  1. 1. Xenoverse 2
  2. In my opinion, this is the best anime game ever made, and it's the best Dragon Ball Z game ever made. Excluding the downtime (really long loading screens) this game is mostly perfect. This is probably the only Dragon Ball game that I've played which has made me feel like I was actually in the show. I can jump into a parallel quest and have Krillin fight Frieza on Namek. Heck, I can even create my own character, or, now thanks to the latest DLC, customise an existing character (limited only to characters which are mentors in the game, so you can customise Goku and Cooler, but you cannot customise Champa).
  3. Even though the main focus of this game is creating your own custom character and going through time, I tend to not do that. I mean, I completed the game and everything, but I mostly just jump into parallel quests, and pick any random character that I want. The best part of this game is the combat, and the combos you can do. You can seemlessly go from one combo to another, some characters having more ways of doing this (i.e. Hit and Tien) whilst others are more limited (i.e. Krillin and Cell Jr.) I can knock someone away with Goku's 5 light and 3 heavy combo, and instead of finishing it, I stop at the first heavy, and dash towards my opponent, then hit them with a strike, resetting the combo, and letting me do a completely different combo. This technically can lead to a lot of infinite combos, but it's great for being flashy, which is something that I love.
  4. Overall, this is a game I can jump into whenever I want and have fun, regardless of the loading screens.
  5. I should also note that I've beaten this game at least 10 times, and I'm not exaggerating.
  6.
  7. 2. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
  8. Best Kart Racer ever made in my opinion, second is Double Dash. Controversial opinion, I know, mainly because no one played this game, but this game is very solid. It has that Burning Rangers theme, and it has the ability to flip through the tracks, making this game honestly one of the highest skill cap kart racers that I've ever played. Kart racers are mostly about getting drift boosts, and good rng on the item boxes, but most items in this game, despite being useful, aren't as powerful (or as useless) as their variations in the Mario Kart games, which is something that I like. For example, the swarm is the replacement of the blue shell, but instead of getting a mostly guaranteed hit on the person in first place it spawns wasps which block your path, meaning they can simply be dodged.
  9. The tracks are also lovely, like Burning Depths, the drift track, and Adder's Lair, which has you racing on lava. Your kart can also transform, into a plane, boat, and a kart. The plane is the fastest, but hardest to control, and a modified drift. It also has the ability to roll whenever, and if you roll before hitting something you get a risk boost, giving you a short burst of speed. Boats aren't as fast as planes, and are rather hard to control, because whether you turn smoothly or not depends on the water you're on. A wave can form on the water, which gives you a little air, which can allow you to flip, but not always, sometimes it's a fake. I don't want to get too into the mechanics of the game, so let's just move on to the last one, karts. Karts are rather simple to control since it's not thrown around like boats, and they aren't as fast as planes. They're rather easy to control compared to the other two, the kart is more responsive as compared to the boat for example.
  10. Overall, this is one of the best racing games that I've ever played. I don't want to talk more about it, because I'd start talking about the mechanics of the game, and I don't want to spend too long on this list. This game also has incredibly short loading screens, and I still find people playing online to this day. It's 2018 guys, and this game came out in 2012.
  11.
  12. 3. Sonic Generations
  13. Believe it or not, I like Sonic games. Sonic games are probably some of the best games that I've ever played. There are not many games where I can simply just play, get into a game quickly, and just have fun. Fortnite is popular for that reason in my opinion, but this one's guaranteed fun (offline games tend to be guaranteed fun, which is why there isn't many online games on this list). Sonic Generations has some of the best level design in any 3D Sonic game. It competes with Unleashed in my opinion, even though I think Unleashed's level design is better, but it's still pretty good.
  14. This game has Speed Highway guys, Speed Freaking Highway Act 2. When you start off that stage you have 3 options: you can jump up to the rail and pick up a red star ring, you can jump onto the helicopter if you're fast enough, or you can just go down. The level's just over the top from there, running on the side of buildings, running down buildings to escape the police, and outrunning cars. I went into this game because I wanted to play Rooftop Run (yes, I spent money on a game because I wanted to play 1 stage) and this one ended up being my favourite.
  15. It also has the Silver boss battle, which is one of the best boss battles in a Sonic game.
  16.
  17. 4. Sonic Unleashed
  18. I actually liked the warehog. Everyone hates it because the stages were long, and slow, but it didn't bother me. It made sense. I played this game as a kid, and even now that I know why people hate this game, it sitll doesn't bother me. People say that people like this game because it has a level select, but I disagree. I had this game on the Xbox 360, and when I completed it I deleted my save, and completed it again. The only other game I did this with at the time was Forza 3 (and at the time of writing this list Forza 3's not on my list for some reason, despite it being an extremely solid racing game) because the game got too easy but I did it with this game because I loved the stages.
  19. So, we have boost gameplay Sonic who runs extremely fast, and warehog Sonic who's really slow, and plays the game as a beat-em-up and more as a platformer. People say that Sonic Unleashed is boost to win, but I disagree, and I have one stage to prove it: Eggmanland. Eggmanland was a stage at the end of the game which had you switching between the two forms, which was great, and it was one of the better stages in the game (they were all pretty solid, but some stood out like Rooftop Run and Dragon Road). Boost Sonic dropped spin dashing for the ability to run really fast and go through enemies, which is a little overpowered. There was one stage, and only one stage where you could simply run through the whole stage using boost and you wouldn't get hit once, but it was literally the second stage in the game, and the first one was a tutorial. It also had some pretty cool boss battles, and it let you beat up Eggman.
  20. Despite a lot of people hating Sonic, I love Sonic because he just works. The games aren't necessarily great, but they work if you like that type of game, which is why Sonic has a lot of fans in my opinion. I like to think of them as adventure racing games, where your goal is to beat the stage and the game in the shortest amount of time as possible, whilst still having you run through a beautiful scenary, with split paths if you want to take them, and simple mechanics which can help you beat that stage faster. There's just something about Sonic, and it's hard to put it in words. It just works. Sega somehow made this and despite the negative reception it just works. As long as Sega remembers what Sonic is about, Sonic will always be around. Sonic Forces is technically them forgetting what Sonic is about. Sonic was tortured in space btw, and they said he was dead btw. Kids play that game.
  21.
  22. 5. Borderlands 2
  23. This game was rediculous. There are not many games that make me laugh, but this one did, multiple times. There were simple things in this game that made me laugh too (i.e. the Handsome Jack clone which tried to convince you that he was the real Handsome Jack) and the gameplay is solid. It's a game where I can just jump in with Salvador and gun people down. I can play as a bandit and throw buzz axes at people as Kreig. This game was also the first game I brought DLC for.
  24. One memory I have of this game was the first boss battle. I don't know if it's intentional, but I got a legendary after the very first boss, so I had a legendary pistol. I didn't know it was a legendary at the time, since I didn't research the game much, and I didn't play the first one, so I was wondering as I was going through the game why my level 1 pistol was better than my level 2 and level 3 and probably even level 4 guns as I was going through the game. I discovered soon a couple days later that I actually had a legendary, which is why it was so strong, and I knew what was coming when I started to pick up guns like the Bitch.
  25. The Gunzerker is the best character.
  26. I should also note that I've beat this game multiple times. It was also the first game where I knew that I spent more than 24 hours playing it, but I didn't feel too bad about doing it.
  27.
  28. 6. Mario Kart Double Dash
  29. Fun kart racing game. I played this when I was a kid. I mainly remember having a rediculous amount of fun playing this game. I remmeber that I used to always pick Baby Mario and Baby Luigi because I loved their quotes when switching between them. It was "Baby Mario!" and "Uh oh! Baby Luigi time!" I remember it off of the top of my head, so I don't even have to Google it. This game is engrained in my mind guys. I don't remember necessarily being good at it, but I remember having a lot of fun with it.
  30. I honestly don't have much to talk about, but I still remember this game being my favourite Gamecube game. Well, this, and Wrestlemania X7 I think it was called.
  31.
  32. 7. Burnout Paradise (I also had Burnout 3: Takedown, but Paradise was more memorable)
  33. Guys, they brought Burnout, close to Burnout 3: Takedown gameplay, and they made it open world. Guys. I'm sending people flying, sending them off of the road in my tuner car. Guys. I'm racing, but there's no designated checkpoints. I get to finish the race in ANY WAY THAT I WANT (which is technically a bad thing and a good thing. It's a bad thing because Burnout is about takedowns, so if you take a different path you won't see as many cars, but a good thing due to the freedom). Guys. This is probably one of the most perfect arcade racers that I've ever played. It's just over the top. No story or anything, just gameplay. A pretty much perfect arcade racer, like Burnout 3: Takedown.
  34. It was also the first racing game that did the online correctly, and pretty much every racing game after it has copied it. I'm talking about the freeroaming of course. Burnout 3: Takedown could also have taken this spot, or had its own spot, but look at the Sonic games above. If I had more unique things to say then I probably would have done it, but I wanted to give you a variety, so you know what kind of games I like.
  35.
  36. 8. Need for Speed: Most Wanted
  37. I'm talking about the first most wanted. The second most wanted was good, it was pure gameplay, which is always great, but this one's memorable because of the BMW. This one had the best cop chases in the series, a great list of cars (even though you'd probably just pick one and stick with that one and buy junkman parts) and it had some great customisation. It had a simple story that even kids could understand too. I remember trying to tell kids in school about this game, but I think they thought I was gay when I started to talk about pink slips, because, you know, PINK slips?
  38. This game was also rather over the top too, like Burnout Paradise, it also had freeroaming (even though it was first introduced in Underground 2 because people criticised Underground 1 for having similar looking tracks) and you could get cop chases whilst you were freeroaming. I remember trying to hide between traffic cars to stay away from the cops when I was younger, but the traffic lights were red, and I was impatient. Didn't want a cop chase, so I had to swiftly get away if I wanted to start the next race.
  39. You know, at this point, I've realised how unnecessary these descriptions are. I don't think this is what you meant when you told me to say why I liked the games. I'm still going to do them, of course. I'm on the 8th game, I'm not stopping now lmao.
  40.
  41. 9. Halo 3
  42. Halo 3 is the best one. Every Halo game is good (even 5 is technically good because a lot of games are bad but it was still a solid shooter. It just wasn't a true Halo game) but this one is the best. It had the best online and the best campaign. It even had that mission where everything was exploding, so you had to drive swiftly with a warthog to escape. It even had you playing Co-op with the Arbiter, but I didn't actually know who he was on my first play through, since this was my first Halo game, but still. Even though Halo 3 was my first Halo game, it's the best one. I went back to play the other ones thanks to the Master Chief Collection, and I still think Halo 3 is the best. It has the best online, and the best campaign.
  43. Halo 2 is the worst one in my opinion, out of the classic ones of course. Halo 4 and 5 don't count, only 1, 2, 3, ODST, and Reach do. Halo 2 is the worst because the legendary mode is terrible, honestly. Play the Gravemind mission. That mission proves my point. The first time I played it, I died. I don't know what happened. The screen faded in from from black, and I was dead. I didn't see myself die, I just died.
  44.
  45. 10. Midnight Club 3
  46. I actually can't decide whether this game is better than Need for Speed Most Wanted or not. I genuinely can't pick which racer I like the most out of them, so I just decided that it was a tie. Midnight Club had a more rediculous sense of speed, but NFS had better cop chases. Midnight Club had more cars, whilst NFS had better graphics. Midnight Club had SUVs and Bikes whilst NFS had a better story. For literally every downside of one game, there was a positive. There was something in each game which gave you a reason to play it over the other, and for that reason, I can't decide which one's better.
  47. Anyway, this game was a rather solid racer. There was slipstreaming, which allowed you to slingshot past the car in front of you if you stayed behind them long enough, and a simple nitros, which was limited, unlike in NFS where it came back over time. I actually didn't like the nitros being limited, even though I didn't mind it in Prostreet. I don't remember there being drifing in this game, but I don't think there was. I remember that this game used to throw a REDICULOUS amount of traffic at you, and it had you flying through the sky, especially closer to the end of the game.
  48.
  49. Honorable Mentions:
  50. League of Legends Season 5-6
  51. Golden age of League of Legends. I still play the game from time to time, but it's not as great as before. Season 5 was great, and Season 6 was the first time I tried ranked, and began climbing. I got from bronze to gold until I had to stop playing because a Windows 10 bug caused my pc to constantly crash, so I was just losing LP in Gold 3. I have never played League of Legends as much ever since.
  52. Season 5 had the Bilgewater event guys.
  53.
  54. Overwatch
  55. Genji is kinda cool. So is Ana.
  56.
  57. Sonic 3 (I really like Sonic, okay)
  58. I really like Sonic, guys. One big reason behind this being in my honorable mentions and not in the top 10 is because almost all classic Sonic games are cheap. Because Sonic runs fast, you can jump into spikes, or jump into enemies that you couldn't see, and you simply cannot do anything about it, apart from remember the map. You can take it slow, but then the game isn't as fast, so it isn't as fun. If you go fast, you'll get punished if you don't understand the stage. So for a lot of stages I'm forced to go slow, unless I play the game a lot which I don't have the time to do.
  59. I also haven't played Mania, mainly because one of the bosses triggers one of my phobias, so there's no point in playing the game if I know that I'm going to close the game when I get to that boss.
  60.
  61. WWE 2K18
  62. I had Goku vs Broly as the main event once, and Vegeta interferred to help Broly win. The best wrestling game that I've played is probably HCTP, but I've had the most fun with this game due to how rediculous the creation suite is.
  63.
  64. Forza 3
  65. Forza gets better every 2 years, so this is basically the one I have the most fond memories of.
  66.
  67. Daytona USA
  68. This is actually a solid racer. Hear me out guys, this is actually a godlike racing game, I swear. I play this game from time to time because I love hearing "DAYTONA! Daytona! Let's go away!" but the gameplay is pretty solid. The XBLA version lets you adjust settings, i.e. having more laps, and adding tire wear. Only problem with this game is that it only has 3 tracks, and 2 cars.
  69.
  70. Kingdom Hearts 2
  71. This game is literally anime, and I like anime. It also has you dying in one hit.
  72.
  73. I don't think I explained some of these games well, and well I didn't read back over the list. Tell me if anything is unclear to you guys.
