  1. P3DMN ARTBOOK COMMENTARY 9
  2. I saw some people talking about (Aki's) outfit choices and thought I'd share their mindset on them.
  3. For the initial sketch, his design was made with almost no hesitation, we thought "boxer=hood" so that was given to him. We wanted something masculine, with stoic coolness that took from the main story attributes, and though there was temptation to go with sillier ideas, the original concept won out.
  4. Halloween:
  5. It was a theme we struggled with greatly for him, and initially we wanted to do something with horror movie themes like undead etc. But nothing felt right. We also also tried a shinigami costume after that, but eventually settled on exorcist.
  6. -I also did Yusukes so I'll add that bit too.-
  7. Yusukes initial design was based around being cool, and we wanted wanted a design that would seem silly to the rest of PT and the players, but still cool. So leather jacket combined with the spikes produced the feeling we were intending. 'What do you think, is it avant garde?' If he approached his friends and collided I could imagine there would be an 'ouch!!'
  8. Halloween:
  9. As a result of straying from 'fallen warrior' as a theme, it was easier to settle with 'Japanese style x ghost= Japanese ghost'. Initially there was an idea to have an actual fireball effect but there were fears that the spiritual feeling might be too unsettling. [Laughs] With the cardboard and a spring I decided to give it a more handmade feel. [He(yusuke) probably did it himself]
