What I did with Evernote was to sign up for a free account,
then I Installed Nixnote2 on my POP_OS 21.04 Linux System
(using Synaptic) to sync with my Evernote Account. I rarely
use Windows - but there is a link for a Windows notebook
for syncing on the Evernote Page. I Webgrabed a bunch of
pages on my Brave Browser and they synced to my Nixnote2
Noteboook. I then EXPORTED EVERYTHING to nnex <XML-file>
and EXPORTED EVERYTHING to pdf <PDF-file> and transferred
them to my gdrive for safe keeping and shareing. The nnex
file can reload to my Nixnote2 notebook later after I TRASH
all my Evernet Webnotes with my browser. This clears my
Nixnote2 notebook after it syncs. Now I can IMPORT my nnex
file  back into my notebook - but it DOES NOT SYNC back
to Evernote. Now if I Webgrab to Evernote THOSE FILES sync
up on top of my Nixnote2 notebook. I can EXPORT as many
times as I want (doing the above sequence) and store my
files on gdrive for free. Evernote would charge me $5 a
month to do the same thing. I can convert my PDF files to
html with pdftohtml (https://tinyurl.com/yjjflxe4) and share
them from gdrive. This way Evernote is just an easy way to
grab web pages - and it will always remain free. I can search
and index  my pdf or html files with nixnote2 or gdrive and
I will always have them.
