  1. Job Description
  2. Students must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  3. Primary Purpose:
  4. This position is responsible for working within the framework of established security operating procedures and is accountable for the security administration for authentication and authorization Under close direction this employee is responsible for the managing terminations and training users on VPN access, sending out second authorization requests as well as processing the last login report. Other tasks include training new users on VPN access and adding printer to Print Servers.
  5. Key Responsibilities:

  7. 75%:
  8. · Perform security accounts administration functions for file MS Windows, Linux and HP
  9. · Provide support to assist in IS Customer Support Center and IT teams for printer configuration
  10. · Perform terminations
  11. · Process VPN requests and train end users
  12. · Process authorization requests
  13. 15%:
  14. · Participate on project teams as assigned and manage the completion of all assigned project related tasks
  15. 10%:
  16. · Perform other functions required to complete tasks such as monitoring, documentation and meetings
  17. Qualifications (Minimum education & experience level required):
  18. 1-2 years experience with PC’s, Windows ADS and some Linux is preferable.
  19. Working knowledge of Windows
  20. Working knowledge of Linux
  21. Strong customer service skills
  22.  
  23. Skill requirements (include complexity of position):
  24. This position requires analytical and technical ability to understand the managed care business and the ability to interact effectively with others. This position also requires a conceptual understanding of some security technologies pertinent to THP business and Information Systems. The ability to programmatically automate processes is desirable.
  25. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work and communicate effectively with management, peers, and the end-user community including IS. This requires the ability to maintain productive interpersonal relationships.

  29. Requires that the individual be well organized while being readily adaptable to changes in a fast paces technology environment. Must be able to work under close supervision while training and then function independently and exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills.

Will be exposed to and required to deal with highly confidential and sensitive material. All staff must adhere to corporate compliance policy, department guidelines/policies and all applicable laws and regulations at all times.

  34. Working Conditions or Additional requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel, overtime)
  35. Occasional travel to remote sites is required. Occasional weekend and nights may be required for non-intrusive completion of departmental projects or objectives.
