We were all born, for that we celebrate
Another 364 days we wait
We were all beget then sent to a nursery
A milestone starting an anniversary

For 364 days we awaited
Now let's consume a cake decorated
With lit candles never outgrown
Presented so they may be blown

Waiting patiently, it's almost here
And birthdays come but once a year
Invitations sent, awaiting replies;
My goodness, time rapidly flies

Shocked by the fact that every friend
Found an expensive gift on which to spend
Yet my aunt will only finance
A brightly striped shirt and blue pants

For 364 days wee awaited
And hope it's not belated
Now let's consume a cake decorated
To celebrate the day you were procreated
With lit candles never outgrown
To make your age publicly known
Presented so they may be blown
Another successful party thrown
