  3. Good morning! I have been nominated for the Banner feature this week for my Easy Beignets! I was just inquiring today if you meant beignets too? Do you know anything about my beignets? Well, I moved back to the east coast and had been looking high and low for crispy beignets but my cousin sent them to me. I wanted to feature a favorite breakfast dish of hers so I decided to make these easy beignets.
  4. My grandmother used to make beignets all the time. Of course we ate them every morning as a breakfast bite for she loved our morning meals. Homemade beignets are a little different from store bought beignets and not really dried which they go to great lengths to try to preserve you know to many. We never purchase they beignets at the grocery store to us they just don't make nearly as good as they baked directly on the stove can make them at home. These beignets was super easy and you could even add your favorite flavors of rum or Kahlua lol. After making them you don't really miss the store bought luxury.
  5. I decided to change the traditional yeast bread of being sweet. Pastry dough seemed much easier for me to work with but I have read it was best to let the dough sit before frying. I made sure to let it sit in the fridge during the night so there was plenty of time to fry the dough. This time I made an apple sauce to dip the beignets in, I used her recipe that is always served on New Years. We like to dip chocolate chips before eating them and stick orders with our loved ones. Before eating them try dipping them into your sauce from apple to chocolate. Let me know which I try next. Enjoy Day bright and Beautiful, Melissa
