- other Title: Charlie's not ready for this
- ---
- wait... did I save the idea about Charlie meeting a suicidality person?.
- I don't remember
- -
- I vaguely remember that happening and having chipped in on the subject. My piece was something like
- >A suicidal person is a new challenge for Charlie
- >The promise of redemption she's selling isn't enough for them
- >They don't want a better existence
- >They were hoping to stop existing entirely, and stop being in pain, but now it turns out there's a whole afterlife for them to continue suffering in
- >Assuring them that they can shape up and get into Heaven does nothing, they've come this far already, why not just wait for the next extermination and let one of the angels finally give them peace at the business end of a spear?
- >She doesn't know how to help someone who says they'd be just as miserable in Heaven as they are in Hell and were on Earth
- -
- the idea was in #264.
- can someone re-post it?
- ---
- From the #264 thread. part 1
- >I just kind of assume Charlie is playing amateur therapist. Like, when I was drafting that Chucky/Hazbin fic the majority of the bits was Charlie serving as a couples counselor for Chucky and Tiffany.
- -
- >I have some dark ideas from time to time, like how will charlie redeem a person who is suicidal?...
- -
- >or what if the person is can't feel any emotion or just hollow.
- >I want to see charlie try to redeem that
- -
- >A suicide presents some interesting challenges compared to the bulk of sinners who seem to have a "screw it, I'll just keep being evil" attitude. Someone who killed themselves is
- >Presumably tired of existing in general and is really upset that that they still exist
- >Already committed to the idea of escaping the burden of consciousness and probably willing to just wait around listlessly for the exterminators to finally, FINALLY put them out of their misery.
- >Charlie's selling point is going to be less "you can have a better life, free from the fear of being erased" and more just trying to convince them that existing at all is worth the trouble. Basically, she has to find a cure for depression that doesn't involve tons of pills.
- -
- >The fact that Hotel only has Charlie, Vaggie, Niffty and Husk as staff (Alastor is just a beneficiary, and Angel Dust's a patient), and no doctors/psychiatrist puts a bit of a damper on Charlie's hopes for redemption.
- I'm fairly certain most people who ended up in Hell would need some kind of therapy.
- -
- >true
- -
- >Fuck, I got a really dark idea for this.
- >do you guys want to hear it?
- -
- part 2
- >you know what, fuck it. I am going to make it.
- >for this idea, do you ever wonder if Charlie met someone or someone in the hotel got very depressed? she will be overwhelmed/not ready for this.
- >I know Charlie wants to redeem people but how will she get through a person if that person wants nothing more to die again. or someone who is broken.
- >I know this sounds weird but I got this idea from "Fine Print and (Un)Fair Fights" story.
- >I just imagine Charlie in her angel form, just finished someone that tries to kill husk or something. when she ready to turn back into her normal form... she felt someone tap her shoulder.
- >She looks behind her, it's some drunk demon and it looks mad for some reason. then the drunk demon begins to talk to her in a drunken state, rambling about stuff that Charlie has no idea what drunk demon talking about.
- >she wants to leave but she decided to stay a bit, as the drunk demon talk more and more... it began to make sense. The demon was talking about his life when he was still alive.
- >He talks about how it all started. how he found out his wife was sleeping with another guy, how she divorce him, took all the kids & the dog. left him with nothing, then he starts dirking, then drugs, then he has to move to a shitty apartment, and a lot more happen.
- >Charlie listening to this man story how his life continually tumbling down and down and down... until he kills himself. then he starts to bawl his eyes out. Charlie has no idea what to do, she tries her best to comfort.
- >...out of nowhere, he grabs Charlie by her arm, he turns his head to look Charlie face. tears still falling from his eyes
- >drunk demon: "are you an angel right?... kill me."
- ---
- >I am almost at the 2000. basically I really want to see Charlie try to take care of a broken person, I really want to see a story of that.
- >I have no idea if this is good or not... but I hope you like it
- -
- part 3.
- >Really interesting and i hope you keep going.
- -
- >If you really want to help me
- >Then end me
- >Not a bad idea. Charlie is a Disney princess. She's shown to be capable of feeling the ups and the downs, but she's clearly always going to lean toward the ups. I don't know that she'd even be capable of fully wrapping her head around the state of mind of someone who's so done with it all that they just want to stop being. It's anathema to all her goals and basic understanding of reality. She'd have no idea what to do
- -
- >It's a very compelling idea.
- >I always had a feeling that Charlie may have a slight Messiah Complex, and what else could put all of this to the test than with the individual treat with someone who had given into despair completely, while also juggling everything else!
- -
- >god i never knew i needed this so badly in my life
- >writefags I BEG OF YOU, PLEASE try to make a story where Charlie tries to cure depression
- -
- >Very interesting, but I feel like that's either an exceptionally difficult concept to write, or would require magical means like loving an Angel slowly curing your depression
- -
- >that is true
- > would require magical means like loving an Angel slowly curing your depression
- >angel had depression before, he can help out
- -
- >I think I just capitalized angel by habit, I meant maybe loving like, an actual angel would cure it slowly
- >But of course Angel would be helpful, if he were sympathetic to it
- -
- >yeah, good thing vaggie is there
