Then he flung him onto the ground with such force that Daguenet lacked the strength to get up, and lay there as though he were dead, so bruised and so confounded was he by this fall. Tristan immediately seized the bare sword which Daguenet was holding, and with it rushed at the squires, striking one of them so fiercely that he cut his arms right off.
