First and foremost elimination by "tampering" is not a rule stated in the rulebook given to players.

But, even so, I sent an email out of the kindness of my heart, fully complying with the rules.
The rules ask that the Killer state:
Who was killed, and by whom
Estimated time of kill
I provided all of this information. Granted it was upon request that the time information was provided. I still provided this information. The date is not a  listed required piece of information.


Also, nowhere in the rules does it state I must, or even "should" respond to, you, the moderator upon questioning.

Please inform my hunter (Nic Braxton I believe?) that I'm ready for him.

RULES

Shenanigans 2017 officially begins Wednesday (3/22) 11:59 PM!!!!

Basic Rules

The object of the game is to eliminate your target and/or the person who is targeting you (this person is called your hunter).
You will be notified via email who your target is, but you will not be notified who your hunter is.
You may kill your target or your hunter! See “Kills” below for more details.

You win the game by becoming the last person alive.
When there are 2 people left, timers are off and you must kill the other person to win!

You will have 72 hours to make a kill.
When you make a kill (target or hunter), your timer will be reset to 72 hours.
If your target has been killed by someone else (I.E. their target), you will receive an email with your new target’s identity as well as an additional 24 hours to your expiration date.
DO NOT break into people’s houses. The only conditions upon which you may enter a home that is not yours are:
If a roommate lets you in (you are NOT allowed to lie about whether you are “alive” or “dead” in the game.)
If you are invited in by someone in the house (whom your target or their roommate let in)
If your target lets you in, not knowing you’re their hunter
You may not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES restrain, hold, punch, stab, trip, trap or otherwise physically impair someone in order to kill them or help someone else kill them.


Specific Rules

Kills
A kill is achieved by wetting your target or hunter withWATER from a WATER GUN.
Water in liquid form is your ONLY ammunition.
Any liquid that is not H2O is strictly prohibited.
This includes but is not limited to:
Soft drinks, recovery formulas, coffee, tea, Gatorade, alcoholic beverages, energy drinks, bodily fluids, etc.
Kills can ONLY be made with a water gun
All other liquid carrying devices are strictly prohibited.
These include but are not limited to:
Garden hoses, sink sprayers, bottles, buckets, balloons, cups, or fire hydrants.
NO LYING ABOUT YOUR OR ANYONE’S CURRENT STATUS IN SHENANIGANS!!!
Statuses: Dead, Alive, “playing” or “not playing”
Game status cannot be lied about when questioned about yourself or others. You may lie about who is targeting whom (or anything else in the world), but you may not lie about whether someone is currently in the game or not.
YOU CANNOT INTENTIONALLY SHOOT SOMEONE WHO ISN’T YOUR TARGET OR HUNTER
This means that you cannot just shoot everyone you see in order to be safe.
All contested kills must be reported to ecushenanigans@gmail.com
A cease-fire will take place between the two parties until BOTH parties are contacted by the Moderator and a ruling is made.
When reporting a contested kill, please include the names of the players involved, and as much information as you can accurately provide. Record why the kill is being contested.
The only way to contact the moderator is by emailing ecushenanigans@gmail.com   -- texting Tom or Chané is not a valid form of communication.
You may continue to kill the other person you are eligible to kill while you await the verdict from the Moderator.
All rulings are FINAL!

Places of Refuge (and hours of operation) – locations and times that a person will be considered safe and will not be able to kill or be killed.
Church
On Sundays from 7AM – 2PM, EVERYONE is safe, whether you are at church or not.
This cease-fire is only effective during the listed hours, NOT all day.
Church fellowship groups or other official church events are places of refuge.
Refuge is NOT obtained until arrival on the grounds of the church event.
Transit to the church event is NOT protected.
If you expire during the cease-fire you are expired!! Plan accordingly.

RUF Events
 Large Group - A cease-fire is in effect from 6:30pm - 10pm on Wednesdays. This cease-fire only applies if you go to Large Group!
Other official RUF Functions (including kickball games, service projects, and one-on-ones with Tom) are safe, both during the actual event, and 15 minutes before and after the scheduled time of the event

Classrooms
You are only safe in the room itself.
It has to be your classroom
You are only safe in that classroom 10 minutes prior to the start of your class in that room, during class, and 10 minutes after the end of your class in that room.
If you leave class for any reason you are FAIR GAME.
Work
You are safe during your shift.
Five minutes before your shift starts and five minutes after it ends you are safe.


How to Report a Kill/Death

Both players involved should send an email to the Moderator (ecushenanigans@gmail.com), and this email should state:
Who was killed, and by whom
Estimated time of kill
The Killer should include in the same email:
The story of the kill! (What happened? How did you kill the person? What resources did you use?)*
The more detail the better!
Any other people who assisted in the kill**
Gave information
Helped set up the kill
Betrayals

*There will be awards pertaining to this information.

**These people will remain anonymous throughout the game.



We have tried to be as clear and cover as much as we can, but we cannot cover all possible situations. Please DO NOT intentionally take the rules out of the intended context by the Moderator, and please DO email us if you have any questions about these rules.
