This smacks of racism: set up an ethnic food market off-the-beaten path from the Olympic site. Mis-sell the pitches and rake in a fortune. And provide no marketing assistance on the Olympic site to guide customer to the market. It stinks.

To the petition organiser: upload the council documents to Scribd.com.  Take pictures of where the market is, upload them to YFrog,com.  Locate each picture on Google Maps to indicate the full depth of the problem.  Are there other markets or shopping facilities that are nearer?  And do they have any marketing materials on site - what's driving their foot-fall, or is it just better location?

Lots of questions, forgive me, I live in Manchester and am watching the sporting spectacle on the TV, with no idea of the retail catastrophes going on behind the scenes.    And if you've already done all this, apologies.
