  1. [18:04:22] Rosaline's strikes are steadfast. Wind, gravity and time propel her to speeds unknown -- her sword moves faster than the other combatants can see, and with each strike flies a flurry of Ifrit's deadly flames. Her focus is unrivaled! She is dedicated to downing this beast!
  2.
  3. She pauses mid air when it seems to shudder and slam forward, rocking the ground. It's tail flies upwards... directly towards Rosaline. She's frozen in fear, and the girth of the worm's rear end is too fast for her to evade.
  4.
  5. WHAM!
  6.
  7. Rosaline falls from the air like a bird who has hit a windowpane. Her flames dissipate at once, and Anguirel falls from her hand. She hits the ground with a painful, embarassing slam and from the impact erupts the toxic sludge that remained from the undead.
  8.
  9. She's landed directly in a pile of it, face-down.
  10.
  11. Her already mutilated face is now scalded with the acidic sludge -- what little was left of the bare skin on her cheeks is now corroded and twisted with the sting of the Apostle. Her pain is visible when a hand moves to push herself up from the ground.
  12.
  13. "Shit," she manages beyond clenched teeth. Her stare, slowly fading to a pale blue, moves around to find someone familiar. It fixates on Hibiki, who suffered the same fate. "Is it bad? Shit hurts."
  14.
  15. When she raises from the ground, her cloak is in tatters, eaten away and corroded by the same acid that scalded her face. It barely clings to her shoulders, revealing the dented, rusted armor of the Wraith Guard that was barely spared.
  16. (Rosaline)
  17. [18:16:19] As time passes, Rosaline grows more and more irritable. Something is bugging her, something won't stop. Her stare flickers back and forth, and those surrounding her may notice it growing more and more blue. Her eyes are dead, shifting from dull brown to an icy, desaturated blue... uncannily similar to the man she had crushed minutes before.
  18.
  19. "What?" she'd snap when Akroma spoke to her, "Say that again. I -- Isn't it loud? Don't you hear --"
  20.
  21. She gritted her teeth, letting out a grunt of half-frustration half-pain. She ignored Akroma's orders, moving to pick Anguirel up from the ground and shove it in it's sheath. She occupied herself, pacing and glancing to and fro, as if looking for something.
  22.
  23. "Shut up!" She cried after what felt like an eternity, nose turned upwards to the ceiling, as if speaking to some omnipotent being.
  24. (Rosaline)
  25. [18:29:58] The laughing doesn't stop. Rosaline seems to pay no attention to the creature that erupts from the corpse of the beast -- she's instead bickering and yelling and shouting to the ceiling, crying, pleading for it to stop.
  26.
  27. She doesn't deal well with laughter.
  28.
  29. But all at once, she stops. She's half knelt to the ground, a single hand wrapped around ear, when she pauses -- it's as if time itself had froze. When she begins moving again, it's robotic, unlike the purposeful movements Rosaline is known for. Each step is lifeless, as if she were some zombie.
  30.
  31. Beneath the Apostle she stands, head held high, hand on Anguirel.
  32. (Rosaline)
  33. [18:49:36] Rosaline's will is not as strong as Hibiki. She follows wordlessly, puddy in the hands of the Apostle. The sound of Anguirel being drawn reverberates throughout the cave. Effortlessly, she thrusts upwards into the air, next to the spirit. Her sword crosses over it, almost protectively, and her stare burns down at any who dare to meet it.
  34.
  35. Flames erupt from her form without error. They're dangerous, hot, and aimed directly at her own comrades. Alongside it whirls deadly, razor-sharp winds, and when they merge... a wicked, hulking claw forms from her left arm. It flexes and twists and shimmers under her mana's thrall, shaped by perfected gales and burning with fire pure and bright... but it's intentions are all but perfect, pure and bright.
  36.
  37. This was not Rosaline. The burnt, mangled, disfigured woman floating next to the Apostle was vicious and had the intent to kill.
  38. (Rosaline)
  39. {NARRATION} One of the Twelve Apostles was on the verge of being defeated. The sadistic grin it sported throughout the battle was no longer flaunted freely, and its screeches echoed in dissaray- but it still fought with pained ferocity, despite the amount of damaged its shadowy shell had sustained- hurls of tainted winds slicing and cutting towards all nearby- blasts of condensed anti-matter flying through the air in great explosions. The spirals of blue energy are all the more effective near the end of the battle, as are Demeter's enchanted fists. On the verge of death, the Apostle's wings spread out and it charges a sphere of magical energy- but not fast enough for Tyrfing's holy wave of scorching fire comes its way- and before it had time to transform into black gas to avoid the blast, it impacts in a direct hit. With the collision, the Apostle's form is sent out in every direction- a great explosion of shadow following its death- that shakes the very foundation of the cavern as the black mass rips apart everything nearby, moving through the tunnels and the exit, the walls and the ground- slicing at those present should they not avoid its final assault. The cave was about to collapse on them all. Many were injured, but they had to move or perish here. Those taken over by the Apostle's infectious abilities were able to move freely again, able to think of their own accord. Their pale blue eyes returned to a normal shade, save for a spot in the corner of misty blue, that seemed to remain, unchanging despite the curse being 'lifted'. A wound, perhaps...? Or something else?
  40. [19:33:58] Rosaline fights furiously. Her focus is on Chloe -- her pale, blue stare does not leave the woman. Even as the blades of others slash and bash into her, she is completely and utterly fixated on the Hastings.
  41.
  42. But then she collapses. A final blow from Diode's blade sends her tumbling to the ground, limbs sprawled out and face buried in the dirt.
  43.
  44. It's unknown to the others whether or not Rosaline is herself again... she's passed out!
  45. (Rosaline)
