Old Earth

I take 2 papers created simultaneously and stack them. You say "the lowest is oldest." More complexity can't make you right.

If the universe were infinitely old, the odds of being at a specific "happy moment" are infinitely unlikely.

If the entire world was C14, it would all be gone in < a million years - still finding it in fossils we dig up

the increasing amount of soft tissues & stuff found in fossils that we empirically know from lab experiments can't survive for millions of years.

Polystrate fossils

Argonne National Laboratory Illinois by Hayatsu and colleagues in 1984, demonstrated rapid coal formation under simulated natural conditions: made simple coals by heating lignin to about 150 degrees Celsius in presence of montmorillonite or illite (clay minerals) which acted as catalysts in periods from 2 weeks to nearly a year; pertinent that they found acidic volcanic clays sped up the process a lot, because such clays are often associated with coal seams.
