How does Gowar present the protagonist of the poem?

Gowar presents the protagonist as a very erratic person. I get this impression because the protagonist appears calm and says “we’ll just be friends”. The exclamation mark tells us that the protagonist forgets about begging for them to be more. The protagonist changes his/her mind all of the time. Gowar juxtaposes the short sharp sentence with longer lines of the poem to shock the listener. The differences in sentence lengiths emphasise how erratic the protagonist is.
