  21. That's why SSH should always be firewalled off, not just port changed, so that even if they have the password some how they still can't get in. (though if they have the password, perhaps they are already in by other means and so doesn't matter)

  41. Well, I took telnet and being servers to actually mean SSH as have seen less knowledgeable people refer to SSH as telnet. Post still stands true for telnet or any other remote management / access -- including and especially RDP on windows.
  42. This is a list of appliances so routers, switches, cameras... things like that. It really is just plain old "telnet", often with default credentials.
