[19:26] Kamei took the note, reading ti quickly as her calm smile turned into a frown fairly quickly. Her head nodded once as she motioned towards the area deeper into the woods, towards the temple and the clinic within.

"Come on then, let's get ya inside." Blue eyes looked towards the younger, nodding her head. "As long as ya keep up gettin there."

[19:33] Removing his mask and hood for once because it would be necessary, the glutton lays down on the bed quietly. No care about this being the first time people he wasn't exactly close with would see his face.

As soon as the hood was removed, the one thing that wound stand out about the Lapine's features was na ugly scar that went on the diagonal through his face, runniny right across his left eye and nose, it was a miracle he was not blind of one eye.

Still, that was a treated injury. So with a pencil and small piece of paper, he shows it to Kamei.

'Already know injury?'

He remembers that quite a lot of people knew what it was since many watched.

[19:38] Kamei tilted her head as she waited for him to remove the mask and hook, taking note of the rather prominate scar that ran across his face. There wasn't much of a reaction aside from a soft 'tsk' as she mentally berated whoever had done such a stitching job.

"I unfortunately got dragged away from the crowd, so I didn't see what happened. Just better ta get a timeline ta know what natural healin I gotta work against, ya know?"

[19:42] With a nod of his head, he simply put a few materials on the side that he thought Kamei could use to make him the necessary prosthetic.

Afterwards? The Hecate wrote on his piece of paper once more.

'No tongue.'

And with that, he opened his mouth, nothing inside.

His tongue was burned at the root. The whole thing having been cut out of his mouth. Forcing him to be the monster he is. No speaking for the damnable helspawn.

[19:44] There was a slight shock when the boy saw the tongue burned completely off, He understood a little bit more now about why the man communicated through scribbles.

While it was a grizzly sight to see he could only wonder what sort of foe would go so far as to mutilate someone in such a horrid manner. Is that truly what it was like on the outside? The boy shivered a little bit before getting his nerves to calm down.

He'd stayed focused on Kamei wondering how she would approach this situation to fix this grizzly wound.

[19:46] The white haired kitsune was patient as she watched him take out the materials needed for a trauma kit, her tail swaying a little slower as she realized the injury she couldn't see was likely worse than she thought originally.

Reading the paper, her ears shifted back a little, her expression softening as she leaned forward to get a look as he opened his mouth.

"Oh dear... Well.... I'll do what I can fer ya. Can ya say 'ahhh' fer me? Just ta make sure your vocal cords are all workin okay?" Turning to grab the materials, she'd move to quickly get what she needed set up after he did so.

[19:55] After seeing the items which he thought were necessary for an arcanium kit, the Lapne does as he's told and opens his mouth as much as he can so that Kamei can see his vocal cords.

His vocal cords themselves didn't appear to be damaged, surprisingly despite the fact that he suffered from a hand coated in poison that did the damage to his tongue.

Beyond that, all he can do is hold in there so that the pain doesn't cause him to flinch or such during the procedure.

[19:57] Kamei hummed gently as she saw that at least his voice wouldn't be effected if she'd be able to set up an artificial tongue for the other. Not easy itself, but possible at least. "I'mma have ta put ya ta sleep fer this, it's a little too difficult to make it a localized painkiller, alright?"

Despite being uncomfortable with being knocked out, on the other hand, he also thought that Omen wouldn't send him to someone just to get scammed, they said it themselves, he's needed for their expedition, and risking problems with medical treatment is the last thing they would risk specially if he was needed at 100%. He trusted that if Omen wanted to do anything, he would do it head on.

[20:02] Balam wasn't that caught up on his medical jargon but he figured the man would have to undergo intense surgery if the wound was that considerably bad but for whatever reason he had hope in the Chieftain's wife.

He could tell from her minimal reactions and quick judgement she'd seen many of grievous wounds and was able to take care of them with relative ease had she'd been given the right tools to do so. Which it seemed like she has.

Balam moved in curiously to watch what the doctor did after the man gave his consent to be put under.

[20:08] The white haired kitsune offered him a soft smile, before moving towards the rather filed cabinet. Her frame shifted to the side so that the younger would have room to look beside her if he followed behind.

"Normally... ya'd use one of these in the area around injuries...." She pointed to a bottle of clear liquid with a rather clear label on the front. A local anesthetic. "People in the tribes don' often like ta be put out.... stubborn people they are." She murmured the final as she picked up the sedatives, taking them along with a few different items back to Liraz's bedside.

"But if a patient gives ya a hard time.... knock em out. The last mender that ran the clinic liked ta use a club.... I use this."

Fingers pulled some of the liquid into the syringe, measuring carefully as she looked at the man on the bed with a reassuring smile. "Ya might be a bit sore when ya wake up, but yer in good hands dear."

Should he make no further motions towards her, she'd roll his sleeve up far enough to get to his elbow, before pressing the sharp tip of the needle through the skin into the vein beneath.

[20:13] The Ookami took interest in the filled cabinet but he would also listen to the words of those wiser than him, Putting people to sleep seemed necessary if the chance of them moving was far too high and ruining the procedure.

"Using a club on an injured person.... seems a bit extreme." But he could understand many of the tribesmen were stubborn his farther being a prime a example...

Although falling victim to your own injuries isn't a good way to kick the bucket and he could be sure the spirits didn't approved. He took note of how much of the sedative was filled into the needle before she injected into Liraz' veins making sure he'd remember the best spot to inject as well.

It was a lot of information to take in but Balam took things slow and merely followed along best he could. "Is that the recommended amount to put down a full grown Magi?" He asked wondering if they wouldn't be some what resistant to the effects of the sedative after a while.

[20:20] Kamei nodded her head gently at the question as she allowed some time for the sedative to take effect, humming a soft tune as she capped the bottle once more, putting the needle away.

"This is fer magi in particular. It'd stop a non-magi's heart fairly quick. They have their own clinic ta use typically, so most of what I stock is good fer use on the fighters."

Carefully, the woman began rummaging through the kit, starting to piece together orchilacum wires, along with small pieces of arcanium. White tail flicked behind her as she started to make the pieces into something resembling a tongue. Her mana pulsing a couple of times to cement the circuitry into place.

"I do suggest playin with a kit er two ta get used to making adjustments. Most are set up fer arms and legs, but ya can typically get an artificer ta make em special fer ya." There was a bit of a skipped comment about her being an artificer herself, focusing on making sure the tongue would work as it was supposed to.

[20:25] He'd heard more or less prosthetics were capable of being shaped depending on the injury but it was quite a sight to see a fully metal tongue be stitched into the mans head as if it were brand new.

"I suppose I should then, It seems getting used to prosthetics is a necessary step in becoming a better medic." After all there would be no end to the amount of maiming there was especially for those who risked their lives on the battle field. He envisioned even one day he'd be dragged in her battered and broken.

But today wasn't that day...he refocused himself to watching the tubes and connections being made, How Kamei used her mana to cement the Mythril and Arcanium and how they interlaced with the brand new organ being placed into the mains head.

[20:32] Kamei held the tongue in her hands, turning it this way and that as she made final adjustment with a small tool as he spoke. "Yeah.... There's often quite a few ta take care of. Lot of the younger generation are gettin out and about recently.... Between Tai, Omen and Hamako over there...."

Happy with the device, she'd move forward to open the man's jaw carefully, water drifting over from the fountain as it began to glow. Shimmering softly, it'd give her a little light to see by. "It'll be hard fer ya ta see... but first we gotta cut away remaining burnt skin, but not cut too deep. That's really the hardest part of this..."

Her voice trailed off as she did as she spoke of, a scalpel cutting away any burnt skin as the water gently coated the area. It would keep blood from going down his windpipe as well as cleansing any remaining poison from the magi that created it.

"Then... it's just a matter of connecting the nerves and mana circuits.... I'm gonna use my blood magi since it's tight quarters and I can get very precise with it...."

Tongue placed at the top of his mouth, she'd begin the work of connecting everything along the bottom of the appendage. Her mana pulsing to move the blood that had seeped out from the cuts to pull the wires into place before clotting to stop the flow.

[20:37] He'd have to focus on looking without disrubting her work although he was a bit to short he grabbed a stool and stood on it to ponder over her as she did her work.

Connecting the mana circuits along with the nervous system was grueling work although Kamei's blood magic seemed to fill in the gaps where she lacked along for a more fluid transition.

The Ookami didn't have many questions at the very moment so he reserved himself. Although his interest was more so on the work of articfering that was capable of being adjusted to nearly any injury which was impressive on its own.

[20:43] Kamei would give a small sigh as she pulled her hands out of the man's mouth, allowing it to close before more water was pulled from the fountain, glowing a little brighter as it would seep into the man's hands and at the other's head as well, slowly absorbing into the skin.

"whatever yer magi, there's typically some use fer it in mending. Like now, I'm usin wellspring ta cleanse the remaining sedative from his system. It'll help keep him from being drowsy when he wakes up."

Her tail swayed a bit easier as she waited for the other to wake up.

[20:49] Having been mostly trained to be a magi that fights on the battle field it was interesting to see how magi who used their abilities to mend worked as well.

"I see so you're flooding his system with water targeting only the sedative? That's really impressive magic control..." It would take not only direct knowledge of the body but an immense knowledge of once own given specialty. It made the young Ookami thing of ways he could use his abilities to heal others when they needed it.

Many in the tribe would rely on him in time not only as a mender but as a warrior as well. A role that Balam was eager to fufill. The treatment being mostly complete the boy looked towards the doctor who seemed to do this almost effortlessly.

"you're skills are amazing miss Kamei! I've never seen someone use magic to heal another person so easily like that!" He grinned showing the sharpened wolf like canines within his mouth

[20:53] Having a new arcanium prosthetic placed upon his mouth, in the place of it's former tongue.

Waking up after a while, the Lapine brings his body upwards while placing his hand on their forehead and sighing. With his body still somewhat numb, and now sore, it took them a moment to take note of the thing inside his mouth.

"Ahh..." Opening his mouth, he brings a hand to poke the metallic tongue. In a sense it felt more natural than a flesh tongue, but at the same time, it would never be... his sense of taste was still gone.

He tries to speak, but he can't quite yet, incoherent noises coming as it would take him a bit to get used to controlling his new tongue. Still, he looks towards Kamei and gives her a nod. The metallic pencil and small notebook floating in front of him to write. 'What do I owe?'

Meanwhile, he continues to make noises trying to get used to this, ignoring the soreness through his body.

[20:58] Kamei gave a soft sigh as she rolled her shoulders, beginning to put everything away, packing up the remaining wries and pieces of the kit as he spoke. "It's been my focus fer… twenty some odd years ta be honest. I've had more than a bit of practice." She offered a soft smile as she glanced towards their patient waking up once more, letting him focus on where he was once more.

"Mornin Liraz. Try not ta use it too much fer a day or so, let the metal and muscles heal together a little." The words were soft as she explained what he had to look forward to. "And it'll be a little odd fer a few days after, but you'll get used ta it."

Blue eyes turning towards the notebook, she'd tilt her head with a small shrug. "Only took a little more mithril and orchilacum ta be honest. Enough fer yer circuitry."

[21:03] Hearing now that he should let it heal for a few days, he stops making noises and instead writes again on the paper. 'Will get it later.'

He thinks he still has some mythril and orichalcum on his stall. Afterwards, he then gets up and follow after her, curious about the treatment if Hamako though not that much.

[21:07] Seems to be shot by that thunder was made to pierce through the Beastkin in a manner all too brutal- as much as she could dodge through the light and shimmer with its power, in the end, she could not come out victorious - the electricity surging through her body left her weakened, her flesh seared and her nerves frail... Seeming to have her arm being very limp at this point...

[21:12] The kitsune gently took the girl's arm into her hands, pulling the fabric away that covered it to get a better look. She shook her head with a soft 'tsk' noise, glancing up at her face as she spoke. "Thought ya were supposed ta keep out of trouble, hmmm?"

Lips turned up in a more playful manner, before resting her arm down once more before turning to grab a jar from the cabinet as well as some bandages. Returning to the bedside, she'd speak gently, remembering her reaction to behind healed in the past.

"Just some burn salve ta sooth the nerves, and I'll use my magi ta help ya feel a bit better, okay dear?"

[21:14] Nods slowly seeming to not really want to talk right now as she feels bad slightly for getting hurt as she slides off the fox mask with her only good arm as her face is now shown as she had a sad look on her face.

[21:19] Taking a moment after putting the supplies down on the bedside, she'd lift her rand to pat the girl's head gently. "No need ta be upset little one, 'm glad yer alright. This'll heal well enough." Expression was soft as she reached down to hold her arm once more, pulling more water from the fountain once again.

Beginning to shimmer softly, it would wrap around her arm before seeping through the skin. Her tail swayed slowly as it worked to sooth the fried nerves.

One the water was finished absorbing, fingers of her free hand would dip into the salve beside her and start rubbing it gently into the burns. She had been mostly joking when she had mentioned burns, but part of her wondered if the girl was a magnet for getting burned.

[21:23] Having watched two proper procedures Balam felt satisficed enough to take his studying of medical knowledge off on his own. Although he was still just a child and his efforts would have to wait before he could properly stich someone up he was glad to know there was more than one way to do it.

"Thank you for showing me all this today Kamei! I feel like I've learned a lot..." He mumbled a little as he scribbled down a few more notes, Taking into consideration how harshly burned Hamako's arm was he was surprised she wasn't bawling in pain. But with both patients fixed up he headed out of the clinic.

Wondering what sorts of other things he could witness. Or what terrors awaited him on the battle field had he not gained the strength required of a warrior to venture beyond the depths of the Tribeland's forests.

[21:24] Having watched the treatment and howKamei used her water magic healing abilities instead of something more common, he simply nodded his head and placed his mask and hood back on to make his way outside.

It was a new thing to watch the healing Waters so effectivel deal with someone's injury like that.

[21:27] Kamei took her time bandaging the girl's arm up afterwards, humming gently as she smiled. "Yer welcome dear, Just keep with it and I'm sure you'll do great things." Her head tilted to look at the boy for a moment before looking back at her current patient.

"And try and take it a bit easier fer a day or two, alright Hamako?" Her hand moved to gently pat behind one ear as she stood straight before giving a stretch.
