# 7. What are your thoughts about the modern world?
#### I think technology is both the greatest gift and the greatest tragedy of today's society. It's a gift because we now have so much access to information that makes it easy to research topics and interests, learn new skills, and communicate with people across the world. We essentially have the world at our fingertips, where previously you would have had to go to different countries or institution to learn about certain things. It's also a tragedy because the younger generation are choosing online interactions *over* that of real life and are using these platforms to post pictures of themselves out of vanity, get sympathy from people rather than learning to solve their own problems, and are generally wasting their time (scrolling through Instagram/Twitter/Facebook for mundane things when they could be doing something constructive, playing constantly video games, whining about their lives, etc) . Modern culture is also a tragedy . People have diluted their minds with senseless information while not bothering to research things for themselves. People are way to easily offended *and* for some reason these same people are now in charge of policy and getting companies to censor people.
