:ballot_box: **Today is General Election day**. The polls have been open from 07:00 **and will close at 22:00**. As said previously, this is perhaps the most important general election in recent history. If you have an opinion, and you're eligible to vote, this is your chance to get out there and make your voice heard.

**You are eligible to vote if you**:
:white_check_mark: - have registered to vote
:underage: - are 18 or over today
:map: - are a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen (see: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/voter/register-vote-and-update-your-details)
:homes: - are resident at a UK address, or a British citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in the last 15 years
:lock: - are not be legally excluded from voting

:envelope_with_arrow: **Your polling station can be found on your polling card**, which you should have received in the post. Your polling card is **not necessary for you to be able to vote**, but may contain the most up to date polling station. You may be able to find your polling station online, but be warned, these sites aren't always up to date - wasn't up to date where I am!
