- A Gardevoir's story:
- * I don't know who I was before, my name, my home, family, childhood. I am sure I had those things, everyone does, but I just don't remember them. My first memory is waking up in the forest. Darkness all around with the feel of a cool rock on one side of me and buried under soft leaves. I just lied there on my side, I don't know how but I was calm, and I could feel that i was thinner, and alot lighter...as in light like in a floating dream light, than I should be. It also felt like there was a short half circle that was oddly sensative but not in a way that hurt protruding from the middle of my back, like part of my back. I fumbled a bit as warmth came down through the leaves, my hands felt soft and I only had three fingers, two and a thumb; I don't know why but this felt less than I think I had before...maybe. As I traced my sides slowly, moving the bits of leaves and twigs aside I gasped and jerked as I felt something in the middle of my chest and upper abdomen, like a dolphin fin on my chest only smaller, like the half circle on my back...which it was directly opposite of it too felt overly sensative but only if touched softly. It had a rounded edge and at the base just felt like part of my body. My hair was like a pillow and even as the leaves got warmer I still wanted to stay awake; however I became aware of movement...lots of movement, not just hearing it, but feeling it, like I could sense everything beyond my leafy cocoon.
- I knew I had to get up, it was that quick thought that caused it too happen, the leaves practically exploded away from me and I floated up to a standing position. I wasn't standing but floating an inch off the ground. I was in a ditch by a boulder and looking around I or someone had buried me right here under a lot of leaves and sticks. Kind of like a tiny leanto that had collapsed perhaps. I knew things like that, but nothing about myself. I was surprised that i seemed to be wearing a waist high dress; more surprised to realize it was part of my body; and that my feet came to points. I floated there for a few moments, bending one knee behind the other, doing some stretches I guess. I could feel the animals and...things that weren't animals but still thinking and moving around. I to put it simply had no motivation. I didn't know where I was, why I was there, or where I could go. But I did know after a few moments I was hungry and thirsty; so that was my first motivation, find something to drink and something to eat.
- As I glided through the forest it was clear that most everything else was keeping its distance, creatures I could identity as HootHoot, Noctowl, Oddish, and others, I had an idea of what I was too, but it wasn't till I was looking back in those large red eyes through my reflection in the lake just beyond the trees that i knew; I was a Gardevoir. I kneeled down and scooped up some water in my oddly perfect for a scoop hand and drank. I had time to look around, the lake wasn't a particularly large lake and in fact looked man made. The grass around it was clearly mowed. rocks piled up in the shallows for small fish and the occasional Wooper. It was tranquil. I walked...in that I moved my legs oh so gracefully but was really walking on the air above the grass...in a manner of speaking, I was still uncomfortable with just moving without moving my legs. I stopped when I saw a house like building on the lake off in the distance with a large deck over the water. There weren't any people outside but I could sense beyond the large glass doors there were people, and that knowledge made me hesitate, I trembled a little...it was sort of like fear, but also anger, were humans why I was unconcious in the forest? Were humans why I had no memories? I didn't know, I only knew I wanted to avoid humans; but there was a smell in the air that made my stomach growl. So I floated to my left off the grass into the tree line and as steathfully as I possibly could moved closer to where the people were.

- -Meanwhile-
- "Welcome trainers to the Violet City Pokemon park," a woman in a rangers outfit addresses a group of five people, a rotund young man in jeans and a t-shirt with a not really any thicker of material vest over the t-shirt. A skinny kid in shorts, white t-shirt, and wearing a straw hat. A twenty something couple of a man and a woman who look more like they are on holiday than here for Pokemon catching and training, and finnally a young busom woman with short red hair in a tight black top and blue shorts carrying a high tech pack with her.
- The ranger leads the group out of the ranger station onto the deck over looking the lake, "We are at the edge of Violet City's Pokemon park, here you will find a mix of grassy areas, seven man made lakes, forests, and if you dare venture far enough out there is a perfectly safe artificial cave system, factory area, and even a small desert area. In total this park stretches over ten square miles. Each of you has been given a rescue transmitter, which don't worry can even work underground with our underground relays; and there are emergency phone stations marked by a red phone symbol in case you drop your rescue transmitter. You have each paid for different lengths of time and are free to catch any pokemon you encounter, this is a well stocked preserve. Of course you do have a bag limit of five per day, and when your time is up your rescue transmitter will alert us and we will send out a hover pod for you."
- She stops and takes a look back over the lake, "However as a reminder, you are not permitted to continue trying to catch any pokemon when the time limit is up, unless you were engaged in a fight at that time. This will be reviewed of course if it becomes the case, so please pay close attention to your timers and try to space your battles accordingly. Other than that please observe the no littering rule, make use of the trash recepticals located through out the park; and for your convienence the station has a pokemon center and a transfer PC. However keep in mind only this station has those, so be careful out there, and of course; have fun.
- The girl takes off on a hover scooter like she knows exactly where she wants to go like she's been here before. The lovey dovey couple are walking down a trail from the ranger station with a sign leading to the caves. The kid in the straw hat has taken from his pack a collapsable fishing rod, baited it with a fruity smelling block and is fishing. The rotund kid however is walking down the other side of the lake towards the woods looking at a map of the park showing the forests, paths, lakes, the corner with the fake desert and corner with the fake factory and city area. He also has out a radar.
- "Oh boy," says the kid, "They really do stock the park with Pokemon from all over the world, the radar is showing a Bellossom right over there, oooh an Abra don't have that in my pokedex yet, hmm, some Rattata, Raticate, Parasect, Aipom, and...a Gardevoir? Awesome, even better than an Abra."

- It is a tranquil scene, a berry bush stuffed full of ripe juicy berries. A Bellossom is picking the berries and happily enjoys them; meanwhile a Gardevoir stands there and timidly picks one, eyeing it and looking down at the smiling Bellossom as though to reassure her that they are edible and delicious. She slowly puts the tiny purple orb in her mouth, crushing it against her pallate, the sweet juices spraying across her tongue. Her eyes are wide with surprise at the explosion of flavor and she eagerly eats more. However this scene is interrupted by the sound of footfalls and the sensing of a menacing, predatory vibe. The Bellossom looks confused as the Gardevoir tenses up and floats sideways into the tree line, keeping her face towards the feeling, darting quickly behind trees to observe the source of the predatory vibe. A rotune young human male in jeans and what looks like two layors of t-shirts with the outer one cut to look like a vest. She glides sideways in the opposite direction, towards the lake. However the human turns, eyes down at some red tablet device, she can sense it, he is tracking her somehow. Even as she slightly speeds up the human does too, she can sense he is tracking her yet is not aware she is observing him. That is until she exits the tree line by the side of the lake and the boy suddenly leaps out.
- "You're mine!" he shouts and throws a pokeball, from which appears in a red flash a Machoke.
- The Mackoke *blinks* and looks back at the kid and indicates the Gardevoir with its thumb, "Ma...Machoke?"
- "Machoke!," shouts the boy, "use Seismic Toss."
- Without question the Machoke charges her with its arms out.
- The Gardevoir's eyes glow with a blue light and the Mackoke is levitated off the ground, followed by a burst of psychic energy and she let's the Machoke drop to the ground unconcious.
- "Oh right," says the boy with little to no concern as he recalls the Machoke to its pokeball, "Gardevoir is a psychic type; I keep thinking its a grass type for some reason."
- "In that case," he tosses another Pokeball and from its appears the similar style but distinctly different, Incineroar.
- "Use fire punch!" shouts the Boy.
- The Gardvoir spins like a dancer to avoid the attack, followed by an uppercut charged with partciles sending the Incineroar into the air, she quickly teleports into the air and juggles the opponent pokemon with a series of strikes, spinning strikes, ended with a downward strike sending the Incineroar into the ground; all the while the kid is mouth agape just going, "wh...wah...huh...that's...what?"
- The Incineroar slowly rises, but before the kid can give another command the Gardevoir unleashes a powerful "Hyper Voice" attack, sending energized sound shockwaves at the Incineroar, and as it stumbled she teleports in right in front of it, uppercutting it again, dashes back and spin's charging up her strike seemingly before sideways chopping the firey cat into the lake. Where it gasps before stumbling ashore and passing out.
- "Tha...that's impossible!" shouts the kid, "Pokemon don't fight like that! and that was way more than four moves! cheater!"
- He recalls the Incineroar and uses another pokeball summoning a Houndoom.
- The Gardevoir narrows her eyes as the kid spoke and holds out her right hand.
- "Use flamethrower!" shouts the kid, but to both his and the Houndoom's surprise the flamethrower is being sucked into an invisible tiny space right in front of the Houndoom's mouth, and even after the flames stop there is a sucking sound and the Houndoom's eyes roll back in its head and passes out. The Gardevoir lowers her hand and her eyes stop glowing.
- "What was that move?" growls the kid as he recalls the Houndoom, "Okay, now for my ace, go Water Master!"
- His named Pokemon is actually a Blastoise.
- "Use headbutt!" shouts the kid.
- The Gardevoir twirls around, easily dodging the Blastoise and teleports into the air, she twirls her arms and a bunch of leaves appear with a purple aura around them just before they all fly down like a rain of knives and strikes the Blastoise, it cries out and topples down. But shakes its head and rises up, just in time for the Gardevoir to clinch her fist, electricity dancing around her hand, she spins sideways in the air like a barrel as if building strength in her strike and comes down striking the Blastoise in the head, knocking it to the ground so hard it kicks up dust. She dashes back and gathers a green energy in her hand forming a sphere, but the Blastoise only tries to rise up once before falling over unconcious, the sphere of energy shrinks, and the Gardevoir's eyes twitch as a shrill noise is emitted by a device on the kid's belt, she teleports away back into the woods. Just as the ranger comes out the double doors and sees the kid standing there not even fifty feet from the ranger station, ranting about cheating Pokemon that know more than four moves, and the automated hover craft departing from the station just to go fifty some odd feet to pick the kid up and bring him back.
- *a few minutes later*
- "To be fair," says the ranger, "the four moves thing isn't an actual thing; it is recommended by training professionals to only focus on four moves and work with those for your Pokemon, especially when you have a large number of them like yourself and other registered Pokemon Collectors. Its also a rule to only use four moves that are registered with your Pokemon in most Pokemon Leagues. and while a wild Pokemon isn't likely to even know that many, in nature Pokemon tend to use physical attacks that would be registered differently and in most cases not even recognized by most leagues. That said, we are reviewing the combat data you sent us, and it is possible the Gardevoir you encountered was from a region we don't normally get Pokemon from for this exact reason; we apologize for this experience and if you like we won't dock the time from your visit if that's alright with you."
- "Yeah, sure, whatever," says the kid as his Pokemon are being healed, "what region has cheating Pokemon anyway?"
- The ranger looks confused and looks at the nurse bringing out the Pokemon, "I don't know right away where our stocking crew got it from; but I assure you we will be looking into it. A few regions do come to mind, again our apologies and we you enjoy the rest of your stay here at Violet City park."
- After the kid leaves the ranger turns to the nurse, "I want Deryle on the phone right away, I want to know where that hunter he hired got this last batch of Pokemon from. That Gardevoir was using Ferrum region combat skills; we can't have something that dangerous wandering around our park; and it also used thunder punch; there is no way this wasn't someone's trained Pokemon."
