  4. [23:45] * CaptainFarina walks to the knight's quarters, coming to a stop at the first room containing Rina and Andrea.
  5. [23:48] <CaptainFarina> Salvete. Is everyone finding everything alright?
  6. [23:48] <[Zem]R1N4> Oh- oh, hey, Captain!
  7. [23:48] * [Zem]R1N4 sits up at attention, still naked.
  8. [23:48] <Andrea> ! Captain?
  9. [23:48] * CaptainFarina freezes, upon seeing Rina.
  10. [23:49] <CaptainFarina> ah- jeez...
  11. [23:50] * CaptainFarina turns her head away, staring down the hall.
  12. [23:50] <[Zem]R1N4> Are you okay?
  13. [23:50] <Andrea> Ah, Rina, p-please make yourself decent in the presence of a superior.
  14. [23:50] <[Zem]R1N4> What do you mean by "decent"?
  15. [23:51] * CaptainFarina sighs.
  16. [23:51] <Andrea> ...Decent as in dressed
  17. [23:51] <CaptainFarina> The Specialist's state of dress, or lack thereof, would be inappropriate for present company.
  18. [23:51] <[Zem]R1N4> Oh, I should dress!
  19. [23:52] * [Zem]R1N4 starts putting her cloths 0x17clothes on.
  20. [23:52] * Andrea tries to hide her embarrassment.
  21. [23:52] <CaptainFarina> However, I did issue PTO from 1900 to 600, so... you're free to do as you please, within your own quarters. I do expect you to look after yourselves, however.
  22. [23:53] <[Zem]R1N4> I will be ready for duty at 0600.
  23. [23:53] <[Zem]R1N4> But cCaptain, could you answer a question for me?
  24. [23:54] <[Zem]R1N4> Why is being undressed considered "indecent"?
  25. [23:55] * CaptainFarina looks at Rina with something resembling pure loathing for a small moment, but then realizes she's not talking to a person, but a machine.
  26. [23:57] * CaptainFarina takes a deep breath...
  27. [23:58] * Andrea notices Farina's sour expression. Her gaze drops straight to her boots.
  28. [00:00] <CaptainFarina> ...humans conceal their private areas, such as the breasts and groin, for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, nudity is often considered a symbol of sex, which is deemed immoral to display to all but private company by human society as a whole. I personally do not care how effectively you dress yourself, on your own time and in your own room. However, If you walk these halls indecently, there will be problems. Is that clear?

  32. [00:01] * CaptainFarina exhales, and shuts the door.
  33. [00:02] * Andrea opens her mouth as if to call after Farina, but says nothing. She clears her throat, attempting to regain her composure.
  34. [00:04] <[Zem]R1N4> Do you consider me being undressed indecent?
  35. [00:05] <Andrea> ... It... would be considered as such normally, yes.
  36. [00:05] * CaptainFarina shakes her head. . o ( This is going great. Lay down fifty thousand venias out of your own pocket for a exhibitionist robot. For that much, they should be able to put in a few lines of dress code... )
  37. [00:06] * Andrea appears lost in melancholy.
  38. [00:06] * [Zem]R1N4 notices. "Are you okay?"
  39. [00:07] * CaptainFarina regains her composure and moves on to the next room. She knocks on the side panel and peers in a bit more cautiously.
  40. [00:07] * Andrea looks up with a convincing, yet decidedly hollow smile.
  41. [00:07] <Andrea> Yes, of course.
  42. [00:08] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte looks up from her discussion of spear-hunting with the Lieutenant.
  43. [00:09] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte shoots to her feet and would have snapped off a salute had she not whacked her head on the upper bunk rail.
  44. [00:10] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Ow, Fon--godloving motherscrapping doubleshitberg farking ow dammit
  45. [00:10] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte lets loose a stream of invective in her pain.
  46. [00:11] <[Zem]R1N4> Okay.
  47. [00:11] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte clutches her head, and salutes weakly.
  48. [00:11] <CaptainFarina> ...
  49. [00:11] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ...Sorry, Captain... ow...
  50. [00:12] * CaptainFarina looks to her LT for some sort of explanation for this fuck up before them.
  51. [00:13] * [Pyg]Anstice can't help but giggle at the sight, covering her mouth with her hand.
  52. [00:13] * CaptainFarina shakes her head, a small grin showing itself on one side of her lips.
  53. [00:15] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte realizes that she isn't getting yelled at for swearing like a miner. This is a Positive Thing. Nothing to make a habit of, but nothing that will get her canned. Good.
  54. [00:15] <CaptainFarina> Private Blaeksprutte, I do believe you will soon become a shining example to all about what it means to be an Iron Maiden. And I mean that with all my heart.
  55. [00:15] * Andrea 's tone, though very faint, carries echoes of frustration.
  56. [00:16] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte considers that anyone who can put up with that Locke guy-- damn, what was his rank, again? --probably knows how to let things go.
  57. [00:17] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Ah... um. Thank you, ma'am...?
  58. [00:17] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte isn't sure if that's an insult or not, but it sounds good. Maybe.
  59. [00:20] <[Zem]R1N4> The electricity here... feels strange.
  60. [00:20] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Glad to shine, then, ma'am. Does it always hurt this much?
  61. [00:21] <CaptainFarina> However, if you continue to receive injuries within your own quarters, I'm afraid you'll be required to wear full-iron at all times, as it would be a great waste of effort and resources to have you kill yourself on a... bunk bed rail.
  62. [00:21] <Andrea> Oh. I see.
  63. [00:21] * Andrea says dryly.
  64. [00:21] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> I'll try to avoid such, ma'am.
  65. [00:22] <CaptainFarina> I'll be counting on it.
  66. [00:23] <CaptainFarina> Lieutenant Crowley, aside from sudden engagements with bunk bed steel framing, is there anything I should be aware of?
  67. [00:25] <[Zem]R1N4> It's... hard to explain. The language doesn't have words for tastes of electricity, but if I were pressed, I'd say that it's more... ragged, surgy, than normal.
  68. [00:26] <[Pyg]Anstice> "Nothing else, Captain."
  69. [00:28] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte has seated herself back down on her bed, rubbing the forming bump.
  70. [00:29] * Andrea gives R1N4 a long, hard look before sighing.
  71. [00:29] <CaptainFarina> I see. Why don't you show the new recruits to our rather luxurious bathing facilities? Let 'em know what heaven feels like before we send 'em all to hell.
  72. [00:31] <Andrea> ... I would be lying if I said I wasn't mad. I don't mind what you do here, when it's just the two of us, and I know you didn't mean any harm, but please try not to do anything that would upset the captain. Okay?
  73. [00:33] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte perks up a bit at this. A bath sounds good.
  74. [00:33] <[Zem]R1N4> I understand. You are hoping to advance far here, then?
  75. [00:33] <[Pyg]Anstice> "Ah, of course, the baths."
  76. [00:34] * Andrea begins to smile again. Genuine, this time.
  77. [00:34] <Andrea> Yes, something like that.
  78. [00:35] <[Zem]R1N4> That is... ambitious. I just hope I can help the people here.
  79. [00:37] <Andrea> I'm glad. Let's both do our best to help this company, then.
  80. [00:37] * CaptainFarina nods, and departs.
  81. [00:44] * [Pyg]Anstice turns back to Blaeksprutte.
  82. [00:45] <[Pyg]Anstice> "Get what you'll need, I'll show you to the baths."
  83. [00:51] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Oh, okay!
  84. [00:53] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte gathers up a towel, some shampoo, and some soap, and bounds up to the lieutenant.
  85. [00:53] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> I think I've got everything.
  86. [00:55] <[Pyg]Anstice> "This way then."
  87. [00:56] * [Pyg]Anstice heads out the room and heads toward the large doors at the end of the hall.
  88. [00:56] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte follows Anstice out.
  89. [01:03] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Are you going to be bathing too, Lieutenant?
  90. [01:06] <[Pyg]Anstice> "I've already bathed in preparation for greeting you all."
  91. [01:06] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ...Oh.
  92. [01:07] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte is a little disappointed.
  93. [01:10] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte had hoped to be able to talk with somebody over a good long soak, but no such luck.
  94. [01:11] * [Zem]R1N4 continues reading.
  95. [01:14] * [Pyg]Anstice stops at the doors and opens them, revealing the large bath within.
  96. [01:14] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ...Oooh...
  97. [01:16] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Thank you very much, Lieutenant! I'm sorry you couldn't join in as well. Umm... I'll see you in the morning?
  98. [01:20] <[Zem]R1N4> Andrea, do you bathe in the morning or at night?
  99. [01:21] <Andrea> Hm? Oh, whenever the bath is empty, usually. Why?
  100. [01:22] <[Zem]R1N4> Well, I was wondering if you knew where the baths were. Today was fairly intensive, and I want to be clean for tomorrow.
  101. [01:24] <[Pyg]Anstice> "Yes, I'll see you in the morning, Miss Blaeksprutte. Enjoy your bath."
  102. [01:24] * [Pyg]Anstice gives her a little smile before turning around and going elsewhere.
  103. [01:26] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte smiles back, and waves a little.
  104. [01:26] <Andrea> Ah, that's a good idea. I think I have an idea of where it is... Do you mind if I join you?
  105. [01:27] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte heads into the bath proper, and takes off her clothes, folding them, and puts them off to the side before dipping into the warm, toasty water.
  106. [01:27] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Ahhhh~
  107. [01:29] <[Zem]R1N4> Not at all.
  108. [01:30] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte lies back in the water and relaxes.
  109. [01:31] * Andrea nods happily and begins to gather her toiletries.
  110. [01:31] * [Zem]R1N4 gathers her own toiletries as well, some of them with little resemblance to human ones.
  111. [01:32] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte dozes off. So pleasant~
  112. [01:34] * [Zem]R1N4 opens the door. "So where is it?"
  113. [01:37] <Andrea> This way.
  114. [01:37] * Andrea exits and walks towards the baths.
  115. [01:39] * [Zem]R1N4 follows Andrea, looking carefully at the other doors she passes and noting all of them with labels.
  116. [01:39] <Andrea> Hah... I can't get comfortable around others like this very often. I'm glad we're sharing a room, Rina.
  117. [01:40] <[Zem]R1N4> So am I. Thank you for accepting me.
  118. [01:40] * Andrea chatters merrily up until they reach the doors to the baths. She pushes them open.
  119. [01:41] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> z~
  120. [01:41] <Andrea> ...!
  121. [01:41] * [Zem]R1N4 looks at the bath, and the archtarchitecture, and finally notices Blaek there.
  122. [01:45] <[GM]Mary> The bath room is fairly pristine, its visible perimeter cleaned to a nice, gleaming white. The bath itself is simply a bowled engraving in the floor, a sort of scooped drop filled with water.
  123. [01:46] <[Zem]R1N4> Oh, Hi Blaeksprutte. Do you mind if we join you?
  124. [01:47] <Andrea> O-oh... forgive me. I didn't know there was anyone else here.
  125. [01:47] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ...
  126. [01:47] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ........z.
  127. [01:47] * Andrea withdraws from the doorway slightly.
  128. [01:47] * CaptainFarina catches Anstice in the hallway, politely stopping her to ask a question.
  129. [01:48] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte is still fast asleep.
  130. [01:49] <CaptainFarina> Ah, Lieutenant, have you seen Rina?
  131. [01:49] * [Zem]R1N4 shrugs and starts taking off her clothing.
  132. [01:50] * Andrea turns away from the door.
  133. [01:55] * [Zem]R1N4 finishes, and slips into the tub.
  134. [01:59] <[Pyg]Anstice> "No, ma'am."
  135. [02:00] <Andrea> Hmm.. Ah, Rina? When you're done, could you please wake Miss Blaeksprutte? It isn't healthy to stay in too long. I'll use the bath after she is finished.
  136. [02:01] <[Zem]R1N4> Okay. Will you just wait here, then?
  137. [02:01] <CaptainFarina> Hm? Didn't you speak to the boots about bathing facilities and the like?
  138. [02:02] <Andrea> Yes. Unless there is something I can get you?
  139. [02:03] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> z~
  140. [02:04] * Andrea suddenly becomes subservient, as if it were a programmed attitude for the situation.
  141. [02:05] <[Zem]R1N4> I'm fine. I have brought everything I need.
  142. [02:05] <Andrea> Ok...
  143. [02:07] <[Zem]R1N4> If you were to bathe with me, we could wash each others' backs.
  144. [02:08] <Andrea> Ah, yes, that's right... I'll be right in.
  145. [02:10] <[Pyg]Anstice> "The only one I told about the baths was Miss Blaeksprutte."
  146. [02:12] * Andrea hesitantly enters and undresses, keeping her eyes on Blaeksprutte the entire time. Her body's skin is as white as that of her face, and large burns are visible all over. She climbs in at the point furthest from Blaeksprutte.
  147. [02:13] <CaptainFarina> I'm almost certain I said "new recruits" and not "new recruit"... Oh well, it doesn't matter. If you catch her before I do, send her my way. I'll be in my room.
  148. [02:13] * CaptainFarina continues on her way.
  149. [02:15] * Andrea slowly approaches Blaeksprutte, keeping underwater up to her chin.
  150. [02:16] <Andrea> ...Excuse me. You'll become ill if you sleep in the bath like this.
  151. [02:16] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ....z?
  152. [02:17] <[Zem]R1N4> Yes. If you get sick, it will impair the unit efficiency.
  153. [02:17] * Andrea retreats.
  154. [02:18] * [Zem]R1N4 does not seem to mind Andrea's scars.
  155. [02:19] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte is hazily aware of voices.
  156. [02:20] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte turns over. Better~
  157. [02:21] * [Zem]R1N4 shakes Blaek's shoulder to wake her.
  158. [02:23] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Zmmrgmf?
  159. [02:23] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> what?
  160. [02:23] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> oh.
  161. [02:23] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> ....what?
  162. [02:25] * [Pyg]Anstice nods to her captain and resumes on her way.
  163. [02:28] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> I alm'st had th' bastard.
  164. [02:28] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> Was doin' fine.
  165. [02:28] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> what?
  166. [02:29] <[Zem]R1N4> You need to finish bathing and get out or you will catch pneumonia. Also, you're starting to get wrinkly.
  167. [02:30] * [Atai]Blaeksprutte looks at Rina, and then looks at her skin.
  168. [02:30] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> 'm not wrinkled.
  169. [02:30] <[Atai]Blaeksprutte> and pneumonia?
