  1. [16:39] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "To the temple then."
  2. [16:39] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I will ask for respectful silence. I do not...tend to enjoy audiences."
  3. [16:41] The Elder pauses before the three seats, looking over them and the raised walls all around with a wistful glance and a frown.
  4.
  5. She hates what this place makes her remember. It's the most serviceable regardless.
  6.
  7. "Some space, please," she asks as she begins patting down her coat, then rolling up the hem of her sleeve again. All the way up to and then past her elbow to show the litany of scars.
  8.
  9. "And bring me the staff."
  10. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [16:44] Keeping his steps small, he'd come to a halt for a moment just enough to place Teivel's Embrace before the Drakanite. No words escape afterward, and a bit of nod is offered before the Hirai steps back, offering her proper space.
  14.
  15. Quiet, for now, waiting.
  16. (Elyon Hirai)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [16:44] It doesn't take long for the Shaman to step away. In fact, he usually knew just how much these rituals can take, and he'd hate to be bothersome party in here. Upon request, he stands aside, watching as Elyon offered the staff.
  20.
  21. Silence, and he maintained his gaze on the ritual.
  22. (Keitaro)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [16:44] Ohtli looks over her shoulder, pursing her lips at the two behind her.
  26. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [16:44] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "...Please. Space."
  30. [16:44] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "Are you a relation to this one, stranger?"
  31. [16:45] Abriam kept his space and watched on iin silence.
  32. (Abriam Caelum)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [16:45] Anders Storms says, "His son in law."
  36. [16:45] Anders Storms says, "I'll leave if you'd rather."
  37. [16:45] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Son-in-law?..."
  38. [16:45] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I was not aware he had a child of marrying age."
  39. [16:45] Bella distances herself, giving the Spiritmancer space. There were so many questions in her mind, but none of which she spoke. They'd be answered in time, so for now? She watches in silence, breath held and all.
  40. (Belladonna)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [16:45] Anders Storms says, "He adopted Belladonna. I am her husband."
  44. [16:47] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Ah. I see."
  45. [16:47] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Very well then..."
  46. [16:56] With one of her forearms exposed, the Drakan takes a deep and bracing breath. From her hip in a simple leather sheathe she takes a primitive knife.
  47.
  48. The trusty blade, old and worn from so many sacrifices. Her claws were sharper, and would certainly do, but the little dagger itself has become an undeniable part of her ritual.
  49.
  50. She's gotten old. Her bones creak, her movements slow and her body fragile, but her spirit remains steely and unbroken. Ohtli's voice still carries the same authority it has gained over decades of experience.
  51.
  52. The Elder Spiritcaller speaks aloud as she draws a knife unflinchingly down the interior of her arm. A fresh rivulet of blood trails down between the pattern of her scales.
  53.
  54. "Great Serpent!
  55.
  56. "Quetzalcoatl. Lady of Winds and Preserver of Creation. I ask you today to help me return a soul to the land of the living. We wish for this noble spirit to make peace with his kin so that he can pass on and continuethe cycle.
  57.
  58. Please. I beseech you. Return to use Declan Du Caelum."
  59.
  60. When her earnest entreaty is through she holds her arm over the fallen man's treasured staff. Droplets hit the arcanium and give rise to tongues of light blue flame. They do nothing to mar the surface of the pristine weapon, but its entirety is suffused with a powdery glow.
  61.
  62. And then she waits.
  63. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [17:02] It seems you’re being summoned back, are you?
  67.
  68. “Definitely. Seems my job is never done, is it?”
  69.
  70. Come back soon, loser.
  71.
  72. “Well, aren’t you just a lovely bunch of oa-”
  73.
  74. Before he can actually finish his sentence to this entity, he was forced back into the land of the living, surrounded by people that he knew. Yet, in his time of being dead, most of his memory was only focused on that current moment.
  75.
  76. He looks around, first his son and wife, then his adopted kids, finally to Ohtli, Elyon, Keitrao - his nephews as well.
  77.
  78. Yep, he was back in the land of the living, kind of translucent but his holy energy was radiating like wild.
  79.
  80. “...well then.”
  81. (Declan Caelum)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [17:05] Ohtli is still standing there, her scaled arm exposed, lacerated and bleeding. Wherever her blood drops those same flickers of blue and white flame rise. They stain nothing, miracle of miracles. No one has to clean up the temple after this particular ritual.
  85.
  86. It's still the Drakan's blood all the same, and there's been a lot of it used. No ritual is without its sacrifice after all.
  87.
  88. That doesn't mean she can't give the ghostly Declan a small smile.
  89.
  90. "I see you have come to the call."
  91. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [17:06] It isn't anything unusual for Spiritmancer.
  95.
  96. If anything, he knew very well just how this ritual goes, and how exactly the results would be. And yet.. despite knowing extensively about it, he can't help but feel surprised when Declan shows up - it's almost like a miracle each time he witnesses something like that, no matter how many times he tried it.
  97.
  98. But it was more than just a miracle.
  99.
  100. It was return of an old friend. Part of him wants to simply approach and embrace the spirit.. even if for a brief moment, even if it wouldn't be 'real'. It was difficult to see the friends part their ways like that, and besides, there were many things that Keitaro didn't do in time - he never got to know Declan all too well.
  101.
  102. As unfortunate as it is.
  103.
  104. Instead, when the ritual is performed and the outline of spirit appears, the Shenlong struggles to find words. It's like seeing his death all over again.. and reliving all those moments that caused him to be absolutely disgusted in certain people. And yet..
  105.
  106. "...Declan."
  107.
  108. "I'm glad to see you again. I really am."
  109. (Keitaro)
  110. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  111.
  112. [17:06] Abriam took a few breaths to calm down and stop himself from crying like a bitch when he saw his father back and full of life.. In fact it was more life than he saw in him when he was still alive.
  113.
  114. He looked untouched by time from the days of his prime as he seemingly glowed.
  115.
  116. "You didn't let me say goodbye back before going, dumb old man."
  117. (Abriam Caelum)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [17:08] Though she knew well enough the inner workings of spiritmancy, she still couldn't help but to hold her breath as if there might be something in the ritual that could go horribly, horribly wrong. Listening to Ohtli's words sent chills running down her spine.
  121.
  122. The blazing blue flames that rose from his staff caused her eyes to widen. At this rate, the suspense was going to suffocate her.
  123.
  124. But out from the fire comes a familiar figure that makes her fluttering heart suddenly sink into the pit of her stomach before rising again. She nearly choked, but managed to hold back her emotions just barely. On the brink of tears, she lifts a hand to her mouth.
  125.
  126. She didn't know whether or not spirits could kick ass, but if he saw her crying, she figured he'd very well try.
  127.
  128. "Didn't think you'd get to skip the reception, did you?" Her hand lowers, revealing a heart-wrenching smile that was very well trying its hardest not to break.
  129. (Belladonna)
  130. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  131.
  132. [17:08] A process he wasn't particularly unfamiliar with-- or, rather, he had seen it take place in the past. No words escape the Warchief, and weight merely shifts from one side to the other as a certain Caelum manifests itself. To calling it a miracle would be an understatement.
  133.
  134. Arms are loose by his side, and the curl of lips which follows is perhaps a bit too faint to be visible, although he did let those eyes drift to a clan, and a sigh to escape past.
  135.
  136. "Declan."
  137.
  138. It's murmured outward, but no other movements of sorts whatsoever. Even if the Caelum appeared to be relatively... sane; he couldn't help but think of purgatory, or, at least, what he knows of the thing-- what Keitaro told him so.
  139.
  140. Still, silent, for now.
  141. (Elyon Hirai)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [17:12] The Kang looks like shit. There's no better way to actually put it-- His jacket's stained with flecks of booze, the scent of rum and vodka heavy, bags decorate his eyes, and he just stands there fidgeting with his hands. He'd never seen a summoning before and catching the coattails didn't exactly spell well for his experiences.
  145.
  146. A hesitant glance is cast towards Nochtli. Was this really good for him?
  147.
  148. Taking a slight step forward to stand behind the crowd he'd grit his teeth for a time. Light blues scan over them all-- Family and friends of the Sarradian that had died before him. Was this really the time to ask him?
  149.
  150. Swallowing a rising lump another glance is cast towards his fiancé. Standing among the backlines he'd try to hold his best smile; One was to smile for the fallen, especially if they were brought back for a limited time right?
  151.
  152. "Welcome... Welcome back-- I..." The Kang's voice is weak, but he's quick to trail on off. He'd hold his questions for now. It was time for others to be happy.
  153. (Sima Kang)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [17:14] Casually walked out back in the temple, their head lowered, yet even as such she was still able to notice the gathering of people near the three thrones. Thus she casually walked towards her older kid, embracing them, not out of anything really.
  157.
  158. She still held a heavy sorowful gaze, as if the weight on her shoulders refused to go away, even over looking up, and noticing the bright sprit of the one she have seen it's lifeless corpse for hours, if not days, standing there and full of light.
  159.
  160. Even if that could have taken a tear or another from her, it didn't really change her overall mood, she knew they were gone, even now, they're still gone. This isn't more than na opportunity to say 'goodbye.'
  161.
  162. "L-love...?" Her widened eyes were locked and totally focused on them, while she already knew what was happening, there was no real reason to give any care for anything else going on that room.
  163. (Iral Woodnshire)
  164. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  165.
  166. [17:14] Ohtli watches, turning a bit to take stock of all the faces in the room. The expressions, the feelings. Another inhale as her wings flutter.
  167.
  168. With her good hand she takes one of the scales from her lacerated arm, the gem-like plate covered in her blood.
  169.
  170. As all the chatter goes on, as feelings swell at the Gehennan's return, it glows faintly in her grasp.
  171.
  172. The Elder pockets the shiny little scale, wheezes, and steps off to the wayside. Her work here is done and she very much needs something to lean on.
  173. (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
