and she just Kshatriya'd another challenger. I am officially vindicated in my battle plan to have Amuro, Kira, Lockon and her be a squadron wiping fleets with a 52-beam salvo. Offense? Defense? The Aerial is a complete mobile suit.

But what a loaded episode in general. This is what Sunrise's Gundam team has always been good at, in hindsight: when it needs to put in the effort and load up its runtime with good stuff, they will, and they'll look and sound good doing it. I'd hate to see this iteration of Elan go, as he's already warmed up to Suletta after the duel, but the whole clone or mind-wipe thing adds another intriguing layer.

Some of you wonder why I still root for this show. To me, the biggest thing is that G-Witch's success is gonna open up even more opportunities for mecha stories like this, for the kind of exploration of archetypes Suletta and Miorine and Guel inhabit, and it's also a big fat "FUCK YOU" to the mouth-breathers who say mecha is dead. 86 showed that a high-class production is possible, and Gundam here is proving that they're as relevant as Bleach. Surrounded by isekai shows that have more hype and more fans, G-Witch is somehow trending Top 7 upvotes on Reddit and just below Chainsaw Man on comment count. That's already better than I initially thought (which is barely 1k average), yet the show is only getting better.

I say this because G-Witch is on break next week and I admit, that may dampen some of its momentum. But stick with it; you'll be rewarded anyway. This is Gundam's biggest all-in bet since SEED, and the outlook is pretty great.
