  1. My thoughts on AGDQ 2018:
  2.
  3. I had a blast. It was an amazing experience. It was so great to meet all the people that I have met over the past years, and just enjoy life with them.
  4. At times it was really exhausting. I am just not used to be around so many people the whole time.
  5. The only bad thing about this whole trips were the flights. I didn't fly in like 15 years, and I always thought that flying is great.
  6. I guess the weather is to blame for this, but I would also blame the JFK Airport for handling everything so poorly.
  7. People who went through the Dulles Airport didn't seem to have any problems. This is a lesson I learned for the future.
  8.
  9. Here a little summary from both of the flights.
  10. When I went to NY, apparently the snow was still so bad, that they only had one working gate. With the JFK Airport being super busy, you could imagine how it went. Hundreds of airplanes just driving around on the tarmac until the gate was available. After a 8:30hrs flight, all I wanted was just to get off that plane.
  11. Luckily all the passengers took this chill, so nothing crazy happened on the plane.
  12. After that, the customs were HELL. So many people in a queue, and only a handful of people at the counters to handle the big mass. A fucking pain tbh.
  13. When I got trough, I just wanted to get my luggage and get the hell out of there.
  14. Too bad none of the staff really knew what was going on, so we all just had to blindly guess where our stuff will be.
  15. The worst part of that was, that it was impossible for me to contact anyone. Because the whole building was just fucking concrete or something, I wasn't able to get a signal or WiFi. So I couldn't really let paco know what was happening, making him wait for 6hrs. Sorry paco. dot5Hands
  16.
  17. Not sure if my trip back was even worse.
  18. I was suppoed to catch my flight at 22:30pm on sunday, but it was delayed to 00:50 due to bad weather.
  19. My connection flight in Oslo to Hamburg was impossible to catch. I took the plane anyway, because at this point I just wanted to get back to Europe.
  20. When I landed in Oslo I had to somehow find my way. I went to the customer support, and they just rerouted my from Oslo to Brussels and then back home. The flight was only 3hrs later, so I just took it. It was probably my only chance.
  21. When i got on the plane, I thought nothing could go wrong. Too bad it snowed like crazy, and apparently Norway is as bad at handling snow as NY. We were in a queue for deicing for a solid 2hrs, making me miss my connection flight again.
  22. Landing in Brussels we were escorted to customer support again. They booked us a (really nice) hotel and a shuttle to get there and back.
  23. Arriving there we got a free dinner, I went to my room to take a shower and just fell asleep immediatly. Too bad I didn't have any fresh clothes, because they kept my stuff at the aiport. (When I think about this, that was actually really nice. The lines in the check-in at the airport the next day were awful.)
  24. So i catched my shuttle back to the airport at 6:30am the next day, killed some time until my flight, went through security, and it was just smooth sailing after that.
  25. At that point I was awake for 42hrs, so I was just glad to be back home, and fell into my bed immediatly and took a nice nap.
  26.
  27. So now my thoughts on AGDQ:
  28. It was the best week I've had in a while. First of all, I loved New York. I loved to hang out with paco and Beekay, see a little bit of the city, and had the best pizza in the world.
  29. Also I loved to say hello to everyone I wanted. I finally got to meet all the people I have known for so long. I also got to hang out with people I barely talked before. Meeting all the new people was so good.
  30. In the end I didn't get to play as much as I actually planned to, but it was fine.
  31. It was fun to drive around and get food.
  32. Also just to hang out in the hotel room, play games, get drunk, and just talking and laughing with everyone was hella fun.
  33. I also really enjoyed the people I have roomed with. Especially pogyo and paco, but spicy and keeto were also really chill, so nothing to complain there.
  34. I know I never talked too much, but I still really enjoyed my time. I just have so many feelings for this week, that it's hard for me to find words for this.
  35. I actually had to hold back tears at the end, because it was the most fun I have had in a while, and just to know that it's back to the old, boring life, without all my great friends to be around at all times, it was kinda heartbreaking. Also who knows if I will ever be able to afford it again. At this point I am not able to finance it. But who knows what the future will bring.
  36.
  37. TL;DR: The trips were a pain, but I enjoyed my week so much, that I am willing to do it again.
  38.
  39. Also HUGE shoutout to Dode and Beekay for making this trip possible. I am glad I got to experience this.
  40.
  41. Thanks for a great week my friends. I love you all.
