- Village:
- Sun- You're an honorable mermaid, mafia member, and wife. However, the people in your old gang are intent on splitting apart you and your husband, but you won't let that happen, because what kind of wife would you be if you can't even defend your own husband? Every night, you have to sing a song. This song will determine the actions of everyone in this game. The three songs are: Normal, Aggressive, and Lovestruck
- Normal: You know all the mafia members in your gang, so every night, you can choose a player, and see if they're in your gang.
- Aggressive: Your blade is quick, strong, and hard to beat. If anyone visits you while you're like this, you have a 25% chance of killing the first person who visits you.
- Lovestruck: Honor Among Thieves, is really Honor Among the Seas! Nothing will happen to the one you love on your watch. Once per game, if anyone visits Nagasumi, their action will be canceled, and they will be left in a bleeding state (they will die at the end of the next day phase).
- Nagasumi- You were just a normal high schooler before that fateful summer day, where you drowned, and Sun saved your life, causing you two to get married. Ever since then, you've been in constant danger your entire life, and have learned how to adapt to it.
- Normal: You can choose a player each night, and using your helpful nature, protect them from kills at night.
- Aggressive: Sun has sensed danger, and powered you up to face them. You can visit a player each night and kill them.
- Lovestruck: Sun is the love of your life, and you can't let any harm befall her. Once per game, you will kill the first visitor who visits Sun while you are in this mode.
- Lunar- You hate Sun, because even though you're an actual singer, and made it your entire career, everyone loves Sun's singing much more than yours. Because of this, you swore that you'd beat her one day, and have decided that the best way is to steal Nagasumi from her. If Sun dies, Lunar will sing one last song in her honor, and that'll be the song that everyone's powers reflect for the rest of the game.
- Normal: You can choose a player each night and sing to them. This song will render the listener useless, as they will be too stuck in a state of awe to perform their action at night.
- Aggressive: You're fed up with Sun getting more attention than you do. Each night you can choose a player, and sing them a song, so that their powers change at night.
- Lovestruck: You adore your attention that you're getting now that everyone loves you, and want to be remembered as a star forever. If you get lynched while in this state, everyone will be too busy honoring your death to die during the night.
- Mawari- You're childhood friends with Nagasumi, and ever since he came back from his summer vacation, things started getting weirder, and he wasn't the same as before. You intend to become a police officer, and you won't let a single person get away with any form of crime.
- Normal: At the end of the day phase, if nobody was lynched, you can choose a player, and put them in detention for investigation. During the night phase, that person will be unable to use their actions. Also, the jailer and jailee can communicate through anonymous messages through the host.
- Aggressive: You refuse to let anyone get away with illegal actions. You will randomly visit a player at night, and if that player visits anyone, you will arrest them, and they will have their actions cancelled, and they will be jailed the next night for investigations as to why they were loitering. If someone is set to be jailed at night, you can't set someone else to be jailed, even if there's a no-lynch.
- Lovestruck: Every night, you can choose a player, and jail the first person to visit that player the next night. What does this have to do with love? There's nothing Mawari loves more than justice! (In Justice we Trust!)
- Villagers- You don't have any actions, but are still affected in a certain way by the songs.
- Normal: When you die, your role shows as normal.
- Aggressive: You have a 50% chance of showing up as a mafia goon when you die.
- Lovestruck: When you die, your role will be shown as either "Team Sun" or "Team Lunar" (You can choose your team at the beginning of the game)
- Mafia:
- Gozaburo Seto- You're Sun's father, and you're pissed off that Sun decided to marry someone, that you just want to see her husband and all her friends dead, so that she can be your little girl once again. After pulling some strings, you managed to become a teacher at Sun's school, the perfect place to plot your revenge.
- Normal: Just because you're Sun's father, doesn't mean you're scared of her, and don't know how to fool her. If Sun looks into you at night, you'll show up as a villager. (Godfather)
- Aggressive: You can choose a player each night, and the next phase, they'll be too scared to speak, for fear of your wrath. Talking during this phase will get you modkilled. (Silencer)
- Lovestruck: You love Sun so much, you want people to know how much she means to you by recruiting people to your gang. You can choose someone at night, and that person will become a mafia goon the next day, however doing this will kill you. (Yakuza)
- Maki- You're Gozaburo's #1 Hitman, and you refuse to let him down under any stake. Your #1 goal is to take down everyone related to Sun in any way that isn't part of the gang, so whatever Gozaburo says, goes.
- Normal: Each night, you can trick the rest of the villagers into thinking they killed someone else by changing their appearance. (Tailor)
- Aggressive: You can choose someone each night and give the rest of the mafia a code-word. When that player says that word, then that's the mafia's que to strike them when nobody is looking. (Voodoo)
- Lovestruck: Your love for the Seto gang overwhelms you, and you have the urge to hide the body at night, so nobody knows who died. You realize feeling are dumb though, so you can only do this once. (Janitor)
- Fish Goons- Gozaburo called on you to help save Sun, and you're gonna do it for his sake! You don't have any powers, but are still moved by Sun's singing.
- Normal: Your role shows as normal.
- Aggresive: You have a 50% chance of showing up as a villager when you die.
- Lovestruck: You will show up as Team Sun, no matter what.
- Third Party:
- Chimp- You're a perv, but what does that matter when women are so naturally beautiful? You're only letting out your natural desires is all...
- Normal: As a pervert, you must choose one woman who will be your one true love. At the beginning of the game, you choose a female PR. If that PR makes it to the end of the game alive, you win along with the side that PR is on. If they die however, you'll die as well, so matter what song the game is on.
- Aggressive: Even though Nagasumi is your best friend, you're still pissed that he gets to hang out with so many beautiful women. Each night, you can kill someone. If the person you kill is Nagasumi, the game ends with you as a winner.
- Lovestruck: You love all women, big or small. Each night, you can visit someone to perv on them when they're sleeping. If you visit every living female character, you leave the game a winner.
- Lunar Papa- You're rich. You're invincible. You're a mafia leader. You have everything you want... except the love of your daughter.
- Normal: Each night, you can choose a player to visit. If you get lynched while the game is on this song, it'll end with you as a winner.
- Aggressive: You saw someone do something so rude to your little Lunar. You feel a great rage towards them. If that player you feel a rage for is lynched, the game ends with you as a winner.
- Lovestruck: You must make sure that your Lunar makes it through this game alive. Once per game, you can protect her at the cost of your own life. This'll ensure she can't die during the night phase, or the next day phase. If Lunar makes it to the end of the game alive, you'll win as well.
- Explination of the song system if anyone is still confused:
- The game starts out on Night 1 with the normal song. Sun can choose any song to change the actions to. This will affect the actions for the next night. So, let's say that Sun changes the song to Aggressive. That means that on Night 2, all of the actions will go off of the Aggressive line of actions. At the beginning of Day 1, the villagers will be aware of which song it'll be going into Night 2.
