  1. Rosenkrantz_GM IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
  2. Rosenkrantz_GM ++ALL HANDS TO STATIONS++ Alarm klaxons sound on all decks. The armsmen rush to form their teams and lock down decks.
  3. Rosenkrantz_GM Wilhelm and Marius both are surrounded by a team of Household Guardsmen. They await orders from their Lord-Protector.
  4. Rosenkrantz_GM The Chief Bosun reports the mutiny to have arisen aftwards, towards the Plasma Engines and Warp Drives.
  5. Makh_Chomun "Secure them both in the Captain's quarters. Lock it down. LOCK. IT. DOWN." He orders out in a terse growl, much louder than you'd think it possible over the din of the bridge. "Rally the House Guard and armsmen, they are to engage the mutineers piece by piece. Downfield, have my armor brought as we head down." Makh's face is dark, most of you have never seen him so cold and angry, even when...
  6. Makh_Chomun ...he was in the process of killing his adoptive father he showed more emotion in his rage. No one mutiny's under his command.
  7. Rosenkrantz_GM The House Guard snap to; Wilhelm and Marius are escorted out of sight almost immediately.
  8. Rosenkrantz_GM Along your way down you see every armsman, House Guard squad, and rating able to hold a wrench as a weapon organize as though preparing to repel a mass boarding action on the ship. Everyone is in motion.
  9. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +Status of plasma drives?+
  10. Josef connects to a nearby console and starts issuing orders and rites to the Medicae Deck while checking on the Engine Room. With his path cut off to the destroyed plasma vents, Josef decides it to best to regroup with Chomun.
  11. Rosenkrantz_GM The main thoroughfare station which houses the levatus routes is the busiest segment you reach. There, you find Josef, surrounded by techpriests who are trying to override safety mechanisms that have sealed shut access hatches to the enginarium.
  12. Rosenkrantz_GM There, it is Ven Dreiger who has the Lord-Protector's gear ready, as Downfield issues orders to the House Guard.
  13. Josef +Destroyed, Lord-Captain. In need of emergency repairs.+
  14. Rosenkrantz_GM "Breach teams ready up!" Downfield calls, pointing to a squad.
  15. Makh_Chomun equips himself while on the move, stopping when he has to, his face grim, not full of the usual pre-battle mirth and camaraderie that usually emanates from the Lord-Protector.
  16. Vivian in the meantime was putting the call to her own agents on board- calling them to fall back to safety and steering clear, otherwise focus on finding the source of the mutiny.
  17. Baine_Mort readies his bolt pistol, "We know if anyone is on the other side?"
  18. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz stands silently, a cold sweat running down his back as he is racked with flashbacks of his almost too vivid dreams
  19. Josef opens the hatch using a series of emergency codes.
  20. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Steady men, what lies before us is betrayal and heresy. We stand as the will of the Emperor as we purge those who would turn against their rightful masters. We will reclaim our sacred vessel and send all those that oppose us into the void. Long live the Emperor and long live House Rosenkrantz!"
  21. Rosenkrantz_GM As the machine spirit comes to life, slowly opening the way forward, the men roar with righteous zeal in reply to their Lord-Captain's words. Weapons rattle, and boots storm the plate as they push past eachother into the opening.
  22. Rosenkrantz_GM (deckplate)
  23. Makh_Chomun wades in with his own men, his thunder hammer cracking and popping as little bolts of electricity shoot out. "Channel your fury sons of Rosenkrantz!"
  24. Rosenkrantz_GM As the amassed response of the Consequence pushes through, a loud cacophanous boom rattles the Consequence - the consoles around you power down, and flicker back to life, wires sparking.
  25. Baine_Mort "That can't be good." Mort says as the power comes back.
  26. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +What the fuck was that?+
  27. Makh_Chomun +Josef!+
  28. Josef +A containment unit for the plasma is completely destroyed.+
  29. Makh_Chomun growls.
  30. Rosenkrantz_GM +Mass casualty event along port side of the Enginarium+ the Chief Bosun reports in brief.
  31. Makh_Chomun "CLOSE THE BLAST DOORS! HALT! CLOSE THE BLAST DOORS! JOSEF!"
  32. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +"All Personnel quickly withdraw!" He says, trying to sound as calm and confident as possible."+
  33. Baine_Mort begins to fall back past the blast door.
  34. Josef is too slow to react as Lady Vivian is at the console.
  35. Vivian was already rather desperately trying to work the console to close the blast doors, just as Makh was screaming it out.
  36. Rosenkrantz_GM The techpriest rushes forward as the rest of the group begins to pull back at the command of their Lord-Captain. The unwieldy genetor falls over, however. But it is the Acquisitionist, Vivian, who doesn't spare any time to rush forward as the glowing blue plasma fire advances to activate the console, shutting the blast doors in the last possible moment.
  37. Makh_Chomun "Shchlag."
  38. Rosenkrantz_GM Such is the heat, that the blast doors are unable to contain it all. You can /feel/ the hellish heat from the other side, as the metal slowly begins to glow from the center radiating outwards, slowly and subtely warping.
  39. Makh_Chomun "You heard Friedrich! Fallback!"
  40. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +Bridge, we have fire spreading quickly throughout the ship, depressurize the hallway directly in front us.+
  41. Rosenkrantz_GM You fall back to a safe distance, behind the next blast door. As you do so, you can hear and feel the ejection of atmosphere, as the metal begins to cool, and lose its glow.
  42. Josef "That is why I don't like working down here."
  43. Rosenkrantz_GM "Lord-Protector, we must use the maintenance tunnels to reach the Enginarium!"
  44. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "You should focus on your Cardio Augments next Josef."
  45. Makh_Chomun "That's going to slow progress....very well. Stay vigilant!"
  46. Josef "My bionic are at peak efficiency. Unfortunately,I am not as fast as I used to be."
  47. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Very well, proceed to the Maintenance tunnels
  48. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz ."
  49. Rosenkrantz_GM "Aye, sir!"
  50. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz begins to make his way towards the tunnels. As he proceeds towards the objective with soldiers rushing all around him he is taken back to his days in the navy. He recalls the endless drills and instructions beat continuously into his head by angry sergeants and overly eager fellow Sailors... but wait, what is bothering him? he searches through his memories of instructions on what to do...
  51. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz ...during a shipboard fire. He comes to a halt as he recalls a story about several men committing the same mistake as they were and all of them perished as a result. "Halt!" he calls +Titus, are the Maintenance tunnels safe?+
  52. Rosenkrantz_GM +We have stopped receiving sensory data from them, Captain.+
  53. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +Are you aware of any safe routes to the Enginarium?+ he then points to Josef "Find a terminal and get me more information."
  54. Baine_Mort "Well best bet is to always assume that they aren't safe and that any path we take will have some sort of danger along the way."
  55. Makh_Chomun "Hmmmm, Downfield is that vault still open from my little pet project?"
  56. Rosenkrantz_GM "The Arena?" she asks
  57. Makh_Chomun he nods.
  58. Rosenkrantz_GM "I believe so. The techpriests have left it open to begin recovering old servitors along the passages."
  59. Makh_Chomun "Well how about that, Friedrich!" He calls to the young man. "Let us make for the storage vault. It will allow us better access and it won't be like we're walking down a death trap to our destination.":
  60. Rosenkrantz_GM It's an odd suggestion. One that would have been unexpected in any other context, but when you arrive at the conflict resulution Arena, you can see what the Lord-Protector means. During its construction, an old storage vault was opened up. It led to the low-deck corridors that have long-ago been abandoned, which once were used by servitors transitting between it, and the enginarium above.
  61. Rosenkrantz_GM The vault and the corridors are barely powered with the essentials. Atmospherics, grav plating, and not much else. Lighting is scant, with the odd flickering emergency glow-rune.
  62. Makh_Chomun "Not a pleasant place, but the underdome of any arena hardly is." He muses for a moment before remembering the grim task at hand.
  63. Baine_Mort "Well this is totally not a place we can get lost in!:
  64. Rosenkrantz_GM The Captain and the Genetor lead the group through the labyrinth-like corridors, until the Cog of the Omnissiah marks that you are now underneath the Enginarium itself.
  65. Rosenkrantz_GM The climb up is... uncomfortable, however the sounds of an engagement tell you that you are near.
  66. Rosenkrantz_GM The Chief-Bosun and his men are somewhere nearby engaging the mutineers with extreme prejudice.
  67. Rosenkrantz_GM Echoing shotgun blasts, autogun bursts, and lasfire claps assault your ears.
  68. Makh_Chomun spins the hammer in his two-handed grip in anticipation. If he didn't kill some of these mutineers he would go crazy.
  69. Rosenkrantz_GM The corridors, however, haven't been used in centuries. As a result, neither the manual hatch, nor the servitorized motors are responsive. And while the clouded viewport reveals the presence of armsmen moving to engage, you are stuck.
  70. Makh_Chomun "Josef?"
  71. Josef "One moment, Lord Chomum."
  72. Rosenkrantz_GM "Downfield," the Lieutenant says, sharply correcting her superior, while holding a melta breaching charge.
  73. Rosenkrantz_GM "I will face court martial for the destruction of ship property in this manner if necessary," Downfield continues as she sets the charge, and waves armsmen to back away.
  74. Makh_Chomun smiles wanly. "I'll back you up on it."
  75. Rosenkrantz_GM She backs up several meters, and takes cover behind the dead servitorized consoles, covering her ears.
  76. Rosenkrantz_GM "Breaching! Breaching!"
  77. Rosenkrantz_GM The fact is, you don't hear the blast.
  78. Rosenkrantz_GM Nor anything else, frankly, as the hatch is blown clear off some ten meters.
  79. Josef *Sighs* and says "Why must the beast continue to suffer?'
  80. Rosenkrantz_GM The high-pitched ringing in your ears then sets in as your senses try to recover.
  81. Makh_Chomun "At them!" He screams despite the lack of sound.
  82. Rosenkrantz_GM The men pour forward.
  83. Baine_Mort moves up with his bolt pistol in hand.
  84. Josef pulls out his Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield, and Power Axe and screams "IT IS TIME!"
  85. Makh_Chomun charges forward, in-line with his own men and women.
  86. Rosenkrantz_GM At first, the Chief Bosun's men turn, ready to engage. But the sight of the Lord-Protector is one they could never mistake for anything else. Though you can't hear it yet, they cheer in unison as they push onward.
  87. Rosenkrantz_GM As you step through you realize you are having to mind your footing. Casualties from servitors, to dutiful techpriests, to armsmen and various ratings fallen in defense of their ship.
  88. Rosenkrantz_GM "Grenade!"
  89. Makh_Chomun His helmets vox speakers nearly screech as his roar is loosed, even over the cacophony of battle his voice is still heard as he wades in.
  90. Rosenkrantz_GM Some 15 meters ahead of you, a blast takes out a group of the ship's men, shrapnel shredding through them, bouncing on the deck and ceiling.
  91. Vivian frowns, though she does take position, arming herself with her Chainsword and Hellgun. Though as she did, eyes would scan the floor- searching for survivors to assist, or any straggler mutineers that would need proper 'putting down'.
  92. Rosenkrantz_GM The Chief Bosun approaches, then. The man is bloodied, with a fierce look about him.
  93. Rosenkrantz_GM "Lord-Chomun! They are trying to drill through to the second plasma containment unit! They have set up along all five passageways and are fending us off."
  94. Makh_Chomun "Point me to their thickest resistance and I will break them!" He commands to the Chief Bosun.
  95. Rosenkrantz_GM He then turns to see Friedrich. "Captain? By the Emperor, Captain, what are you doing here?"
  96. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "I've come to investigate myself, and I thought you could use some help."
  97. Rosenkrantz_GM "The Central corridor, my Lord," Chief Bosun Verites points to the broadest of them on a schematic he produces from his pocket. "Some two dozen casualties so far trying to advance into it. They have a barricade set up, and are well armed."
  98. Makh_Chomun "Not for long." He motions for some of the HG to follow him into the fray.
  99. Rosenkrantz_GM Piles of servitors, plasteel containers, and stripped metal panels are all being used by the Armsmen for cover when you enter the broad central corridor. There is a stalemate, with no further advances possible for the armsmen, who desperately try to remove their dead and wounded from the front.
  100. Rosenkrantz_GM A burst of fire floods the corridor. A heavy stubber.
  101. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Push this scum back! Let them feel the might of the Rosenkrantz Dynasty!" he shouts encouragingly to his men
  102. Rosenkrantz_GM The sight -an unexpected one- of their Captain rallies the men.
  103. Rosenkrantz_GM "For Captain Friedrich! For the Consequence! For the Dynasty!"
  104. Rosenkrantz_GM "Huzzah!"
  105. Rosenkrantz_GM All around you, in parallel and adjoining corridors the fighting rages on. Dozens of loyal armsmen and mutineers fighting til the death.
  106. Makh_Chomun takes up his hammer and charges forth, his warcry bursting from the vox-speakes of his helm as he charged at the enemy. His fury and speed is so tempered that he slams into the thickest of the enemy resistance before they can shoot at him. He swings his mighty thunder hammer, his lightning arc claiming four traitorous lives.
  107. Baine_Mort uses his bolt pistol to fire at the mutineers, though he is unable to kill any.
  108. Josef slowly moves up to get some cover.
  109. Rosenkrantz_GM The enemy formation charges in retaliation against the Lord-Protector.
  110. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz rushes to Makhs aid, drawing his power sword and Inferno Pistol
  111. Makh_Chomun bears the brunt of the enemies counterattack, grunting at the force of it. His fury continues to fuel his advance.
  112. Vivian carefully aims with her needle pistol, letting loose with a explosive dart while all the mayhem was happening.
  113. Makh_Chomun Now that he's in the thick of it he throws in his fury, his hatred, and his wrath into his swings, practically massacring the enemies in front of him. The mutineers only deserved death after all.
  114. Rosenkrantz_GM The brunt of the Lord-Protector's attack is such, that the enemy formation begins to falter. In no time at all, the barricades have been abandoned as they begin to fall back, deeper into the corridor.
  115. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Are you okay Makh?"
  116. Rosenkrantz_GM The House Guard press forward, passing through the armsmen to give chase, firing at the retreating mutineers.
  117. Josef "Let me take a look at your wounds, Lord Chomun."
  118. Baine_Mort moves up to Chomun's position.
  119. Josef begins quickly patching up Chomun's injuries. It is not a clean nor pretty job, but it will do.
  120. Josef runs up to the potential planted demo charge
  121. Baine_Mort looks over towards one of the near by pipes, "Shit, BOMB!"
  122. Josef starts examining the device and scans it. He looks for the wire to defuse the charge and rips it.
  123. Josef "There's a symbol on this device."
  124. Josef looks at it and says "Yup, I have no information on what it is."
  125. Vivian perks up at the word "Symbol", then wanders over to investigate.
  126. Josef puts the device up to Lady Vivian's face and points to the symbol.
  127. Vivian furrows her brow as she looked at the symbol.. Mumbling it albeit a bit loudly, trying to recollect what info she could recall on the origin.
  128. Makh_Chomun "Wait a second, how could they be here?" He says as he takes a peek at the explosive.
  129. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "This is far from their usually hunting grounds."
  130. Rosenkrantz_GM +Captain. It appears the mutineers have gotten themselves trapped in an auxiliary power compartment. We are setting up outside the blast doors.+ Chief Bosun Verites calls.
  131. Makh_Chomun "I'll be sure to make it a personal mission to wipe them out," he growls.
  132. Vivian "We need to move. There are our own in there. The sooner we go, the more we help and save."
  133. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +Prepare to wipe them out.+
  134. Rosenkrantz_GM On your arrival to the nearby compartment, Verites approaches.
  135. Rosenkrantz_GM "I just don't understand, Captain. The mutiny was, all accounted for, a minimal number of men. They would have had no chance at capturing the ship."
  136. Rosenkrantz_GM "Perhaps three hundred at most, now reduced to a third or less of that inside," he points.
  137. Vivian "There has to have been an influence. Even my Agents didn't catch this."
  138. Rosenkrantz_GM "Aye, we've kept the discipline on every deck. Nothing could have alerted us of this," he nods.
  139. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Probably these mercenaries at work."
  140. Makh_Chomun "All that matters now is they all die, in the worst possible way." No remorse flecked Makh's voice, it was going to be a long cycle.
  141. Rosenkrantz_GM "Well, Captain, I will get out of your way. The men are ready for anything you order."
  142. Rosenkrantz_GM He makes the sign of the Aquila and returns to his men.
  143. Baine_Mort "Well if we can capture at least one maybe we can find out who is behind all this." Mort suggest to Chomun.
  144. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Makh, finish this."
  145. Makh_Chomun hefts his hammer in reply.
  146. Josef "What's the plan, Lord Chomun?"
  147. Makh_Chomun "Kill them all," most thoughts of tactics are out the window with Makh, his fury still consumed his more rational thoughts.
  148. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz "Gather some shields and sweep the rooms, I want every one of them dead."
  149. Vivian frowns.. Then goes on to connect to the coms of the key members of the armsmen and the loyal ratings, informing them of the plan and to discreetly inform the rest to get into position.
  150. Baine_Mort swaps out his bolt pistol for his Presecutor Shotgun, "Well this well be exciting."
  151. Rosenkrantz_GM House Guard and Armsmen alike form up into squads. One shieldman, one grenadier, and two pointment armed with shotguns.
  152. Makh_Chomun rallies the men and women for the upcoming attack.
  153. Rosenkrantz_GM The groups stand ready for the blastdoors to be opened up.
  154. Rosenkrantz_GM The final attack is launched. What follows is a methodical attack. At first, the mutineers fight back, resisting your advance. It isn't long, however, until they begin to break and panic. The rest is a well-ordered butchery along every corridor, every chamber, every corner in which they attempt to hide. Unable to flee, it becomes little more than a rat hunt, some even trying to crawl
  155. Rosenkrantz_GM through vents to escape before being hunted down.
  156. Rosenkrantz_GM By the end of it all, blood flows through the deckplate on the auxiliary power compartment.
  157. Rosenkrantz_GM Shields, melee weapons, and armor on you and your men alike is covered in it, too. There are no cheers at the end. Only silence as you leave the chamber for the ratings to take care of the gruesome cleanup job ahead.
  158. Makh_Chomun "Let the Emperor sort them out, they'll have no mercy from us." He intones in rage.
  159. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +Status of Wilhelm and Marius?"+
  160. Rosenkrantz_GM Whatever the impetus for this uprising, whatever the chances of their success were. One thing is clear in the mind of all aboard the Consequence. The lords Rosenkrantz are not to be crossed.
  161. Rosenkrantz_GM +The Lord-Admiral now commands the bridge, Captain. Lord Marius stands to my side+ Titus reports.
  162. Friedrich_Eugene_Rosenkrantz +Very well.+ he says, letting a sigh of relief escape
  163. Vivian in the meantime, was gathering her agents to account for who all was there, the damages that was done, the status of everything overall. A report had to be made, afterall.
