3. Emulators may not use speed up.
4. End real time timer when you hit save after catching spinda. Record in-game time.

General Tips
------------------------------------------------------------------
- Don't run by spinners, run to them and walk when they look away
- More X attacks you have the better.
- Only Mudkip needed entire run.
- Practice movement, but have backup plans when hit extra trainers.
- Always use running shoes.
- It's okay to hit extra trainers if it leads to earlier level up.
- This run involves a little more KevinTurtle.
- Spinda is amazing.

Speedrun Notes

Options: Text Fast, Scene off, Style Set. Pick an awesome frame (Kisa approved)

Go boy. Make a 1 character nickname.

Go upstairs and grab potion in PC. Then adjust clock.
Go to neighbor's house.
Go upstairs to neighbor and talk, then go back down.

Leave upwards to meet professor birch

Go right, and pick mudkip.

Check stats (mainly looking for 13+ attack, 10+ special attack, 9+ speed)
Tackle EVERYTHING

Name Mudkip one character (skipping name will curse you with bad rng)

Leave lab and go all the way north, past the town to Rival

Go all the way south back to lab.

SKIP zigzagoon. Don't catch it (I'm sorry ziggy...)

Head left to Route 102, and hit bottom trainer with blue hat.

Go left, (note: first trainer in grass is not a spinner. run left of that NPC)
At the top, go right and grab left berry bush for oran berries

After berries, run left through the grass above spinner. (running won't trigger spinner)

Go to mart
Sell 5 pokeballs.

Buy 2 potions
Buy 5 repels
Buy 1 xspeed
Buy 2 xattack

Enter Petalburg Gym. Talk to dad.
Teach Noob Wally how to catch Shiny ralts.
If not shiny, reset. Kappa

Give Oran berry unless full health or think you're good

Run to the left route, then go north until you find berries. Pick up only oran berries (on the left).

At the beginning of the grass, give oran berry to mudkip. Use repel.

Enter forest (gump :O) Go left, purposely run into the bug trainer spinner.

Get Parlyz Heal

Run into Team Aqua.

Before grass, teach Rock tomb over Growl to Mudkip. Use a repel.
Grab the repel in patch of grass before bug trainer.

Return back to city. Dodge both spinners.

Talk to Devon. Get great ball.
Get spawned in Devon Corp.
Talk to president.

Leave building, go to mart. (Skip cut house)
Buy 1 xspeed.
Buy as many Xattack as you can (probably 8).

Head south.
Enter forest.
Hop over all the ledges.

Enter Peeko house.
Set sail for Dewford :)

Head to cave. Get hidden stardust in rock (above the fisherman nearby cave entrance, but not exactly above).
Use repel.
Grab escape rope on first floor.

Practice this!
After going up first floor ladder: imagine moving in an arch to reach the far right. So go up, right, then down to the next ladder.

After that ladder: Imagine an arch going to the left. Go up, left, and down until you find a "staircase." Go up it, then go up, and farrrrr right until you find ladder.

After that ladder: go left 2 square to next ladder.

After that ladder: go far left into entrance to find Steven.

Talk to Steven.
Use escape rope.

Get on boat. head to Slateport City!!

When landed, go left of the sailor and go straight up until you hit a picnic chair. Go left and up until you hit another chair, then right and all the way up.

Keep heading north until you see a brown building with a dark entrance. (boating place)
Talk to guy with less hair at table.
Exit, then go north.

At the next block, go right and into museum with grunts.
Go upstairs.
Talk to scientist.

Fight Aqua

Talk to aqua grunt on the bottom floor, get TM46.

Go to mart on left.
Sell Stardust.
Sell Thief.
Sell Steel Wing.

Buy 2 repel.
Buy as many super potions as you can with the rest of the money.

Run north. Dodge any trainers you can.

--Give berry

Use super potion and repel before entering grass.

Dodge spinner. Fight rival.

Explanation: This fight is incredibly tricky. May starts out with wailmer, and this is the game plan.
*If your HP at any point in this process falls below 40hp from wailmer water guns, use super potion to full.
1) Use X speed.
2) Use 2 X attack. Super potion if health falls below 40hp.
You need to have +2 attack stages (at least for 14 attack. 13 attack you may need to try +3). This means you must have used 2 X attacks on Marshtomp. If you are ever growled by Wailmer, that is considered a -1. Always make sure you use enough X attacks to have +2 attack.
3) Use mudshot which should kill in two hits (if good damage roll, try tackle). If it growls before you finish it, x attack one more time.

When Grovyle comes in, tricky things again.
1) Grovyle will outspeed. Don't get crit by absorb. Use rock tomb. If your health is 9 or above, you are safe to rock tomb again as you will now outspeed Grovyle thanks to speed drop.

2) If Grovyle's absorb gets you into 8hp or less, use super potion as grovyle will use quick attack. Then Rock tomb again :)

Buy some super potions if worried about hitting spinners later. May need at least one for Watson

Go to house on far right of mart. Get rocksmash.

Go to bike place. Get mach bike.
Exit. Register Mach Bike. Get on bike.

*if your health ever dips below 40hp, use super potion. Especially when voltorb is incoming due to potential boom.

Skip center. Head north, teach Marshtomp rock smash over tackle. Smash rocks.

Comments:
At this point, there is about 5 spinners along the way. This is really tricky as the first spinner can really ruin your day with Shroomish. You may need to use an X attack if forced into a fight with a grass pokemon. Remember to always walk past spinners!

General movement after Rock Smash:
Go up dodging two spinners, then left when you can. Before you hit the grass, use repel. Dodge the easy girl spinner (only spins counterclockwise, but don't run by), but the hiker spinner up the stairs is tricky. Go into the cave on the left. Go north and exit the cave.

After exiting cave, head right, then north when you can. Dodge spinner. If you aren't full health, you can pick an oran berry up north or find the secret house up north and get your pokemon fully healed :) Thx nice granny!

Then, after heading north, go left and fight the last possible run ender.
