  1. >Be metahuman, shapeshifter specifically, you can transform yourself into most anything, though you are limited to things equal or less than your current mass
  2. >You're not a superhero though, it always seemed like too much trouble
  3. >That doesn't mean you're just going to sit idly by when something with too many arms and jaws goes tearing through the store on the edge of town you were shopping at though
  4. >True, you mostly intended to run away, not like you know how to fight after all, and even with your powers there's only so much you can do
  5. >Mostly distract it
  6. >So you did, while everyone else fled
  7. >Not your brightest idea, but at least you learned you can shapeshift away being ripped open
  8. >Multiple times
  9. >Learning the hard way you're probably invulnerable was ...less pleasant than you would hope
  10. >But at least you kept it distracted till a proper hero arrived
  11.
  12. >In a less eventful time you probably would have geeked out and embarrassed yourself
  13. >It was Wonder Woman
  14. >And you can say for certain now all the pics or videos you've seen did NOT do her beauty justice
  15. >You knew she had the physique of an amazon goddess, but God DAMN
  16. >Unfortunately that momentary distraction was enough for the monster to take your head off
  17. >Again
  18. >Focusing back on not getting torn to shreds, you fall back into a rhythm of trying, and mostly failing, to dodge, but you're at least getting better as the fight goes on
  19. >Though that could just be due to it's focus is being split between you and her now
  20. >In retrospect you suppose you could have just left at this point, let the professional handle it
  21. >But, at that point in the fight, escape wasn't really on your mind
  22. >Plus would you get any other chance to hang out with a superhero? Much less Wonder Woman?
  23. >Regardless, you didn't even question it when she orders you to come with her as she starts luring it out of town
  24.
  25. >The next half hour is a bit of a blurr, you remember running, twisting your body around into impossible shapes to dodge, and even lashing out with blades and spines occasionally, but mostly acting as distraction
  26. >The thing wasn't very smart, and it tended to focus on loud noises, like an idiot yelling in it's faces even though it just smashed him half a second before
  27. >Though you didn't quite realize how strong it was until after the fight
  28. >Sure, it could pretty much tear through you like wet tissue paper, that was a given
  29. >But you didn't expect it to be able to hurt Wonder Woman
  30. >Not that it managed to do too much damage, she had a few scrapes here and there, but for the most part she came out intact
  31. >Her armor though...
  32. >Well lets just say that when you took your eyes off the creature for the first time in what felt like two yours, the last thing you expected to see was Wonder Woman in all her bare chested glory, studying the beast to make sure it's really dead
  33.
  34. >You quickly avert your gaze, though you figure by this point the image has already been seared into your memory
  35. >Out of the corner of your eye you see her shake her head and turn to you
  36. >"Thanks for your help" she warmly says as she approaches, not a single ounce of shame in her voice, "Don't think I've met you before, useful powers, but little training, you new?"
  37. >At her question you look up, and very quickly force yourself to look her in the eyes as you try to get your brain to restart
  38. >It takes a second for you to find your voice, and even then your thoughts and words are still pretty scrambled
  39. >What you wanted to say was "Sorta, don't see myself as good superhero material though, I can change into things though. Also, sorry, didn't mean to looking, do you want my shirt to cover up?"
  40. >What you blurted out was "S-sorta, though, didn't see, I mean, didn't mean to look, I can change into things, shirts, I mean, I can shapeshift, do you want me to cover up? No, no, fuck! Do you want my shirt to cover up? Sorry, shutting up now..."
  41. >Wonder Woman just stares at you nonplussed as your heart sinks in your chest as you realize how badly you spilled your spaghetti
  42. >You're about to see if you can't just slink away and find a hole to die in when her lips start to twitch as she tries, and fails, to fight back a smile
  43.
  44. >"Well, that's not the strangest offer I've gotten since coming to the world of man" she comments, amusement dancing in her eyes, "First night nerves I take it? Don't worry"
  45. >She lightly chuckles as you nod in response, your gaze dipping low enough to catch another peek in the process as you suddenly realize how little distance there is between you two
  46. >"Your shirt will do fine I think" she adds as her laughter trail off, only for a teasing myrth to creep into her voice when she adds "Wondered how long you could keep your gaze up"
  47. >You're treated to another round of her melodious laughter as your eyes snap back up, your cheeks turn beet red, and you prepare to sputter out another apology
  48. >She stops you before you can get too far though, "Fret not, I don't mind looks of adoration" she reasures you, "On that note...., I your shirt, or what's left of it at least, looks a little too small for me, think you can change into something more my size?"
