  1. Ever since I was a little boy I used to constantly annoy my parents and teachers with numerous questions about everything. I was so fascinated with the complexity and sophistication of the world I could not help but try to find and explanation for everything that caught my attention. I suppose every child feels the same way within them. Then one day I started asking myself - Why do we want to know? Where do thoughts come from? What is intelligence? Up to that moment this has been the greatest mystery in my eyes and I have decided to dedicate my life to unveiling it!

  3. I feel intuitively that in order to find that out I must try to create artificial intelligence and thereupon implement it in society and thus give my contribution to it. Furthermore, I believe studying that absolutely marvelous organ we have within our heads is the key to it for the brain certainly seems to give rise to intelligence in some way, which is precisely the reason I have chosen Tilburg University’s Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence Bachelor’s programme – the combination of the two subparts is needed to help me find what I seek.

  5. AI is undoubtedly going to change society as we know it. Hopefully, it will make our lives more convenient and be the point at which the next technological and social breakthrough occur. I feel great eagerness to be a part of it. Moreover, I believe exploring the brain and the way we operate is both remarkably beneficial for us and imperative – for we have no other certain model of intellect. Ergo, getting into subjects such as philosophy, psychology, language processing and so on not only does it appear to me as extremely fun and utterly captivating but also essential.

  7. There are other reasons I believe Netherlands should be the country in which I pursue my goal. The main one being of all the countries throughout Europe I have visited – The Netherlands appears to me to be the most energetic and open-minded. I felt it being so lively and full of young determined and critical thinking people having great potential. And Tilburg as an international student’s city definitely makes no exception. I firmly believe such environment in which people share your enthusiasm is unquestionably crucial for success.

  9. The biggest assets of mine, with which I could help the whole team, I reckon are problem solving and idea generating. On that basis I took up programming recently and I can but vaguely see already how AI could work and the unlimited possibilities it can offer.

  11. Artificial intelligence is admittedly the next leap in humanity’s unceasing progress. I passionately look forward to collaborating in this field.
