Doppocalypse: The End of Wrath

16:04	Reverb	Reverb nodded at Ronald, as she made her way out of the hut. The dawn and rain have passed, now leaving clear blue sky and bright desert sun.
16:10	Doppler	As she stepped out she could pick up on something. A broadcast through the tower from Baghdad, some kind of explosion that erupted on a military base near the city with steam rising out of it. Just taking a look at the sky one could see the trail of it through the air
16:15	Reverb	Reverb saw the trail, and smirked. "I'm ending this today, buddy." she said, running after the trail with a sword in her hand. She was prepared this time, and she wasn't going to lose to Wrath a second time.
16:19	Doppler	The base finally came into sight, at least the scorched craters that once were the base. The bodies of soldiers who had survived the explosions looked as if they had been beaten into the ground until death. All was dried out and burned, whatever moisture there was rising up in stinging steam to the sky
16:21	Doppler	There seemed to be a cloud trail of it further ahead past the base, in the direction of the city itself. The earth behind it was burned into a blackened scar of glass as it moved forward.
16:23	Doppler	It was obvious just who it was and just what it had in mind. Wrath had enough with waiting and was going to level the city on his own terms, and from the sight of the destroyed base it seemed like that could be a likely possibility if he isn't stopped.
16:25	Reverb	Reverb sighed. When she had first encountered Wrath, it was clear his destructive rage was damaging, but now that the effects on the public were visible, her resolve strengthened. She started moving faster, taking shortcuts through the terrain to get to the city before Wrath could even touch it.
16:29	Doppler	Reverb made it to the edge of the city, along the banks of the Tigris river at the north of Baghdad. She had enough space between her and the capital to keep the damage of the battle from reaching it, but its obvious she'd have to fight to keep him back from it. From the north the massive cloud of steam starting moving in her direction...
16:30	Doppler	... the source of it barely visible as the tall insectoid horror of a man made slow steps forward.
16:32	Doppler	A low disgruntled growl echoed out from the bellowing armored beast, starting to pick up the pace.
16:33	Reverb	Reverb stood her ground, blade at the ready. Once she saw Wrath picking up the pace, she began to step forward as well, adding a blade into her other hand. This time, instead of rushing, she was going to be careful.
16:34	Doppler	 seems as good a spot to post this as any]

16:36	Wrath	Wrath seemed to finally notice her as he was merely 40 meters away from her, the growl getting louder and his steps getting harsher as to break the ground underneath him and send light tremors through the earth. The steam jetting from him intensified as well
16:38	Wrath	"AND HERE WE ARE AGAIN, THAT LITTLE WORTHLESS WORM THAT BARELY SURVIVED BEING CRUSHED!" the voice of the rage filled symbiote boomed through the air.
16:39	Wrath	"A FUCKING THORN IN MY SIDE THAT REFUSES TO JUST SHUT UP AND BE PUT DOWN LIKE THE CRAZY BITCH SHE IS"
16:40	Wrath	His steps get faster, changing from a slow walk into a quicker pace. "THE VERY ESSENCE OF EVERYTHING I *HATE* "
16:41	Wrath	"A PRETENDING, WEAK, DELUSIONAL, TRAINED, MINDLESS, PUNK AND A UPPITY WHORE"
16:42	Reverb	Reverb stood her ground once more, carrying her blades and holding a defensive position. She pulled her scarf up quickly, covering the lower half of her face. She might not say anything, but her rock-hard glare said all that she needed to. She wasn't going to play games, not this time.
16:44	Wrath	"NOTHING TO SAY? MAYBE SHE'S SCARED. OH. OH EVEN FUCKING BETTER. SHE THINKS SHE'S ABOVE ALL THIS. SHE THINKS SHE ISN'T A DISGUSTING ANIMAL TRAINED TO KILL UP AGAINST THE HUNTER THAT WILL MOUNT HER HEAD ON HIS FIREPLACE"
16:45	Wrath	His steps have gone into a full bull rush, burning the desert around him as he got closer in what seemed like merely a moment and leaving deep indents in the ground as he stepped. He was pissed.
16:46	Wrath	"WELL LETS REMIND THE ASIAN CUNT WHO THE FUCK SHE IS" Wrath burst forward, using his steam jets to propel himself like a freight train at her as he rammed his head in a brutal headbutt.
16:52	Reverb	Reverb stood her ground, using small pieces of crystal to make the terrain uneven and force a quicker stop. Once at an adequate speed, she used her size to simply lift herself up on top of Wrath, and jump off of his back.
16:55	Wrath	The steam bursting from Wrath singed her as she jumped off his back, the powerful monster stopping the second that it felt her leap away by digging its hand into the earth as a brake. Its strange toothy maw opened and Wrath sent forth a blast of his hyperheated steam towards her as soon as he could. "GET THE FUCK BACK HERE"

17:00	Reverb	Reverb started running to dodge the steam, setting up large crystal spheres around the area as she moved, letting them stay still for now. When she says still, those spheres are just moving in extremely tight circles. Wrath may be fast, and he may be strong, but few of his moves have a wide range. Time to take advantage of just that.
17:03		*** Ignition is now known as Night
17:03	Wrath	Wrath had another trick up his sleeve, the plates around his body opening as jets of steam shot out and lifted him up into the air. "NOWHERE TO HIDE!" he called out before he blasted forth another beam from above, moving to follow her wherever she moved

17:08	Reverb	Reverb continued moving, seeming to hang around the spheres a lot. She bided her time, waiting until Wrath came in range, and... she snapped her fingers. One sphere used its mass to launch into the air, a second one shooting off diagonally to fly into the first one, flying at Wrath.
17:12	Wrath	The sphere cracked into Wrath's side, right under one of the plates that he had lifted to allow himself to fly. His beam ended in a moment, letting out an enraged howl as both of his hands reached to tear it away from him.
17:14	Wrath	"YOU FUCKING WHELP" his voice was ear piercing. "YOU HAVE NO *RIGHT* TO LAY A HAND ON ME"

17:15	Reverb	Reverb smirked to herself. Direct hit. She kept the other spheres rolling around, just out of view. She had figured this out earlier in the airbase, specifically while inside of the whale; the creatures were so focused on her, they just ignored the blatant damage she was doing. Now, obviously Wrath was a bit smarter than that, but she could still likely...
17:15	Reverb	...play him for a fool.
17:17	Wrath	Wrath had just about up to here with this, using those jets to shoot him into the earth right below her and create an explosive shockwave through both the impact and an expulsion of steam
17:19	Reverb	Reverb let the shockwave send her backwards, further from the spheres. As long as they were separated, Wrath would need to focus on one, but not the other. At least, that's the plan. Throughout this, she remained silent, not even gloating on a lucky hit. She kept the spheres rolling around, in random directions all far away from one another. She would...
17:20	Reverb	...group them back together when she was ready for a second attack.
17:21	Wrath	Wrath was embedded in the crater, but he seemed to stay there for a moment before rising out. "I SEE YOU REALLY HAVE CHANGED, INSTEAD OF BEING A DUMB BLIND IDIOT YOU'RE A DUMB COWARDLY IDIOT. WHATS WRONG, YOU KNOW I'LL BEAT YOU THE SECOND I GET CLOSE?!"
17:23	Wrath	"I'LL TEAR YOU APART BIT BY BIT LIKE A PIECE OF FUCKING MEAT AND THEN THAT FRIEND OF YOURS WILL BE NEXT"
17:23	Wrath	He started to make his approach again, this time going slower as his voice cackled and grumbled
17:24	Wrath	"AND I CAN SEE THOSE LITTLE BALLS YOU'VE SET UP, THINKING THAT I CAN'T SEE THEM LIKE THE OTHERS. I PROMISE YOU, THEY WILL NOT GET PAST THIS ARMOR AGAIN"
17:25	Wrath	His steps became heavy and slow again, a lumbering behemoth of a man coming towards her
17:25	Reverb	"But they already have." she said at last. She broke the silence, wanting to just get that verbal edge on him.
17:26	Reverb	"The armor underneath the armor. Your confidence is rattled. You talk big and back it up, but when someone scores a hit? I heard that howl, Wrath."
17:26	Reverb	"You're a human like anyone else, and that hit did more than hit you."
17:27	Reverb	Reverb smirked under her scarf, moving slowly and steadily, circling Wrath. He might see the spheres, but she's always got a trick or two involving them. She let them move in closer, changing their shape so that they made noise as they rolled constantly, a reminder of their presence.
17:30	Wrath	Wrath let out a massive roar, his mouth and... both of his hands opening up. The plates in his palms shifted out of the way to reveal holes underneath them. Shooting them out to both sides of him the bloodthirsty insect demon extended his arms out. "NO MORE TALK"
17:32	Wrath	All at once his mouth and both of his hands let loose their destructive torrents of ultraheated steam in three directions, covering all but his back and blasting out for what looked like a mile each and several meters wide. He wasn't going to let anything take him by surprise
17:33	Wrath	But.... that wasn't all. He turned himself and started to spin, creating a hurricane of extraordinarily destructive steam that tore apart as much as it could in its range. He was serious now.
17:36	Reverb	Reverb let out a little chuckle, starting to move backwards, further away from the city. She just needed to wait this attack out. The usual weakpoints aren't as easy to access, and that steam was blazing hot. She stamped on the ground, and the spheres began to vibrate, burrowing underneath the earth.
17:38	Wrath	The attack finally ended, leaving the ground burning and whatever sand was there turned into a strange broken up glass. He came lumbering out of the circle of death towards her quickly as the spheres began to go into the earth, but...
17:40	Wrath	When they did, they seemed to be shot back up by steam as well, like a geyser, as the ground began to rumble and her enhanced senses picked up on a massive heat signature below the ground that now seemed... hollow. Wrath let out a vicious cackle, the ground cracking as steam started to shoot out from it all around them.
17:40	Wrath	Then it came back to her. Wrath had implanted himself in the ground and even gave her time to get away from him as he stayed there... He set up a trap.
17:41	Wrath	"AND NOW TO BE RID OF YOU ONCE. AND. FOR. ALL"
17:42	Wrath	Wrath rose his finger up to the sky as he said it, the earth itself bursting like a volcano with the vapor.
17:43	Wrath	And that burst was right before the true eruption, a massive wall of burning steam shot up through the ground into the sky and created a titanic hole from which it came from right beneath them.
17:47	Reverb	Reverb knew it, there had to be a catch to this. Wrath wasn't even that relentless in the first place, and now this. So at last, she gave up on the defensive, and moved in for offense. The spheres turned into long, flat disks, meeting and combining into one. She moved in, but instead of attacking... she leapt right over Wrath again, getting closer to the...
17:47	Reverb	...wall to gauge its size, the singular disk becoming a pillar that plugged the hole precisely. Not even a single bit of steam would escape.
17:51	Wrath	The hole was plugged, but the pressure still burst through the ground. Instead the eruption exploded all around them, creating a massive ring of steam that surrounded the two in an "arena".
17:51	Reverb	Reverb hit the pillar, turning it right back into a multitude of spheres.
17:53	Wrath	Wrath wasted no time in using their limited time in the enclosed space to get close to her. He ran and tried to grab her by the throat, wild as a feral animal
17:54	Reverb	Reverb stepped aside, bringing her arm, now wrapped in some crystal, right down on Wrath.
17:55	Wrath	The crystal cracked against the harsh armor that Wrath wore, only managing to dent into it and push him down as he tried to claw at her with quick swipes of his hands
17:57	Reverb	Reverb stamped down on Wrath's hand, kicking his face with the other. Though her face was calm, her actions were not. She'd been made a fool of /twice/ by this guy, and she was done with him. Done.
17:59	Wrath	Wrath was a behemoth up close, only flinching at the tough hits. His plates opened up once more as he used jets to propel his attacks, wanting to tear her apart as quickly as he could. Haymakers, high kicks, claws, headbutts, he was determined to drive into her and kill her
18:02	Reverb	Reverb used Wrath's momentum against him, flipping him over the moment he came in for another headbutt. Her smaller size meant she could run circles around the behemoth, and easily dodge most of his higher attacks. She remained silent, dropping her weapons and letting the spheres crumble into dust.
18:05	Wrath	Wrath was getting wilder and wilder, caring nothing except for tearing her apart as his body flailed and burst in every direction to get at her. There was no words coming from the mad monster, just blind rage
18:07	Reverb	Reverb timed her movements, waiting for a stray punch that Wrath would just take too long to recover from. The second the opportunity showed, she moved in, and wedged a shard of crystal under the plate on his arm, digging it in and prying the armor right off.
18:10	Wrath	The plate took some coercion but with the force in the right place the armor plate went flying off, revealing the dark salmon colored flesh that lie underneath it. Wrath's roar of anger became that of a surprised pain, pulling away immediately and stepping back. That area on his arm was completely bare of its defense
18:11	Wrath	"YOU.... YOU...." Wrath couldn't even speak, his plates lifting up again as they took in air and his hands put out in front of him. Doing the three blast again he aimed it all to Reverb as close as he could. He was getting desperate
18:14	Reverb	Reverb formed a crystal rod, stabbing it into the ground. She flicked it a few times, sending out some sound waves into the area. She had wondered how Wrath saw with his eyes covered, and had figured it was basic use of his antennae. In which case, the sound should disrupt them and leave him firing blind.
18:15	Wrath	And... she is correct. Disrupting the air with sound waves made him completely senseless, not only in sight. His hearing and smell was completely gone as well. The insectoid terrorist fired his steam wildly, trying to hit everything around him to make up for his lack of sight
18:17	Reverb	Reverb waited. Sooner or later Wrath would need to come down to the ground again. And then she would carry on her assault. Being slow and methodical is what would win her this match, and she /will/ win.
18:18	Wrath	Soon enough even his steam seemed to run out from the constant use, his flight faltering and causing him to crash down into the earth
18:19	Wrath	He still felt the earth though, trying to remember the area just from what he could touch with his own enhanced senses. Wrath was blind but he could remember where she was, clawing out of the ground and running towards Reverb on his hands and feet like a cornered animal
18:19	Reverb	Reverb kept the waves going some more, moving into Wrath's position silently and slowly, two shards ready in her hands.
18:20	Reverb	Reverb applied the same rule of momentum, flipping Wrath over as he charged, digging her shards in mid-flip into a plate on his chest and arm, quickly and roughly ripping them out again.
18:21	Reverb	And then, she let the rod crumble. She wanted to win fair and square, and keeping the handicap didn't seem too fun.
18:22	Wrath	Now both of his arms and the center of his chest was open, the pulsating muscles that used to lie under the armor looking unnatural and leathery like the other symbiotes. Wrath stood up once again, now with his senses, and turned to Reverb as his hands clenched
18:24	Wrath	"THIS ISN'T OVER YET, BITCH. YOU... YOU WILL DIE! HERE! *NOW!* " the embodiment of rage bellowed out, standing across from her in the utterly ruined landscape
18:26	Reverb	Reverb stayed silent, combining the two shards into a dagger.
18:27	Wrath	Finally, after the two faced one another, Wrath made his move. Bursting forward he slammed his fist into the ground, destroying the earth below Reverb and in her general direction as he did in the first battle.
18:30	Reverb	Reverb was ready for that move, having seen it before. She leaps away from the crumbling earth and onto solid ground, letting her sneakers skid against the sand for emphasis.
18:32	Wrath	Wrath came at her much quicker on his feet than ever before, now his survival on the line alongside his titanic rage. She barely had time to finish the skid before he attempted a strong knee into her stomach
18:33	Reverb	Reverb just as quickly bought the dagger down on the exposed flesh of Wrath's leg, leaning out of the way of the knee. "You're going to have to try harder than that. What happened to all that speed, Wrath?"
18:35	Wrath	The dagger went straight through the unarmored portion of his leg, eliciting a pained roar as he forced himself to speed up. He was growing dumber and quicker and stronger by the moment, wildly clawing at her to get her hand away from his leg in the hopes of knocking her head clean off
18:36	Reverb	Reverb kept her grip on the dagger, changing its shape to a jagged edge, making the dagger much harder to remove now. She slipped away from Wrath, tripping him up as she made her escape.
18:37	Wrath	Wrath tripped onto his hands and began using them in the place of legs as he bolted after her with his leg lamed.
18:39	Reverb	Reverb focused, keeping her eyes on the other exposed parts; his arm and his chest. Given the heavy plating, it must be like the organs of that whale - sensitive. She stepped from side to side, trying to guess where Wrath was going to attack. She knew the second he got an attack in, the assault wouldn't end. She can't afford to get hit.
18:42	Wrath	The massive man made a final leap, this one going up above her and looking to land on top of her with his claws extended out to rip her to shreds. All there was from his mouth was a howl of bloodlust and hatred that could echo out for miles.
18:49	Reverb	Reverb put all her hope in the possibility Wrath was all out of steam, and so unable to move in mid-air. She stepped aside as he came down, timing a second stab with another dagger right into the exposed flesh on his arm.
18:51	Wrath	His body still recharging the steam that he had expelled earlier, Wrath came down right onto the dagger into his arm. It broke through the flesh and even pushed the plate on the other side of his arm out, completely impaling it. Wrath just got more and more desperate and enraged, trying to use the close proximity to get at least one hit on her
18:58	Reverb	Reverb stepped back, letting the blades sit in Wrath's limbs. She waited for his next move, readying a hefty, blunt weapon to break open that armor on his head. She couldn't deny that she was curious to see who was in this armor.
18:58	Reverb	[the blunt weapon is her dick :y]
19:03	Wrath	Wrath's arm and leg were now fundamentally useless, an entire side of his body limped. He still had fight and rage in him, spending every last bit of energy he had to swing his claw in a leap
19:12	Reverb	Reverb kept on stepping aside, dodging the weak swings Wrath was now sending her way. She was just waiting for him to run out of energy, which seemed inevitable now.
19:13	Wrath	With a wrong step Wrath was unable to keep up his balance, falling down onto his knee as his own massive weight was no longer able to support itself. His roars reverted into low agonized groans and grumbles.
19:16	Reverb	Reverb looked down at the man, shaking her head. "Hmph, looks like you're done for, Wrath." she said, kicking him square in the chest.
19:19	Wrath	"No... No I'll kill you, I'll kill you and your friends and this city and everybody... You'll all be torn apart bit by bit and I'll /eat/ your organs while you watch..." There was no reason or sense in Wrath. There was only a burning hatred and lust for violence
19:20	Reverb	"Hmph, pathetic. Even now you just carry on talking."
19:20	Reverb	"But it all amounts to nothing. Once I ripped off the shell, exposed that ugly inside, you were done for."
19:20	Reverb	"I didn't even need to expend any effort, you came charging in and I just flipped you over. And you know why?"
19:21	Reverb	"Because Wrath is senseless. It has no tact, no aim, no range. You just charged and flailed and when it hit, it hurt bad. But the second someone figured you out, they could just bide their time and just..." she reaches over and twists the dagger in his leg, "/tear/ you apart."
19:23	Wrath	With a bolt of surprise Wrath opens his toothy jaw and tries to bite the hand as she twists the dagger, refusing to be humiliated.
19:25	Reverb	Reverb isn't having this. She yanks out the jagged dagger and slashes Wrath right across the face as he moves to bite. "You see what I mean? Instead of waiting, you attack, and you only get more fucked up because of it."
19:26	Wrath	"I will not give in" he growled, his helmet still holding strong.
19:27	Reverb	"Not my problem." Reverb said bluntly, stabbing the dagger back into Wrath's leg. "Here, let's play a game. It's called 'Tell me who you were before this parasite'."
19:32	Wrath	"Before? The parasite is a tool to me. It doesn't need to poison my mind I can power it on my own. I found it and it clings onto me for dear /life/ as it can barely handle me" he spits at her. It becomes clear that unlike Doppler he has free will. He /chose/ this.
19:33	Wrath	"Why the FUCK should I tell you who I am? All you need to know is that it will be ME killing every last one of you mutant CUNTS"
19:34	Reverb	Reverb sighed, forming a small, paper-thing piece of crystal. She gently, slowly ran it down the exposed flesh on Wrath's chest, leaving a long, thin gash running along his chest.
19:34	Reverb	"You didn't answer the question. Who are you."
19:35	Wrath	"Fuck you"
19:36	Reverb	Reverb cut some more gashes into Wrath's chest, quickly and roughly yanking off the plate on the other half of his chest. "You're not really good at this, are you? Who are you, how did you find this thing."
19:38	Wrath	He shows no signs of giving in, his self preservation overridden by his utter rage. "Ha... Hahaha.... I've been killed before, I've been robbed of everything I fucking have and forgotten and I SURVIVED! DO YOU THINK I AM AFRAID OF YOU? THIS DISGUSTING WORM THAT CLINGS TO ME WILL MAKE ME FUCKING IMMORTAL"
19:39	Wrath	She can see signs of skin underneath the chest when she cuts it, and blood. His limbs never let out any blood when they were cut, they were just pure symbiotic flesh. Wrath's true body is in there, but obviously not in one piece
19:39	Reverb	"...It's keeping you alive, isn't it."
19:40	Reverb	"That's why you're covered up, unlike the others. You're a dead man walking, a revenant, a wandering spirit kept alive only by its thirst for blood."
19:41	Reverb	"Something killed you, or hurt you badly, and the rage you felt bought that thing to you. It keeps you living."
19:42	Wrath	"AND I'LL KEEP LIVING UNTIL I'M BRINGING DOWN THE WHOLE WORLD WITH ME. A CRUEL AND DISGUSTING WORLD OF LIES AND DECEIT AND RANDOM CHAOS. THERE IS NO FUCKING JUSTICE. BUT HUBRIS... HAHAHA HUBRIS WILL CHANGE THAT"
19:43	Wrath	"THERE CAN'T BE THIS HELL THAT KILLED ME IF THERE IS NO HELL. NO HUMANITY. ALL WILL BE DEVOURED"
19:43	Reverb	"What exactly killed you."

19:47	Wrath	"MY OWN CHILDREN CONSPIRED TO KILL ME, LEFT ME TO DIE TO INHERIT EVERYTHING I OWNED AFTER MY WIFE WAS MURDERED BY ON THE ORDERS OF AN INFERIOR WHO WANTED MY PLACE"
19:48	Wrath	Slash as the flesh revealed part of his skin, tattooed with marks that Reverb can remember all too well. He's a Triad.
19:48	Wrath	"RAISED IN HELL AND KILLED BY MY KIN TO GET AHEAD WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO ESCAPE IT"
19:49	Wrath	"THERE IS NO ESCAPE. ALL IS HELL"
19:49	Reverb	"...Triad. Political killing."
19:50	Reverb	"Judging by skin tone, you're native Chinese."
19:51	Wrath	"AHAHAHA... THE TRIADS... 我会摧毁黑社会! THEY WILL ALL DIE AND SO WILL THIS ENTIRE CORRUPTED SPECIES"

19:52	Reverb	"No. No more death."
19:52	Reverb	"Show your face. The least I will do is give you an honorable death."
19:55	Wrath	It was obvious that his own power was waning as well as the suit. The symbiote has given up on him and would rather save itself then die along with him. He's due to die even if he lives. The armored helmet and jaw fell from his face, the bitter and sickly face of the Chinese man staring up at her...
19:57	Wrath	....His eyes were completely grayed over. He was blind. It seemed that for all its power the symbiote couldn't heal that as it was too busy keeping his destroyed corpse alive. Wrath looked like he would have been a handsome young man, probably in his 30's and having his children when he was a teenager.
20:00	Wrath	"Ending my stay in the hell we share will only send me to the next. 要快"
20:01	Wrath	"I was trained from birth to die and kill. I will not fail here"
20:01	Reverb	"あなたは、次の生活の中で平和を見つけることができます。" she said, forming an ornate blade in her hands. She took a deep breath, and swung, cutting clean through the neck.
20:07	Wrath	Wrath's head falls from his body, finally killing him. The armor and flesh that surrounded his body melted away, leaving only a mutilated torso lying as the symbiote itself slinked away. Upon his neck was printed his name in two languages. One in chinese and the other romanized. Zhanshi.
20:10	Wrath	Even then, before anything can be done of the body, it seems to evaporate into steam.
20:14	Reverb	Reverb stabs the sword into the ground, leaving it there. She fiddles with her headphones slowly, adjusting them to contact Ronald's disk.
20:15	Wrath	Ronald eventually picks up. "Katsumi?" he asked. "Did... did you do it?"
20:17	Reverb	"It's done." she said simply, walking away from the battlefield. "That's all you need to know."
20:19	Wrath	"I... I understand" he hears the short way she says it.
