BACKGROUND :
     ◈ being the middle child is an experience only other middle children can relate to. it may not always be a case of not enough love or being forgotten, but it's always something different. ju mihyeon always received the love she needed from her parents and they cared dearly about her, but being the middle child always left her in this weird place. mihyeon never noticed, but it was always there. it was kinda like she was forgotten, but more along the lines of just getting shoved in there with her other siblings. during school, all three did different activities and it was always just a jumble of getting everyone where they needed to be and then getting them back. any chance they could get, they would try to do the most they could at once. so sometimes there weren't those special moments for one child's achievements. their parents would always apologize and everyone would be forgiven, but it would still suck. that's when mihyeon really grew to like being complimented and praised. she lived in a busy household, but as long as she fought her way to the top of the list, she would get the reward. she had a lot of room to do what she wanted since a lot of the time when her parents had to sign something they would just do it without looking. she might have always been a ditz, but there were still a few things mihyeon knew she wanted, and the first thing was to dance. she wasn't the best, but she would work hard and over time started to learn quicker. all she ever had a clue about was her love to dance.

 but when it came to being an idol, mihyeon was oblivious about what to do. she always enjoyed dancing and watching the idols on tv always made her feel a certain way, but she had no clue where to start. it wasn't until a classmate suggested she be an idol, that she really got interested. it was one of those moments where one person compliments the other and then the whole class starts complimenting that person and it really made mihyeon want to be an idol. it's all she could talk about for the rest of the day. she looked up different companies and started auditioning. at first, she wasn't too confident. having classmates compliment you and expecting to get into one of the big 3 entertainments are two waaay different things. so she started small and got into M&H, they had a high standard for dance and mihyeon was totally down. if anything, she'd at least grow more from the experience if she couldn't be an idol and that was okay for her. however, about two years in, she was told that she'd be participating in a survival show called 'PRODUCE 101' and she was really confused. the whole thing was something she never expected to experience, but she was very grateful. even though, since she didn't win and her fellow trainee did, she was shit out of a group for a while more than expected. but isn't the phrase "when one door closes, a window opens" because that's exactly what happened to mihyeon. she might have not got into I.O.I, but she did get an interesting offer from SM entertainment. which then led to her current success and she's so happy it ended up how it did.

PERSONALITY :
     ◈ all throughout her life, mihyeon has been known for having, well, bad common sense. she's easily referred to as the dumb blonde in the group, but she can't help it. she's just an absolute airhead. she never failed during school, but when it comes to applying knowledge to her real life, she completely fails. mihyeon thinks very simply, almost cutely. she sees everything in a good light and if it's meant to be bad she'll get confused. the poor girl is so naive when it comes to most things. mihyeon also has a pretty short attention span or in comparison, she'll focus too long on dumb things (like looking at cute stuffies or other idols). so she's not the best person to hang out with 1-on-1. though, she's a good target for scaring. mihyeon is so easily scared, truthfully it's hilarious. she just at such stupid things that, when she's not confused about what happened, even she'll laugh. which really just shows how much of a kid she is. she's such a sweetheart, though. she adores her friends and really enjoys being around them. she's easily one of the cutest idols out there.

 however, the girl isn't exactly... humble. she LOVES to be complimented. just about everything she's says is just a way of her fishing for compliments. she lowkey tries too hard to be the center of attention, but she plays it off well. she'll even use her "dumb blonde" role to her advantage if it means she can somehow get praise. she even enjoys getting criticism, if it means someone thinks she has what it takes to improve. she's so ambitious and wants nothing more than to be the best she can be. she's always seeking approval for all her hard work and looks up to so many people, especially TRAUMA. if you were to ask the other girls they would instantly tell you how in love mihyeon is with TRAUMA. ever since she first saw TRAUMA, she knew that she wanted to be like her. in mihye on's mind TRAUMA is one of the best dancers in the industry. mihyeon might like compliments but she avoids blatantly boasting about herself. however, that's not the case when it comes to her admiration for TRAUMA (or any member really). she's TRAUMA's #1 fan and she will point out every achievement of TRAUMA's any chance she gets. she really values those who are close to her and tries to show it in every way. she's truly just an angel... a kinda dumb angel.

     ◈ she would love to say it's TRAUMA, but in reality, its actually TEMPO. despite TEMPO being known for her icy heart, she has a little soft spot for mihyeon. but she’ll always argue it wasn’t her choice. when mihyeon became a trainee at SM she was like a lost puppy and TEMPO felt “obligated” to befriend her and take care of her. “it wasn’t supposed to be long-term, but i ended up being stuck with her” mihyeon teases her a lot and TEMPO hates it, but their friendship will probably last for a long time (if TEMPO doesn’t kill mihyeon first)

     ◈ mihyeon also gets along with LOVE SHOT pretty well, but mainly because mihyeon is easy to drag along. she never protests when LOVE SHOT asks if she wants to hang out. HOW DID YOU MEET? : like any other day for mihyeon, she was on her way to one of the practice rooms to meet another one of the girls. which making her way around the sm building could be a bit difficult for her, but she felt confident today, which was a mistake. she was sure she was heading the right way and that was currently up some stairs. despite having to count the stairs, she still feels it's faster than the elevator, plus she enjoys the walk. however, while she was deep in thought, concentrated on counting the stairs, someone was coming up the stairs from behind her. mihyeon was still oblivious until said person asked: "why are you counting?" (lmao why are you running). unfortunately for both of them, mihyeon is the easiest person to scare, so as soon as she heard the question she tripped on the next step, falling forward. next thing she knew she had kim doyoung trying to help her up. he starts asking if she's okay and if she needs help but she just waves it off with a cute smile and tells him alright. he then proceeds to ask where she was heading and she tells him, to which he confusingly asks why she was on the flight of stairs when it was on the floor before, and she really had no clue why she was.

HIS FIRST IMPRESSION :
     ◈ like most people who actually meet mihyeon, and not on tv, he could tell that she's always a bit behind. of course, it was always in a cute way, even if some of the things she asked were silly. oddly enough, he was kinda drawn to her, but in a way that he felt the need to care for her. most likely just from how vulnerable she appeared with her confused look.

HER FIRST IMPRESSION :
     ◈ mihyeon had already known of doyoung, but she never really imagined him being so nice. he's one of the biggest visuals and vocalists in the industry and he was nothing super polite and nice. mihyeon was honestly in awe just listening to how sweet he was.

HOW DO THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER :
     ◈ BEGINNING | it wouldn't be hard for them to get along consider neither are really closed off. mihyeon always has a way of quickly getting close to people, but probably because they're concerned or pity her. which is kinda the case? doyoung just gets the feeling that he could help her and thinks her cluelessness is adorable. so they're weirdly attracted to each other but not necessarily romantically (yet)

     ◈ MIDDLE | probably have semi-obvious(non-existent to mihyeon) crushes on each other. but generally just be good friends. mihyeon would kinda latch onto him in the same way she does with TEMPO, and he would just accept it (like TEMPO does). though, doyoung would try to express his feelings as subtly as he could (just in a soft way yano). mihyeon would just be normal mihyeon, ditzy and cute. she'd get super excited to show him new choreographies or literally anything she thinks is cool.

     ◈ END | by now the two are just in a kind of routine. when they're together, they just got all soft and cuddly and do whatever feels comfortable. they naturally rely on each other, even if mihyeon is the one who needs more help. when they're lonely they're each other first pick. mihyeon isn't probably as subtle with her need for constant approval and doyoung is 100% okay with it. she's a good listener when he needs it (even if she's not listening halfway through).
