At the same time, he would slam his shoe soles
on her feet as hard he could to break her toes. This tactic would destroy an arm and a
foot in one fell swoop, taking away her mobility.
But...

As though she understood all that from the start, she pulled back her foot he had
targeted and took Tsuchimikado’s first blow with only her arm. She used the fist’s
impact and her lost balance to widen the distance between them, as though fading
backward.
His true attack, his arm-breaking left, caught only air.
