Just for Tonight (INCOMPLETE)

"Shit..." Yuuichirou muttered to himself upon realization that he had lost the keys to his apartment. "How could this happen?" he thought. Weighing his options he came to the conclusion that he'll have to wait until tomorrow to track them down or make a copy. It is getting late after all. The question now was where was he going to spend the night?

"Shinoa." he thought.

Granted, both Kimizuki and Yoichi lived closer, but come on, Kimizuki wasn't going to be keen on welcoming Yuu into his home and Yoichi would just be weird about it. And if Kimizuki wasn't about to give him a warm welcome, then Mitsuba surely wasn't going to either.

"And that's definitely why I'm going to Shinoa's for the night." he assured himself as he started making his way to her complex.

"It's nothing weird, and it's not like I'd do it if I had another choice." he continued.



Shinoa was in the shower when she heard the knock on the door. She sighed, shut the water off, quickly threw on a shirt, pair of shorts and put her hair into a messy ponytail.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" she shouted; still wringing her hair out.

"Who the hell is even at the door at this hour?" she thought to herself. "It's been a long enough day already - I swear if it's Guren or-"  she opened the door "-oh god, it's Yuu."

"O-oh, Yuu." she piped up "What are you doing here so late?"

"Well, I uhm" Yuuichirou began. "I lost my keys." he blushed and prepared for ridicule.

"Oh! Is that so? I suppose that means you'll be needing somewhere to sleep for the night?"

"...Yeah..." Yuu said rubbing his neck and averting his eyes.

"Well come on in then!" Shinoa gleefully replied.

"Huh?" Yuu was confused, but accepted her invitation.



If he were to tell the truth, he didn't want to let his guard now. There's no way she wasn't planning on teasing him. Granted, he probably, just maybe liked her teasing more than he cared to admit, but nonetheless, his pride still didn't want to let her slip by him.

Little did he know, Shinoa really did have no intention of picking on him - not tonight. If anything she was overjoyed to have him in her home, if not a bit nervous. She loved spending time with the emerald eyed boy. Was it love? Oh, no, no, no, certainly not! She'd never say it was. She just liked him. But no, no, no not like that. She just cared about him. Like a brother or something. Yeah, that's it.



"So, uhm" Yuu started. "I notice your hair's wet... I... didn't just interrupt your shower, did I?" he could help but blush a tad at the thought of Shinoa in the shower.

"You sure did, but it's okay I was just wrapping up anyway. Besides we wouldn't want to leave you out in the cold, now would we?" she turned around and flashed him a soft smile. One that made him feel indescribably... warm... why was she being so nice?

"And hey!" she started again "I already ate tonight, but I take it you haven't. Want me to fix you something?" she asked, leading him into the kitchen.

Yuu cocked an eyebrow "Really? I've always heard from Mitsuba that your cooking is awful."

"Now, now, Yuu." she began, jokingly "I'll have you know that Mitsu's simply just jealous of my talents. After all..." she retrieved a bag from the freezer "my skill at pressing buttons on a microwave is unparalleled." she said, showing that what she was holding was a bag of frozen onigiri.

"Alright, I'll bite." Yuu said with a chuckle.
