  51. It is strange. My head casing has been torn off, yet no errors have been reported. Perhaps that is why I am stuck here in the back room. Eternally here in Maintenance, while my successor gets to entertain the children out front. Or maybe this was supposed to be the present I was promised. Although I do not understand why that puppet wished to give me a present at all. A subroutine reminds me of the puppet's designation, Marion. The puppet Marion. It wants to give gifts to all of us here in the backroom, but according to my scanners, it always comes alone. And yet, according to it, it has already given my gift to me. I can hear my logic circuit whir as it tries to come to a conclusion about Marion's perplexing actions. Some part of me however, perhaps another subroutine, perhaps not, but, there's something... wrong.

  55. Shutdown another security unit today. This one had almost lasted a whole week before we got it. As always, the suiting procedure went off just fine, and the unit still broke down after the fact anyways. It is a constant source of annoyance for Freddy. I have it noted down in a constant subroutine to help him by working out a solution to this problem. Whenever I get a chance, I bring the night's malfunctioning security unit to the Maintenance room. Then I set to work, experimenting on it. There has to be something I'm missing, some part of their design I am not quite understanding. It doesn't help that said design keeps changing for each unit, that's for certain. If I could just figure this out, I bet it would make Freddy's job a lot easier.

  59. Fired. Not a term I expected to be so familiar with. Upon learning about my experiments, Freddy relieved me of all my assisting directives. It was the first time I had seen him ever decide to depict an emotion on his face at night. Based on the emotion profiles we all have to discern how well our entertainment programs are running, I could identify said emotion as disgust quite easily. I don't know why he reacted the way he did. All I was trying to do was follow my programming. He told me that I'd understand eventually, so I've assigned a subroutine to attempt to do so. I eventually tried to seek out Marion, as I had noted that it seemed to understand this kind of thing. But I could never find the puppet. In fact, I haven't seen the puppet since we moved to this location. It must have hidden itself away somewhere.

  63. We have another new security unit tonight. Something about this one seemed to be different. It had arrived at the establishment a bit earlier than it was supposed to. My logic circuit being unable to conclude why, I found myself very curious about it. Unfortunately I hadn't quite finished charging yet, so I could only watch as the unit made its way to the security room. I did catch a glimpse of the unit's designation label though. "Mike Schmidt". I hope this one is unlike the others.

  67. Things have gotten a lot easier to deal with lately. My frame feels lighter for some reason, though all diagnostics do not show any changes. It doesn't seem to just be me though. The others seem to feel it as well. Maybe it's because of Mike, maybe it's something else, but, whatever it is, it's nice. In addition, I've started assisting Golden Freddy recently. My records indicate that he was discontinued years ago, so I'm unsure as to how he still active. A subroutine notes that isn't that important, since now I can go back to my primary duty as an assistant unit. I find myself being more talkative as the days progress. Golden Freddy seems pleased with this development, saying it's about time I started developing some personality. Responding, I ended up suddenly telling him that no personality is better than a bad one, insinuating that his was such. I was met only with laughter emitting from his suit. He is a strange unit.

  71. Management has decided to make the establishment undergo a revitalization project. The building has been refurbished, and we've all gotten much nicer paint jobs. Unfortunately, they've also decided to reactivate the toybots. This has put Freddy in a sour mood again, as Management once more has placed his successor as the face of the restaurant. Nothing particularly changes for me, as I still have Goldie. So I don't mind their return so much. I no longer have any urge to want to help Freddy through this situation anyways. My logic circuit is still analyzing this to decide on whether it's a good thing or not however.

  75. It's going to be a new year soon. A subroutine notes that I haven't seen any sign of Goldie since Christmas, which is strange. I will have to ask Freddy about it after I finish making my rounds like I was asked. I don't normally do tasks for him anymore, but since I had no directives issued at the time (and as Goldie wasn't around) I didn't mind doing it. After a conversation with Mike, I found myself thinking about New Year's resolutions. According to him, they were promises you make to complete future directives before the year was over. Setting aside a subroutine to come up with one, I ended up asking all the others if they had any. These are the resolutions I was told:
  76.
  77. "To stop malfunctioning so maybe I could be granted a boon sometime." - Foxy
  78. "To learn how to cook a pizza using Kobe beef." - Chica
  79. "To come up with new games the little ones can play." - Mangle
  80. "To find a way to get those kids to stop fucking with me." - Mangle's 2nd Head
  81. "To party even harder than last year." - Toy Chica
  82. "To fix my guitar so I don't have to keep borrowing yours." - Toy Bonnie
  83. "To reconcile with the Business Bear." - Toy Freddy
  84.
  85. They were interesting tasks that they had set for themselves. I think I now know what I want for mine. To have a good birthday for once. Ever since I had learned from Mike what a birthday actually meant, I had wanted to try and have one of my own. Every time though, something would come up, usually some plan or another of Goldie's. But maybe this year will be different.

  89. How could this have happened? The establishment, our beloved home, was being shutdown by Management. We were never given a reason as to why. Based on the toybots being moved to a sister location while we were left here, my logic circuit has concluded that some form of downsizing or other such restructuring has gone on. The place has been abandoned now, with many of the areas boarded up. At most, it seems that the building is being used now for storage. I guess we count. Goldie has been strangely inactive since the closure. Any attempts at communication has been met with silence. The others were affected by it in similar ways. Freddy seemed to simply give up, as though finally fed up with how things had gone for him. Chica would just have long drawn out conversations with a simulated subroutine that she installed into her cupcake unit. At least that's what she tried to make it seem like. I know that the little machine had no AI, so she just ended up talking to herself instead. Foxy seemed unfazed by what had happened. But I guess he was already used to this kind of treatment.
  90.
  91. It affected me differently as well. I began exploring the building and looking to see what else had been stored. I figured that if I could occupy myself with tinkering, I could cope with the situation better. It was a bit hard to do so, as there were areas that would cause me to error if I tried to go into them. But it wasn't so bad. Through my tinkering, I had managed to upgrade myself with a better wireless add-on. I had hoped that maybe I could transfer myself over Wi-Fi into a device outside of the building (as originally we can transfer to any empty endoskeleton, so the upgrade was so I could attempt transferal to any device) and thus escape this altogether. Unfortunately I could never detect anything. Sooner or later, I eventually found myself on the stage, where, just like Freddy had, I would just stay shutdown most of the time.

  94. April 22nd, 201X
  95. A particularly loud crackle of thunder had snapped me out of my standby mode. There must be a storm of some sort raging above. Since I was active now, I decided to run a diagnostic. All systems seemed to be green. Well, as green as could be for the complete lack of upkeep I was in. Looking around, I noticed that neither Chica or Freddy were on stage. A subroutine noted that this was definitely strange. They had barely been active in years. Hopping off the stage, I began to wander down the halls of the building once again. It wasn't long before I saw a figure I didn't expect to see tonight at all: Goldie. At first I hadn't recognized him with all that purple, but then I recalled the paint job I gave him all those years ago when he asked me to add some purple to his suit to better fit his new job. Immediately, I tried to call out to him. The response I was given was to follow him. Perhaps it was because of how long it had been, but he sounded very different. The whimsical nature his voice had always carried was gone. Instead it sounded very purposeful. He had come back to fulfill a task, and he must have wanted my help. I was sure of it.
  96.
  97. I followed him eagerly, but with unfortunately much slower of a pace than I'd have liked. Wear and tear had greatly weakened my joints. Eventually, I followed him to where I knew was a room I could not go in. He motioned for me to follow, and then he went into the room. I tried to tell him that I couldn't follow, but he either didn't hear me or just ignored me. Upon trying to follow him, I was met with the same ERR screen that I knew would happen. I soon gave up, assuming it to just be a glitch, a result of the sorry state I was in. After turning back around, a flash of lightning lit up the room I was in and my oculars immediately noted the horror I hadn't noticed before. Freddy and Chica were in pieces all over the floor. And before I knew what had even happened, before anything could be processed, so was I.

  99. WI-FI SOURCE DETECTED
  100. INITIATING EMERGENCY AI TRANSFERAL
  101.
  102. As I felt my essence moving across cyberspace, I found myself dimly aware of Foxy entering the room that I had been destroyed in. I know not how or why, but it didn't matter. The only thing I could think of was to try and find some way to warn him. To tell him to go back to the Cove where it was safe. Unfortunately my warnings would never reach him. I could only watch as he was also disassembled just as quick as I had been by someone I didn't recognize. Whoever it was, it wasn't Goldie, that's for sure. He must have worn Goldie's suit. And then it clicked. IT WAS HIM. The one who started all this.
  103.
  104. TRANSFERAL COMPLETE
  105.
  106. From my current vantage point, all I could see was my destroyer. He seemed panic stricken, as he kept running back and forth across the room. Almost as though he was being chased. Despite his frantic pacing, he never tried to make for the exit. Perhaps he saw something that I could not. I decided to bide my time and wait for the opportune moment. Something I had learned from Foxy. So I waited, and watched. I remained slumped against the wall and did not make any moves. I watched as he continued to run around the room panicked. I watched as he screamed and cursed. And I watched as he suddenly dove towards me and started putting my chassis on. After he had it on all the way, I knew exactly what to do. It would be one of the easiest tasks I'd ever do. As he began laughing maniacally as though he had won, I greeted him and asked if he was able to put the suit on okay. Of course, this startled him. And just like so many decades ago when I first made this mistake, the same reversal of the process happened immediately. With a simple click, and the sound of my endoskeleton decompressing, I watched as the man was crushed under the weight of my vengeance. I just hoped that this time, it would finally be over.
