'Sup, doods.

I am not looking forward to this week. I am staring at the local weather forecast for Tuesday. I see snow starting in the morning and going nonstop ALL DAY. Everyone is expecting anywhere from 6-12 inches. The last time snow accumulated to even a fraction of that, I had to pay $170 to get towed out of it. I can see snow as I look out the window right now! It's gotten hard from the below freezing weather and it's going to continue to stay frozen—and I'm probably going to get eight inches of white stuff plopped on top of that. You might as well bury me in it with how much I'm expected to get. I hope I can get away with working from home that afternoon.

As far as things I am looking forward to goes, doods, the tutorial scripts are almost complete. I have some research to do this weekend to fill in a few gaps. As soon as that's done, I will finally be ready to put the series into video production! (It only took two years.) I have a lot of gameplay to film and a lot of uncertainty on when I will have time to film. Any time I do get to film I would like to make as a member's only perk for the YouTube Sardines.

Behind the scenes extras are usually a thing that people pay for, right? I haven't had the time or the reason to do many behind the scenes things, but I'm coming up with things that I could be doing in the background on a stream of some kind. The stream backend revamp could be a thing I find weekends to work on. The tournament backend could be redone on members only streams, as well. I usually get more things done when I stream them so I should be more open to streaming them. Oddly enough, this major tournament is giving me some room to do just that.

Something else this major tournament is giving me room to do, doods, is train more. It's clear that I need it to have a chance to win TA2025 after the end of Saturday's performance. I did fine, but bfin did so much better when he needed it most. I swear, I keep telling myself that I need to focus on taking care of myself so that I will be better in more of my runs, but I'm losing time in vices before I even know it. I'm going to focus on sleep and exercise this week so that I can get in the best headspace to research and prepare for next month's tournament.

Now if you'll excuse me, doods, my hard drive is getting full again.


Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #1: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. Creative writing is not my strong suit. I'm close to starting video production.
Goal #2: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts. I have come to realize that if I am going to make my target date, I need to put this above everything else because I don't have as much time or motivation during the week as I thought I would.
Goal #3: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process, though I'm not currently motivated to stream any other part of it at the moment. Next major objective is to make alerts. I have stream reaction clips to put in. Emotes, one or two alternate overlay themes, and alternate timer themes would come soon after. As soon as I think of things to put in, I will add them to the list.
Goal #4: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming. I may put them on a separate channel.
Goal #5: edit personal best videos in Tetris Attack Easy – V-Hard (post commentary recorded) and Normal (post commentary recorded)—and everything I did in Pokemon Puzzle Week—and that S-Hard PB—and that V-Hard WR—and that Easy – S-Hard WR—and that TA Easy PB—and another Easy – V-Hard PB. Standalone archival videos are already attached to my speedrun profile. I'm hoping to make eye-catching productions from each speedrun. I'm considering it to be my personal test to be a YouTuber. I am failing miserably right now.
Goal #6: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for every game we might play. Until someone volunteers to help broadcast the matches in my stead, this is not actually a top priority. I feel like making this happen will encourage others to help out, not the other way around. There has been virtually no interest so far.
