- [15:34] <~Reverie> [The door that Proverb has led Spirit and Yedis through has lead to a cold, damp metro tunnel, the walls are a dull shade of concrete grey and there is scattered trash and debris in some places. However a series of lights above them in the cylindrical tunnel offer a decent amount of light. Along the walls various cables and lines run suspended on hooks. Some cobwebs are here and there, and perhaps the lone mushroom.]
- [15:36] * Yedis has remained mostly silent, not used to being seperated from the griffin and unicorn she typically travels with, as well as still getting used to being a mutant.
- [15:37] * Spirit looks around, wincing a little at the state of the tunnel, she whispers, "Creepy."
- [15:37] * Proverb trots forward, leading the two down the tunnel. "Okay, so, uhm, when we get to the end of the tunnel, the, the lights will go off, and when they come back on, we'll be surrounded by soldiers. Whatever you do, don't attack them, and do what they say."
- [15:39] * Yedis nods "I... don't see light very well, as much as heat. So I should be fine. Then again if you can hide your heat i'm pretty much blind."
- [15:39] * Spirit nods, still looking around.
- [15:40] <Yedis> "So... why were you so willing to help me fix crescent?"
- [15:41] <~Reverie> [As the group progresses the state of the tunnels improves, they are less derelict looking and soon enough they approach a massive metal door that blocks the path further to wherever the tunnel leads, around them are piles of comcrete rubble and debris, a single door is off the the right but is also closed shut.]
- [15:41] * Proverb stops. "Okay. Three, two, one..."
- [15:42] <~Reverie> [As Proverb speaks the lights shut off. And all manners of soft movement can be heard around them. Soon enough they are surrounded by ten sets og lowing eyepieces and weapons can be heard cocking. However the lights do not go back on.]
- [15:43] * Yedis stands completely still, staring straight ahead as though she cannot see them. "So... this is where the lights come back on, right?" She whispers
- [15:43] * Proverb eeps quietly. "...that's not good."
- [15:44] * Spirit squeaks, "Uh..."
- [15:45] * Yedis slowly moves a hoof towards the 9mm she was given
- [15:48] <~Reverie> [In about ten seconds a shotlight above the Airlock Door flickers to life, blinding Proverb, Spirit, and Yedis. A figure near them calls out. "All of you! On the ground! Now! You have ten seconds to comply!" In a rather metallic voice.]
- [15:48] <~Reverie> *Spotlight
- [15:49] * Yedis flings herself to the ground, covering her head with her forelegs
- [15:49] * Proverb quite literally falls backwards onto the ground with a squeak.
- [15:49] * Spirit drops to the ground, curling up. She yelps.
- [15:50] <~Reverie> [The spotlight remains on, but the rest of the lights flicker back to life as well. They are indeed surrounded by ten soldiers in blackout combat armor and fatigues.]
- [15:51] * Yedis moves one foreleg to look at the soldiers
- [15:52] * Proverb is on her back, hooves in the air.
- [15:53] * Spirit peeks out from her ball, looking at the solders.
- [15:55] <~Reverie> [One of the soldiers moves forward, looking at the assembled group. "The hell is this?"
- [15:55] <~Reverie> ]
- [15:56] * Proverb meeps, her hooves flailing pathetically in the air.
- [15:57] <Yedis> "My name is Yedis." She says in a level tone. "Proverb brought me here."
- [15:57] * Spirit uncurls and looks at the solder, "We're looking for something to repair a rifle."
- [15:58] <~Reverie> [Some of the soldiers look at each other, the lizard pony honestly surprised them. But it wasn't that, it was the other two pegasus. The same soldier speaks, likely the post commander. "Sound off, corporal."]
- [15:59] * Proverb nods, rolling onto her side. "Y-y-y-yeah. I, I, agreed t-t-to h-help Yedis h-here f-f-fix her r-rifle."
- [16:00] <~Reverie> [The soldier seems unsure, this was sort of not common, being that it was a soldier, a lizard, and an Enclaver about to waltz into the capital. "I... ugh... call the station commodant, he needs to clear this. You three can stand... just don't make any sudden movements."]
- [16:01] <&Proverb> "Y-Yessir." She gets shakily to her hooves, staring at the ground.
- [16:01] * Yedis gets up and examines the soldiers, trying to see what weapons and armor they carry.
- [16:02] * Spirit stands, looking around for a good place to vanish to.
- [16:03] <~Reverie> [To Yedis she can see well kept combat armor and high grade military gear, their faces are concealed by armored helmets with lightly glowing eyepieces. Soon enough the side door next to the massive metal airlock opens and a large earth pony stallion wearing a grey longcoat and ushanka walks through. Trotting quickly over.]
- [16:05] * Proverb sighs, scuffing at the floor with a hoof.
- [16:06] * Yedis does her best not to tremble at the sheer amount of power that has come to bear against her
- [16:06] * Spirit takes a step closer to Proverb, intimidated by the heavily armored ponies.
- [16:06] * Reverie blinks at the group. "Proverb? What is going on here?"
- [16:09] * Proverb 's ears perk. "W-Willpower?" She looks up. "Uhm, well, Y-Yedis here's r-r-rife is broken, and, and I s-saind I'd h-help her f-f-fix it..."
- [16:09] * Yedis nods
- [16:11] * Reverie smiles. "Well alright... I will allow this... sorry for all this. But it is needed." he looks to the soldiers. "Stand down."
- [16:12] * Yedis relaxes, lowering her head to try and blend in, and failing horribly.
- [16:13] * Proverb nods. "Th-thanks Willpower." The airlock rumbles open as the soldiers receed back into wherever they had come from. Proverb leads Spirit and Yedis through, into the base.
- [16:13] * Spirit sighs, visibly relaxing while following Proverb.
- [16:15] <Yedis> "what was that all about?"
- [16:15] <&Proverb> The airlock leads to a trainyard platform, where there's a fair amount of soldiers milling about. Several give Yedis odd looks.
- [16:16] * Proverb looks back at Yedis. "Oh, uhm, they, they didn't know what you were, I suppose..."
- [16:18] <Yedis> "Then why didn't they just shoot me?" She asks, without a hint of sarcasm.
- [16:18] <&Proverb> "Because you weren't hostile."
- [16:19] <Spirit> "They probably aren't bad ponies. Just careful."
- [16:19] * Proverb nods. "What Spirit said."
- [16:20] <Yedis> "oh... well thats nice of them." She says, looking around curiously at the new place she has come to. (underground?)
- [16:21] <&Proverb> You are indeed underground. The area is a large Metro station, stairs to your right leading up to a foyer above.
- [16:22] * Yedis smiles, feeling a bit better under something solid
- [16:28] * Spirit looks around. She ruffles her wings
- [16:42] * Proverb leads the two up said staircase, up into a foyer that rang the length of the station. Off to the right was another large steel door leading to the Military Sector, and off to the left was the market. Proverb heads towards the doors.
- [16:43] * Yedis followed quickly, trying to stick to the walls.
- [16:43] * Spirit follows Proverb
- [16:44] * Proverb fishes an ID card out of a pocket, swiping it in a pad next to the door. It slides open, and she trots through. "Okay... now I have no idea where I'm going..." She mumbles.
- [16:45] * Spirit steps up next to Proverb, "So where do we go?"
- [16:45] <&Proverb> The Military Sector is a confusing mass of randomly placed hallways and dead ends. Like a giant maze.
- [16:46] <Yedis> "As long as we stick to main passageways we should be fine, right?"
- [16:46] * Proverb looks between several hallways. "Ther, there are no main passageways in here..."
- [16:46] <Spirit> "Are we just going to wander until we find where we need to go?"
- [16:46] <&Proverb> "I get lost trying to find my room..."
- [16:47] * Yedis sighs and picks a direction to start walking
- [16:47] * Proverb scampers after her.
- [16:48] * Spirit follows behind Proverb
- [16:52] <&Proverb> The hallway Yedis leads them down takes a meandering path, seeming to go nowhere, but eventually intersects with another hallway, which had a blue arrow painted on the floor that said 'ARMORY', and was pointing to left.
- [16:53] * Spirit blinks, "Armory."
- [16:53] <Yedis> "excellent!" Yedis chirps, trotting towards the armory with a bounce in her step
- [16:54] <&Proverb> "Huh, well, that worked out."
- [16:54] * Spirit nods, "Lucky. Let's go."
- [16:55] <&Proverb> The hallway didn't lead straight there, of course. After a little bit, it branched off in three different directions.
- [16:56] * Yedis picks the middle one
- [16:56] * Spirit looks for an armory indicator.
- [16:57] <&Proverb> There's no more arrows painted on the floor, but the middle path does look promising, that is, until it dead-ended.
- [16:58] <Yedis> "aw... crud." She mumbles, kicking the wall
- [16:58] <Spirit> "Do they hide the armory, Proverb?"
- [16:58] <&Proverb> The wall reverberates with a CLANG
- [16:58] * Yedis jumps back in surprise
- [16:58] * Proverb shakes her head. "I, I don't think so..."
- [17:00] <&Proverb> The sound fades away into silence. One of you might be able to hear a very distant howling coming from somewhere. [PER 8]
- [17:01] * Spirit shrugs, "Back to another path."
- [17:02] * Yedis kicks the wall again
- [17:02] * Proverb 's ears perk, detecting the howl. She nods rapidly. "Y-yeah."
- [17:02] <&Proverb> The wall reverberates with a CLANG again.
- [17:03] * Yedis tries to pry the wall open
- [17:04] <&Proverb> The wall isn't going anywhere [STR 8]
- [17:05] <Yedis> "huh..." Yedis turns to start back towards the intersection
- [17:05] <&Proverb> It's a wall silly. :P
- [17:05] * Spirit follows Yedis, "I suggest the left path."
- [17:05] * Proverb nods, following Yedis back towards the intersection.
- [17:07] * Yedis takes the right which was the left when coming from the other direction.
- [17:14] <&Proverb> The left path meanders slowly downward. It doesn't end like the other, but it doesn't seem like it's going to for awhile either.
- [17:16] <Spirit> "Should I go see the other path?"
- [17:18] <&Proverb> "Uhh, if you want to, I suppose..."
- [17:20] * Spirit nods, "I'll be quick." She dashes back to the fork and looks down the last path.
- [17:21] * Yedis waits, hanging her head in shame of taking the wrong path twice
- [17:21] <&Proverb> The last path goes straight, before taking a sharp left turn.
- [17:23] * Spirit heads down the path, carefully looking around.
- [17:24] <&Proverb> Around the corner is a flight of stairs down, ending at an elevator.
- [17:25] * Spirit dashes back to Proverb and Yedis, "There's an elevator down the other path."
- [17:25] * Proverb nods. "Let's got that way then."
- [17:25] * Yedis nods and checks her loaned pistol for jams, clearing and loading it before following.
- [17:27] * Spirit leads Proverb and Yedis to the Elevator.
- [17:28] * Proverb swipes her ID card in the pad next to it. The elevator dings, and the doors rumble open.
- [17:28] * Yedis is worried about getting into it, but jumps in anyway.
- [17:28] * Spirit hops in.
- [17:29] * Proverb trots in last, the doors closing behind her. She looks at the row of buttons. "Uhm... I don't know which one..."
- [17:30] <&Proverb> The buttons are labeled 1 to 18, then R1 and R2.
- [17:31] * Yedis hits one at random
- [17:31] * Spirit looks at Proverb and smiles, "Well, when in Roam..." She hits the rest of the buttons.
- [17:31] <&Proverb> The elevator didn't like you doing that, and buzzes angrily.
- [17:32] * Spirit frowns, "Well."
- [17:32] <&Proverb> All of the buttons go dark again too.
- [17:32] * Yedis hits 3
- [17:33] <&Proverb> You're already on 3, so nothing happens. :P
- [17:33] <Spirit> "It's probably in the basement."
- [17:34] * Yedis hits 2
- [17:34] <&Proverb> The elevator dings, and begins rumbling upwards.
- [17:36] <Yedis> "oooh it's moving." she says, pleased.
- [17:37] * Spirit nods, and her wings ruffle again.
- [17:38] <&Proverb> The elevator dings again a few seconds later, the doors shunting open to reveal a hangar with 10 Vertibucks sitting around inside, a couple of pegasi, presumably pilots, milling around, while another was beneath one of the Verts, welding something.
- [17:38] <Yedis> "oooh..."
- [17:38] * Spirit blinks, "Not the right area."
- [17:39] <&Proverb> "N-no, this is the hangar..."
- [17:39] * Yedis hits 4
- [17:40] <&Proverb> The doors shut, and the elevator rumbles downwards. When the doors open again, you find yourself on the station platform you entered at.
- [17:41] <Yedis> "Oh... um..." she hits 14
- [17:42] <&Proverb> The elevator doors close again, and it lurches downward, really picking up speed this time.
- [17:44] <Spirit> "What is this place so big?"
- [17:46] <&Proverb> The elevator slows, dinging as the doors shunt open, revealing a big room filled with... nothing. A plate on the doorframe labeled it as '16: LONG-TERM STORAGE'
- [17:46] <Yedis> ".... I dunno. your turn."
- [17:46] <&Proverb> errr, 14*
- [17:47] * Spirit hits 1
- [17:48] <&Proverb> The elevator closes, and zooms upwards again.
- [17:48] <&Proverb> "Uhm, Spirit, 1 isn't going to be the armory..."
- [17:50] <Spirit> "Well, if four was a Vertibuck station... who am I kidding, I have no idea where I'm going..."
- [17:51] <&Proverb> The elevator stops, doors opening to a small room. There was a door ahead with a sign over it that read: 'SURFACE: MASKS ON BEYOND THIS POINT'
- [17:52] * Spirit blinks, "Okay." She hits 16.
- [17:54] <&Proverb> Back down they go! This time when the elevator stops, the doors open to reveal a large room, this one lined with rows of shelves, boxes and other things stacked high on them.
- [17:55] <Spirit> "Storage."
- [17:56] * Yedis closes her eyes and hits one at random
- [18:08] <&Proverb> Yedis's hoof lands on 10, the doors shunting closed and the elevator rising once again. When they open, you find what you've been after, kind of. It's not the armory, but there's boxes upon boxes of spare gun parts and ammo on shelves.
- [18:08] <Yedis> "Yay!" She quickly runs out of the elevator.
- [18:09] * Proverb trots out after her, gazing around.
- [18:10] <&Proverb> There a couple other ponies milling around in the room, looking for parts of their own.
- [18:11] * Yedis starts hunting for .50 cal parts
- [18:13] <&Proverb> There's plenty to be had. Yedis would be to easily locate a replacement reciever for her rifle.
- [18:14] * Yedis grabs a receiver, a pickup mechanism, and checks to see if they have a spare scope. The stock and the barrel were the only things that had survived the submersion mostly unscathed.
- [18:16] * Yedis starts replacing the parts right there in the store, putting the damaged ones back so they can attempt to repair them.
- [18:16] * Spirit looks around, facinated at the stockpiles more than the actual items.
- [18:17] * Proverb stands next to Spirit. She nuzzles her lightly.
- [18:17] * Spirit looks at Proverb and nuzzles back, "What do you think?"
- [18:18] <&Proverb> "Of what?"
- [18:18] <Spirit> "The mutant."
- [18:19] * Yedis is checking the action, racking the mechanism happily as she adds oil and adjusts the trim.
- [18:19] <&Proverb> "Oh, well, she seems nice..."
- [18:21] * Yedis has grabbed a cleaning kit and is scraping out the barrel to check it for rust spots, while polishing the rest of the gun with the glee of a child with a full meal on hearths warming
- [18:23] * Spirit nods, "Seems so. I'm not really used to the wasteland like this."
- [18:23] * Proverb nods, sighing and resting her head on Spirit's shoulder. "It's rough."
- [18:26] <Spirit> "I'd like to help ponies out here."
- [18:27] <&Proverb> "You could talk to Captain Blackout about it."
- [18:27] <Spirit> "I mean in the wastelands in general."
- [18:27] * Yedis has found a chisel and is eyeing the receiver with it in hoof
- [18:28] <&Proverb> "Oh, well, that's a bit harder..." She sighs, nuzzling Spirit's cheek. "And dangerous."
- [18:28] * Yedis starts carving something into the side fo the gun
- [18:29] * Spirit presses her cheek on Proverb's, "But you do all the time."
- [18:31] * Yedis brings the gun to her. "Hey, look!" she says happily, showing them "crescent" with a little moon next to it.
- [18:32] * Spirit looks at the gun, "ooh, shiny."
- [18:32] <&Proverb> "And I've gotten hurt, /really/ hurt doing it." She looks over at Yedis, smiling. "That's nice!"
- [18:33] <Yedis> "Yeah..." she hugs the gun like a doll
- [18:34] * Proverb giggles, standing back up. "Shall we head back then?"
- [18:34] <Yedis> "Yeah, whatever you two wanna do."
- [18:37] * Spirit stands, "Maybe a good idea, I'd be up for exploring too."
- [18:37] <Yedis> "Yeah I don't need to be anywhere."
- [18:37] * Proverb nods. "Uhm, can I have my pistol back too Yedis?"
- [18:37] * Yedis passes back the 9mm
- [18:39] <&Proverb> It's actually a Colt M1911 chambered in .45 ACP, because 9 mms don't have enough stopping power.
- [18:40] <&Proverb> But whatever
- [18:41] * Proverb takes the pistol back, slipping it back into its holster.
- [18:41] * Proverb turns back to the elevator, brushing against Spirit. "Let's get going then."
- [18:43] <Yedis> (lol sorry)
- [18:44] * Yedis follows them to the elevator
- [18:47] <&Proverb> The buttons are 1-18, R, and U, in that order.
- [18:48] <Yedis> "Shouldn't we go back to 1 to get out?"
- [18:48] * Spirit follows into the Elevator, "That leads up top. Didn't we come in through the sewer."
- [18:48] * Proverb shakes her head. "We came in through the Airlock. that's on 4."
- [18:49] <Yedis> "Oh... So which one should we use?" She asks, looking over the buttons closely.
- [18:51] * Proverb shrugs. "Well, 1 is the surface, 2 is the hangars, 3 is the foyer, and 4 is the platform."
- [18:52] <Yedis> "We could steal a vertibird!" Yedis said, giggling
- [18:52] <Spirit> "I don't think they'd appreciate it."
- [18:52] * Proverb giggles. "Do you know how to fly one even?"
- [18:53] <Yedis> "No, but it's just a bunch of buttons, I'm good at buttons." She said, randomly hitting one. (Activating "I dont know what went wrong")
- [18:54] <&Proverb> The button that Yedis hits is U. The elevator dings, and shoots downwards.
- [18:55] <Yedis> "what the..."
- [18:57] <&Proverb> The elevator slows after a good 10 seconds, coming to a halt with an unplesant screech. The lights then go off.
- [18:57] * Spirit blinks, "Huh?"
- [18:57] <&Proverb> "Wh-what button did you hit!"
- [18:58] <Yedis> "Um... The letter one? looks like a cup."
- [18:58] <&Proverb> "'U'? That's, that's Utility level." She sounds paniced.
- [18:59] <Yedis> "It's very dark." She whispered, poking her head out the door.
- [19:00] <Spirit> "That doesn't sound good..."
- [19:00] <&Proverb> The doors haven't opened.
- [19:01] <Yedis> (oh, knocking on the door)
- [19:02] <&Proverb> "It isn't good! This level hasn't been secured yet!" She looks at the doors. "And I think we, uhh, broke something vital on the elevator."
- [19:02] <Yedis> Yedis tried pushing hard against the door. "I want out!"
- [19:02] * Spirit squeaks and draws her pistol
- [19:03] <&Proverb> "Yedis, help me pull the doors apart." She grabs one of the doors with her hooves.
- [19:03] * Yedis grabs the other and strains to try and pull it open
- [19:04] <&Proverb> The doors lurch open, just enough for everyone to fit through one at a time.
- [19:06] * Yedis scoots out of the narrow opening
- [19:06] * Spirit squeezes through and ducks into the shadow (stealth, 40)
- [19:09] * Proverb tumbles out last, the doors slamming shut behind her.
- [19:10] <&Proverb> The utility tunnel is almost completely unlit, save for the occasional flickering light. The floor is cracked and jagged, and the air is musty.
- [19:11] <Yedis> "I dont know what went wrong..." Yedis whimpers, looking back on the derelict door.

- [19:29] * Proverb unslings her VKS, racking the bolt back. "Just, stay behind me..."
- [19:30] <~Blackout> [The immediate area around them is mostly quiet, except for the scampering of a few mice.]
- [19:32] * Proverb switches on the attatched flashlight, dropping into a low, defensive stance. "And stay quiet." She began advancing slowly.
- [19:32] * Yedis sits on her prehensile tail to steady herself as she loads her rifle, waiting back so the other two can go ahead. "Any chance we can fix the elevator?" She whispers.
- [19:33] <&Proverb> "Might be able to restore the power." Provy whispers back.
- [19:33] * Spirit sneaks alongside, remaining quiet.
- [19:34] * Yedis inspects the control panel
- [19:35] * Proverb looks for something to take up a devensive position behind.
- [19:35] <~Blackout> [Quiet? Not really, a small red box on the wall adjacent to them starts to ring, likely a built in comm system between the levels of the facility. Regarding the control panel, whatever was done is done, it was take a tech genius to fix whatever had wrecked the elevator.]
- [19:36] * Yedis looks at the red box as though it were a monster. "Answer it!" She hissed to spirit.
- [19:39] * Spirit picks up the phone and listens into it.
- [19:39] <~Blackout> [A voice answers. "Yes... who the ever loving fuck is down there?"]
- [19:40] <Spirit> "An accidental expeditionary team. The elevator broke."
- [19:51] <~Blackout> [The comm is silent... "Put the corporal... on the line... and stay quiet if you can..."]
- [19:52] * Spirit holds the phone out to Proverb.
- [19:52] * Proverb takes it. She's shaking. "Y-y-y-yes, s-sir?"
- [19:53] <~Blackout> [The comm doesn't make clear wo is speaking. "Corporal... there are security forces heading down to retrieve you three, but we have to drop eleven levels and you broke the only elevator that goes directly to utility..."]
- [19:54] <&Proverb> "R-Roger. Sh-should we h-h-hold position?"
- [19:55] <~Blackout> [Somewhere somepony is facehooving. "Oh no, go get lost in the utility level with the monsters and ghouls. Command out." the line goes dead.]
- [19:56] * Yedis is hugging her rifle and pointedly keeping her eye on the dark area beyond their view.
- [19:57] * Proverb very slowly hangs up the phone. She trots over to the side of the tunnel, taking a position behind a pile of rubble. She aims her VKS down the tunnel, activating the NV on its scope, and waits.
- [19:57] <~Blackout> [The utility level spans the entire underbelly of the base above and more, some areas actually lead out to the metro tunnels, whether they be air ducts or utility entrances. This at the same time allows all sorts of nasties in as well. Scampering and skittering can be heard further away from their position.]

- [20:19] * Yedis keeps her rifle ready, with a steady grip
- [20:20] * Proverb can't really see Spirit, but she does know that sound. "Spirit, get behind me." She says, not knowing where she is.
- [20:21] * Yedis thinks she sees something and, with a nervous squeak, fires a round down the hallway.
- [20:22] * Proverb yelps.
- [20:22] * Spirit gets behind Proverb.
- [20:22] <&Proverb> "Hold your fire!"
- [20:22] <~Blackout> [The round fired impacts whatever the hell it was, but it scampers into the shadows, except the sound from the round echo in the hallways, and unequine howl of anger is the response.]
- [20:23] * Yedis throws her safety on, looking to proverb with wide eyes.
- [20:25] * Proverb remains kneeling behind her pile of rubble, her eye glued to her scope. "Wait for me to start shooting." She says, loud enough for Yedis to hear.
- [20:25] <Yedis> "Okay, sorry." She whispers back.
- [20:28] <~Blackout> [The roar dies down, and quite a bit of movement can be heard, all headed towards them.]
- [20:28] * Spirit peeks out from behind Proverb and aims
- [20:30] * Proverb remains perfectly still, waiting for the first target to come into view.
- [20:30] <~Blackout> [Soon enough large creatures without mane and coats come barreling down on them, they look all sorts of messed up and monstrous for what might once have been a pony. These particular ones have a black plating over them that gleams in light.]
- [20:32] * Yedis fires twice before the recently repaired rifle jams and she falls back with a curse to try and force in the next round
- [20:32] * Proverb lines up a shot on the first one, aiming for the head, her VKS cracking. He hoof works the bolt, the spent casing flying out and pining off the ground.
- [20:34] <~Blackout> [Provy's round impacts the target and it falls down, but there is a horde behind it, and it is easily overtaken by the others rushing down the hall at them, snarling and growling as they go. Yedis shots are true, and are sure to have hit something in the horde.]
- [20:36] * Spirit squeaks, biting down on her gun's trigger, firing a shot.
- [20:36] * Proverb fires over and over, quickly expending the 5 round mag in her VKS. She drops it, slamming in a fresh one and snapping the bolt forward.
- [20:37] <Yedis> Yedis finally gets the next round in and fires three more shots into the incoming crowd, and then drops the expended rifle.
- [20:38] <~Blackout> [Proverb is doing a great job of wiping out targets but the sheer amount is well... overwhelming. Yedis has the same effect based on the large caliber rounds. But Spirit is carrying a .45, which is decent, but not against the armored ones as there are before them. Very ucommon.]
- [20:39] * Blackout is now known as Reverie
- [20:40] * Proverb empties her next mag as well, but it just wasn't enough. "Fuck!" She stands. "Get back near the elevator, I'll try and hold 'em!" She unslings her SVD, and opens up, the semi-auto being much more practical in this situation.
- [20:40] * Yedis bares her sharp teeth and bucks the first one that reaches her. (Yup, bucked.)
- [20:41] * Spirit fires the rest of her clip into the crowd, looking on in fear.
- [20:43] <~Reverie> [These monsters are much larger than the average pony. Yedis takes an unwanted trip airborn from the colliding monster, but it does lose balance and fall over. Spirit stops a few but not for long, Proverb's rifle tears holes in two or three at a time, but there are so damn many. Fubar.]
- [20:43] <&Proverb> "Die motherfuckers!" She screams, taking a few steps back, and empying another clip into the oncoming horde, dropping it, and slamming in a fresh one.
- [20:44] * Yedis hits the wall but gets up quickly thanks to her mutant resiliance. With two bounds she covers the distance and slams into the nearest one, trying to rip its throat out.
- [20:45] * Spirit reloads her gun, and fires rapidly into the crowd. She whimpers.
- [20:46] * Proverb is standing more or less in front of Spirit, trying to protect the mare. She's up on her hind hooves, spent brass flying from her SVD as she screamed profanities at the monsters.
- [20:47] <~Reverie> [The fire is impressive, but futile, three mares look to be a tasty meal to the horde that lived down here. And Proverb might be first on the menue in a matter of seconds.]
- [20:48] * Proverb turns, bucking the nearest one in the face before swinging her SVD around and craking it over the head.
- [20:49] * Yedis is thrown back again and goes about reloading her magazine
- [20:51] <~Reverie> [A roar can be heard behind the oncoming horde, but it isn't that of a creature, a bright glow can be seen over the advancing horde. Whatever it is the monsters a faultering from it.]
- [20:54] * Yedis finishes loading her magazine but holds her fire, instead using it to back them away from proverb and spirit
- [20:54] * Proverb leaps into the air, whirling around and putting 3 rounds into the back of one of the monster's head as it charged Spirit, only to be tackles from behind by another. Her SVD clatters to the floor somewhere nearby. She twists, jamming the barrel of her M1911 into its face and emptying the clip into it.
- [20:55] * Spirit squeaks and backs further to the elevator, and fires at the monster who tackled Proverb.
- [21:00] <~Reverie> [Proverb's effort is valiant, but misplaced, she is now in the middle of the fray.]
- [21:01] * Proverb disappears beneath the horde.
- [21:01] * Yedis does her best to aim away from the incoming lights, but fires five more shots into the group just above pony height.
- [21:02] * Spirit yelps, "Proverb!" She dashes into the horde in hope of extracting Proverb.
- [21:02] <~Reverie> [Just as it seems they are very shit out of luck, a glowing and heat can be felt from behind the horde, and the monsters are seeming to start to panic, flitting about down other hallways and such trying to escape whatever it was.]
- [21:06] * Yedis looks to the heat hopefully, while loading another magazine
- [21:06] * Spirit focuses on getting Proverb out of harm's way.
- [21:07] * Proverb is nowhere to be found.
- [21:07] <~Reverie> [The monsters seem a lot less interested in a meal now as in instead fleeing from what can be now seen as an oncoming wall of flame, burning a path through the monsters.]
- [21:08] * Spirit squeaks at the wall, and backs away, "Proverb!!"
- [21:12] <~Reverie> [As the last standing moster flees the wall of fire ceases, behind it are two obscured figures in thick full body suits carrying flamers on their back, flashlights illumunating the smoldering remains.]
- [21:15] <&Proverb> There's a small pile of three of the monsters in the center of the tunnel. One had a combat knife protruding from its face, and the other had been shot a lot. A smoking M1911 lay on the floor nearby, slide locked back. From the center of the pile, a black hoof poked up, grabbing at the knife.
- [21:16] <~Reverie> [The two ponies with flamers and heavy suits continue forward, and are soon joined by five other ponies like the ones from the airlock in the beginning, at the front is a certain pony who appears to be dressed as an officer.]
- [21:17] * Yedis starts pulling the dead ones off proverb, to try and free the pony.
- [21:17] * Spirit lands and looks at the flamer ponies, "Thank you..." She scans the pile, and starts to help when she sees Yedis moving the corpses.
- [21:17] * Proverb pulled herself out from the center of the pile, yanking her knife out of the monster's face. She stands, only to immediately collapse on her side.
- [21:20] * Spirit moves over to help Proverb stand, and looks to the armored ponies for help.
- [21:20] <~Reverie> The officerpony approaches, weilding an assault rifle of northern design and carrying a medical kit. "Do any of you require aid?"
- [21:21] * Proverb requires a lot of aid. She was nearly trampled to death.
- [21:21] <&Proverb> Slash cut into tiny pieces.
- [21:21] * Yedis shakes her head.
- [21:22] * Spirit holds onto and looks at Proverb
- [21:22] <~Reverie> Blackout (Said officerpony) kneels down at starts to bandage up Proverb, "The hell where you thinking Corporal?" he asks sincerely as he works.
- [21:22] * Yedis sits off to the side, knowing it is all her fault.
- [21:23] <&Proverb> To be exact, her left hindleg is shattered completley, there's a gash on her forehead, multiple laceratons to her chest, 5 broken ribs, and a collapsed lung. Yay pain.
- [21:25] <~Reverie> Blackout is a highly skilled doctor. He will at elast stabilize her, he looks up at Yedis and Spirit. "One of you, answer me!"
- [21:25] <Yedis> "Hit the wrong button." Yedis mumbles.
- [21:25] * Spirit squeaks, "The mutant pony hit the wrong button and it sent us down here, but the power cut off somehow so we got stuck here!"
- [21:27] <~Reverie> Blackout is probably furious, but he hides his anger well. "Why... are you joyriding... in a top... you know what..." he sighs. "I am afraid all of you are under military arrest."
- [21:28] * Spirit whimpers and nods, "Just help Proverb, please..."
- [21:28] <Yedis> "Okay." Yedis says quietly, bowing her head. "I'm sorry."
- [21:29] <~Reverie> Blackout is still working, his magic and medicine both being applied, fixin gthe ribs and leg foremost. "Just... fuck..." he says under his breath. Why would Proverb have found this an acceptable idea?
- [21:32] * Proverb 's eye cracks open, and she moans.
- [21:33] <~Reverie> Blackout breaths a slight sigh of relief as he injects med-x into her system to ease some of the pain. "She must be taken to infirmiry."
- [21:33] <Yedis> "I can carry her..."
- [21:34] <~Reverie> Black barks slightly. "No, there are medics for that. If you broke the elevator you won't break my soldiers."
- [21:34] * Yedis hangs her head further, her prehensile tail laid tight against the ground in shame and submission.
- [21:36] * Spirit makes sure that Proverb is in good hooves, then steps over to Yedis, "You okay? Hurt?"
- [21:36] <Yedis> "f...fine..."
- [21:36] * Proverb hacks up generous amounts of blood. "Is... e-e-everyp-pony... a-alive..." She says weakly.
- [21:37] <~Reverie> Two soldiers step forward to support Proverb. The other three move to escort Yedis and Spirit. "Surrender your weapons." one says with some gruffness.
- [21:37] * Yedis slowly and gently hands her .50 cal over
- [21:38] * Spirit drops her gun, and looks worredly at Proverb.
- [21:39] * Proverb 's guns are scattered. Her VKS was sitting on the pile of rubble, her SVD lay on the floor nearby, and her M1911 was buy the pile of monsters. She clutched her combat knife in her hoof still though.
- [21:39] <~Reverie> [Blackout is still doing some first aid on Proverb as the elevator which Yedis had claimed to have broken opens. a tech pony inside, still working on the elevator.]
- [21:58] <~Reverie> Blackout steps in with his soldiers, the ones behind Yedis and Spirit motioning for them all to enter.
- [21:58] * Yedis moves in slowly, curling up in the corner to take up the least space
- [21:59] <~Reverie> [Yedis really can't avoid taking space, the soldiers are standing all around both her and Spirit. They did their jobs well enough, Proverb lay draped over the two medical ponies backs.]
- [21:59] * Spirit enters, and pats Yedis head nervously, glancing at the guards in turn, and at Proverb.
- [22:00] <Yedis> "Are they gonna kill me, spirit?" Yedis whispers.
- [22:00] * Spirit whispers back, "I don't think so, because they'd k-kill me too..."
- [22:00] * Proverb lays there, not really doing anything.
- [22:01] <Yedis> "But I'm a mutant... most colonies don't recognize mutants as being ponies..."
- [22:01] <~Reverie> [The elevator starts up the shaft, apparently being guided by the repairpony still working on the console for it. Blackout looks a mix of annoyed, scared, and furious as he stands with his soldiers. And although Yedis doesn't know it, she will not be harmed.]
- [22:03] * Yedis tugs lightly on Blackout's tail.
- [22:04] <~Reverie> Blackout turns around and looks at Yedis, all the different emotions vanishing instantly, "Yes miss?"
- [22:05] <Yedis> "Can I send a letter before I am executed?" she asks softly, without fear.
- [22:06] <~Reverie> Blackout blinks. "What." it wasn't even a question, it was a statement. He gapes. "Execute you?"
- [22:06] <Yedis> "Yeah. You know, because I am a mutant." She states simply.
- [22:07] <~Reverie> Blackout gapes more. "And who said I would have you executed because of your condition?"
- [22:08] * Spirit looks concernedly at Proverb, then wobbles slightly.
- [22:08] <Yedis> "I passed though a town a few days ago where I had to pay them not to kill me. And a raider said that my scales would make a great suit of armor before attacking me. I sort of assumed."
- [22:09] <~Reverie> Blackout slowly closes his mouth. "The soldiers and militia of this state will not harm you." he says assuredly. "Regardless of condition, we are a free thinking group of ponies I suppose." he jokes slightly.
- [22:10] * Proverb moans and shifts slightly.
- [22:10] <Yedis> "Oh." she stays quiet for a moment before speaking up again. "I'm sorry..."
- [22:11] <~Reverie> [The elevator reaches its destination and the door opens to what appears to be an infirmary level of the facility, it is well stocked and equiped.]
- [22:12] * Yedis steps out and looks around in awe.
- [22:14] * Spirit ([email protected]) Quit ( Quit: Bed... 5 hours of sleep plus a minor amount of jet lag, Wat? )
- [22:17] * Yedis ([email protected]) has left #DeadCityOps
- [22:28] <~Reverie> Blackout sits in a chair next to Proverb's infirmiry bed in the Installation, looking on with concern.
- [22:30] * Proverb groans as she finally fully regains consciousness, her eye blinking open.
- [22:31] <~Reverie> Blackout doesn't notice, he is deep in his own thoughts.
- [22:33] * Proverb coughs a few times, wincing and putting a hoof to her chest.
- [22:35] <~Reverie> Blackout blinks and looks relieved seeing Proverb awake. "Hello corporal..." he says softly.
- [22:36] * Proverb looks over at Blackout. "H-Hello sir."
- [22:36] <~Reverie> Blackout shakes his head. "Please Proverb, just Blackout for now, I'll kill you later." he smirks. "How do you feel?"
- [22:37] * Proverb grunts. "Like shit sir, err, B-Blackout."
- [22:38] <&Proverb> "Like I just got trampled by a horde of mutants."
- [22:39] <~Reverie> Blackout smiles a tad sadly. "Yes, yes you did, I saw that, heroic, but... well maybe misplaced. However I am glad that you ok."
- [22:41] * Proverb shakes her head. "I fucked up, really, really fucked up..." She looks away. "I'm anything but ok..."
- [22:42] <~Reverie> Blackout shakes his head. "Medically you are on a great path to recovery, how do you mean?"
- [22:45] * Proverb looks at Blackout. "You remember, the first day I was here, when you said I needed time to adjust? I, I should have believed you... I'm, I'm a terrible Ranger." She sniffles.
- [22:46] <~Reverie> Blackout blinks. "That isn't true, you just..." Fucked up. "...you made some major mistakes, but that just means you need more experience."
- [22:49] * Proverb blinks a few tears away. "Just, just whatever you do, d-don't court martial m-m-me. I, I d-don't think I could live with myself..."
- [22:50] <~Reverie> Blackout blinks before offering a hug. Best he could do. "I... it wasn't even on the table."
- [22:51] * Proverb hugs him briefly. "Wh-what is on the table?"
- [22:53] <~Reverie> Blackout sighs. "originally be yelling at you. But I doubt I could do that now with the outcome. Probably a SoR."
- [22:56] * Proverb nods. "I deserve to be yelled at though..." She kinda stares at Blackout. "J-Just a CoR?"
- [22:57] <~Reverie> Blackout smiles. "Don't you worry corporal, I'm goign to PT you when you recover until you die. But I have questions of a more serious nature."
- [22:58] * Proverb chuckles lightly at that. "A-Ask away."
- [22:58] <~Reverie> Blackout returns to his nuetral look. "Who were the two with you, I have them in holding."
- [23:00] <&Proverb> "W-Well, the lizard-pony was Yedis, and the, the other pegasus was Spirit."
- [23:01] <~Reverie> Blackout nods. "Spirit. She is Enclave, active too, what is her relation." he pauses. "And why in the fuck would you take her through the most hidden secret in the entire northern wasteland, do you have any idea what the Enclave would do for a trove like that?"
- [23:02] <&Proverb> "Because she's my marefriend..."
- [23:03] <~Reverie> Blackout pauses. "That makes it even worse. Only because it gives motive."
- [23:05] * Proverb glares at Blackout. "I trust her. Do you really think I'd date an Enclaver I didn't genuinelly trust after what they did to me? She'd never betray anything."
- [23:06] <~Reverie> Blackout doesn't glare back, he just looks sad. "I... wasn't referring... to your trust..."
- [23:08] * Proverb looks away. "You could always brand her yourself if that'd make you trust her more."
- [23:09] <~Reverie> Blackout shakes his head. "No! This is not what I mean!"
- [23:09] <&Proverb> "Then what /did/ you mean."
- [23:13] <~Reverie> Blackout sighs. "The Colonel is going to come asking you know, how the hell did we let two unauthorized mares into the facility... and to that, I will take the fall." he says softly.
- [23:14] * Proverb blinks, looking back at Blackout. "Oh... but that, that's my fault though..."
- [23:15] <~Reverie> Blackout shakes his head. "Irrelevent."
- [23:15] * Proverb looks away again. "Sorry sir..."
- [23:16] <~Reverie> Blackout smiles. "I will be fine, but there will be a few things different, like your restricted access."
- [23:17] * Proverb nods. "To what and for how long?"
- [23:19] <~Reverie> Blackout considers. "The armory, the installation, and a few other high priority places. I personally think you just dropped the ball. But command has to see some action."
- [23:20] * Proverb nods. "I, I understand. How long will that last?"
- [23:21] <~Reverie> Blackout looks over at Proverb. "The least is six months and the most is a year."
- [23:22] * Proverb nods. "Heh, I'll have to have someone start getting me my 12.7mm rounds then."
- [23:25] <~Reverie> Blackout chuckles. "Just reqeisition from the quartermaster on duty. You still have preference."
- [23:28] * Proverb nods. "Got it sir."
- [23:30] <~Reverie> Blackout nods slowly. "Just... make sure that your marefriend is careful if in uniform or such, some ponies are still bitter about all that has happened, even if it isn't her fault."
- [23:32] <&Proverb> "Understood sir... and thanks for saving me. I, I shouldn't have made it..." She smiles slightly. "Though, you were lucky you didn't fry me with the rest of the muties."
- [23:32] <~Reverie> Blackout rolls his eyes. "You shouldn't have jumped in the fray, situational awareness." he teases slightly.
- [23:39] <&Proverb> "Yeah... but that mutie was charging right for Spirit."
- [23:41] <~Reverie> Blackout nods, "Perhaps, I didn't have a view of it, I was watching the roastathon. But I am glad you are all alive."
- [23:43] * Proverb nods. She adjusts her eyepatch slightly. "Do you have anything more for me Captain?"
- [23:46] <~Reverie> Blackout stands. "Not at the moment Corporal. I shall leave you be I think."
- [23:46] * Proverb nods, giving Blackout a weak salute.
- [23:47] <~Reverie> Blackout returns his own. "I wish you a speedy recovery Proverb, I will see you soon."
- [23:47] <&Proverb> "And, if you Nguvu, tell him what happened... I don't want him to be worried."
- [23:50] <&Proverb> you see*]
- [23:59] <~Reverie> Blackout nods slowly. "I do not see... eye to eye with that stallion. I was informed of his dislike for me from Reverie, not that I really care. I shall pass it on for your sake if I see him."
- [23:59] * Proverb nods. "Thanks."
