  1. Continent:
  2.
  3. The continent of Ikumbo is large but mostly lacking in advanced civilization. Most of the mainland, known as Ikumbo Matatta, lacks such races as dwarves and elves and its humans are very simple people that eek together a much more tribal living. Only in the western islands, known as the Ogando Chain, and the eastern peninsula known as Zimbaya can civilization be seen. Towns of a peculiar dwarf race known as the Canyon Dwarf dot the canyons of Zimbaya while a large city of humans known as the Carinians dominates the lesser towns and villages of
  4. on the Ogando Chain. Southeastern Ikumbo, known as Maka, is mainly dominated by vast swampland, inhabited by primitive, village-dwelling, humans, bullywugs, and the xenophobic Ghosttouched Halflings.
  5.
  6. Races:
  7.
  8. Humans: The mainland humans of Ikumbo are simple tribal folk that do their best to hold their lands among the tribes of Loxo, Gazellean, and Leonid that also make their homes here. Meanwhile, the humans on the Ogando Chain are much more advanced, building a huge city that possibly rivals even those in the Mestarshan Plains and Dalvus, though it cruelly rules over the more primitive races of the Ogando.
  9.
  10. Canyon Dwarf: The Canyon Dwarf are a mysterious and isolated group of dwarves that rarely feel the need to open up to the much more primitive mainland peoples and only hold an unsteady alliance with the city of Carinia out of necessity, as it is their only useful trade partner and Carinia would likely conquer Zimbaya if they refused trade anyway. Canyon dwarves dislike living in the underdark and prefer to be see the sun, which they revere as a god.
  11.
  12. Ghosttouched Halfling: The Ghosttouched are a xenophobic race of only slightly above primitive halflings that fiercely guard their swampy lands of Maka, constantly at war with the monstrous races such as the bullywugs and even the encroaching human tribes from the north. A Ghosttouched halfling gets its name from the chalky white warpaint they use to cover their bodies before combat, mistakingly thought of as something the halflings don at all times due to the fact that usually the only Ghosttouched that another race sees is a warrior.
  13.
  14. Loxo: The loxo are a large, elephant-like humanoid that form loose nomadic tribes on Ikumbo Matatta.
  15.
  16. Gazellean: Gazellean are a gazelle-like humanoid race which are strange in that they, despite their tribal ways, have surprisingly advanced agricultural capabilities, able to produce a steady flow of crops to keep their tiny villages healthy. The Gazelleans are bitter enemies to the more savage Leonid. Based chiefly in Ikumbo Matatta.
  17.
  18. Leonid: The Leonid (a lion based humanoid race) are, without a doubt, the fiercest combatants of Ikumbo, and their elite warriors could easily go toe-to-toe with the best warriors from around the world. The only thing that keeps the Leonids from conquering all of Ikumbo is their smaller population and difficulty reproducing. They are bitter enemies to the Gazellean, who they consistently raid and devour, but despite their far superior strength the Gazellean often use quick and easy traps to ward away Leonids, who are too fearful of losing more than a few of their warriors. Based in Ikumbo Matatta.
  19.
  20. Thri-Kreen: The Thri-Kreen of Ikumbo are much like the Thri-Kreen of the Droughtlands in every way. So much so it is hypothesized that somehow the Thri-Kreen from Ikumbo found their way to the Droughtlands in ages past, despite their lack of technology and the only recent discovery of Ikumbo for the Cradle. Based on the Ogando Chain and Zimbaya, living at the edges of the more advanced nations' territory.
