They rounded the next corner together, and Winter roared as she saw a figure in a White Fang uniform by a door up ahead. There were two downed soldiers at their feet. The figure looked up in time to see them – but not fast enough to escape entirely.

Winter covered the distance in a fraction of a second. Her sabre whistled through the air. The faunus dodged to the side, face concealed by the mask and wearing a hood. They kicked out with one leg and caught the Schnee in the stomach to wind her. A follow-up kick knocked her back into the steel door and a stolen rifle rose to finish her.
