00:13:16,477 --> 00:13:18,310
Maybe painted as a bent cop.

181
00:13:18,312 --> 00:13:20,381
Hey, I gotta tell ya, Danny,

182
00:13:20,715 --> 00:13:22,518
I don't think Charlie
was painted bent.

183
00:13:24,249 --> 00:13:24,452
I think he was bent.

184
00:13:28,856 --> 00:13:31,360
I think what Charlie loved
most in life was gambling.

185
00:13:32,360 --> 00:13:33,796
And it put him
in Driscoll's pocket.

186
00:13:34,294 --> 00:13:35,895
But fuck it.
Doesn't matter what I think.

187
00:13:35,897 --> 00:13:37,829
Cause Driscoll sat
in a courtroom,

188
00:13:37,831 --> 00:13:40,369
and he told the jury that he had
his hooks into you and Charlie,

189
00:13:41,168 --> 00:13:43,335
and you got greedy, and you
pressed him for more money.

190
00:13:43,337 --> 00:13:45,171
The next thing you know,
Charlie was dead,

191
00:13:45,173 --> 00:13:46,906
there was a dead narc
that nobody knew about,

192
00:13:46,908 --> 00:13:48,310
and you're in a fuckin' cell.

193
00:13:49,409 --> 00:13:50,675
You really
believe that, Jimmy?

194
00:13:50,677 --> 00:13:52,777
I believe what I see,
and what I hear,

195
00:13:52,779 --> 00:13:56,117
and Driscoll had payments and dates in
his books from both you and Charlie.

196
00:13:56,817 --> 00:13:58,350
I never took a nickel.

197
00:13:58,352 --> 00:13:59,819
Well, Charlie did,
and he kept your end then.

198
00:13:59,821 --> 00:14:01,153
The fuck he did!

199
00:14:01,155 --> 00:14:02,688
You stuck your head
in the sand.

200
00:14:02,690 --> 00:14:04,690
And if there's a crime
in that, you've done it,

201
00:14:04,692 --> 00:14:05,827
and I've done the same.

202
00:14:08,663 --> 00:14:10,396
When's Driscoll up for parole?

203
00:14:10,398 --> 00:14:11,700
[laughs] That's not the move.

204
00:14:12,267 --> 00:14:14,403
That is not the move.
The move is, go find Kate.

205
00:14:14,701 --> 00:14:16,435
You know they took
her joint away?

206
00:14:16,437 --> 00:14:19,171
They trumped up some bullshit,
took her license away,

207
00:14:19,173 --> 00:14:20,305
and closed her down.

208
00:14:20,307 --> 00:14:21,373
I didn't know that.

209
00:14:21,375 --> 00:14:22,744
Of course you didn't know that!

210
00:14:23,278 --> 00:14:25,346
Because you're thinking
about something else!

211
00:14:30,684 --> 00:14:31,950
Let me explain
something to you.

212
00:14:31,952 --> 00:14:33,886
Every cop in this city
hates you.

213
00:14:33,888 --> 00:14:36,258
And they're gonna come after
the thing that you love.

214
00:14:36,658 --> 00:14:38,958
What you need to do is:
You need to go find her.

215
00:14:38,960 --> 00:14:41,194
She's working as a waitress.

216
00:14:41,196 --> 00:14:44,266
As a fucking waitress
in some joint out in the sticks.

217
00:14:44,865 --> 00:14:45,900
Go find her.

218
00:14:46,366 --> 00:14:48,202
And make a life for yourselves.

219
00:14:48,469 --> 00:14:50,439
Because she's the best thing
that ever happened to you.

220
00:14:53,474 --> 00:14:54,873
Jimmy, I killed
Driscoll's brother.

221
00:14:54,875 --> 00:14:56,745
He's not the kind
of guy to forget that.

222
00:15:05,419 --> 00:15:06,719
What do you need from me?

223
00:15:06,721 --> 00:15:07,755
When's he out?

224
00:15:08,590 --> 00:15:10,425
- Sixth of April.
- Sixth of April?

225
00:15:10,825 --> 00:15:12,525
- He gonna make it?
- Of course he's gonna.

226
00:15:12,527 --> 00:15:14,259
He turned in two dirty cops.

227
00:15:14,261 --> 00:15:15,695
The judge thanked him for it.

228
00:15:15,697 --> 00:15:17,765
Sixth of April, he's out,
just like you are.

229
00:15:18,932 --> 00:15:20,565
Now listen to me.

230
00:15:20,567 --> 00:15:22,401
I know you're not bent
like Driscoll said you are,

231
00:15:22,403 --> 00:15:24,237
but if you go out
and kill this guy,

232
00:15:24,239 --> 00:15:25,607
that's exactly
what you're gonna be.

233
00:15:27,942 --> 00:15:29,878
Charlie was good,
he fooled us both.

234
00:15:30,711 --> 00:15:32,411
But, fuck, it's time to move on.

235
00:15:32,413 --> 00:15:33,649
That's the call here.

236
00:15:35,250 --> 00:15:35,951
Let it go.

237
00:15:36,850 --> 00:15:38,584
Jimmy, if I don't
believe in Charlie,

238
00:15:38,586 --> 00:15:39,922
I don't believe
in anything.

239
00:15:42,923 --> 00:15:44,192
Welcome home, Danny.

240
00:15:47,427 --> 00:15:48,797
Sorry about the stink.

241
00:15:50,097 --> 00:15:51,966
Been hotter than a dog in heat,
and it ain't even summer yet.

242
00:15:54,635 --> 00:15:56,404
[ominous music playing]

243
00:16:04,345 --> 00:16:05,346
[gun cocks]

244
00:16:06,748 --> 00:16:09,482
Anything else you need, Danny,
whatever, you let me know.

245
00:16:09,484 --> 00:16:10,586
I owe ya.

246
00:16:11,586 --> 00:16:12,884
Wheels?

247
00:16:12,886 --> 00:16:14,789
Cleaned her up,
put a new battery in her.

248
00:16:16,423 --> 00:16:17,326
Thanks, Jake.

249
00:16:23,865 --> 00:16:25,767
[indistinct chatter]

250
00:16:31,371 --> 00:16:32,540
[phone ringing]

251
00:16:36,610 --> 00:16:37,645
[woman] Hello?

252
00:16:39,647 --> 00:16:41,283
Sorry. One second. Hello?

253
00:16:41,749 --> 00:16:42,783
[Danny] It's me.

254
00:16:44,985 --> 00:16:46,288
Danny?

255
00:16:47,587 --> 00:16:48,789
I got out.

256
00:16:49,724 --> 00:16:50,892
Yeah, I know.

257
00:16:54,528 --> 00:16:55,764
I've been thinking about you.

258
00:16:57,398 --> 00:16:58,834
Yesterday was your birthday.

259
00:17:00,600 --> 00:17:02,437
Christ, you didn't
remember your birthday?

260
00:17:03,904 --> 00:17:06,274
I'm sorry they took
your place, Kate.

261
00:17:07,674 --> 00:17:09,344
They shouldn't have
taken it out on you.

262
00:17:10,510 --> 00:17:11,779
I moved on, Danny.

263
00:17:14,348 --> 00:17:15,583
I'm doing all right.

264
00:17:19,987 --> 00:17:21,023
Look, I have to go.

265
00:17:21,556 --> 00:17:22,654
Wait, Kate.

266
00:17:22,656 --> 00:17:23,692
You know what
hurts the most?

267
00:17:25,593 --> 00:17:26,695
You cut me off.

268
00:17:29,096 --> 00:17:30,432
Like I was the enemy.

269
00:17:32,133 --> 00:17:33,501
Like I was one of them.

270
00:17:34,134 --> 00:17:35,403
And I wasn't.

271
00:17:42,676 --> 00:17:44,545
[sighs] I just
wanna know why.

272
00:17:49,450 --> 00:17:50,751
I would've waited forever.

273
00:17:54,555 --> 00:17:55,824
Don't call again, Danny.

274
00:17:56,691 --> 00:17:57,858
I don't know what you need.

275
00:17:58,593 --> 00:18:00,062
And I don't know
how to fix it.

276
00:18:03,029 --> 00:18:04,499
But I hope you do.

277
00:18:08,769 --> 00:18:10,338
[engine starts]

278
00:18:33,428 --> 00:18:35,530
[sirens blare]

279
00:18:38,965 --> 00:18:40,699
Where you at, Danny boy?

280
00:18:40,701 --> 00:18:42,636
Good till about
a minute ago, Milty.

281
00:18:43,104 --> 00:18:44,139
It's Milton.

282
00:18:44,605 --> 00:18:45,906
Assume the position, shithead.

283
00:18:47,141 --> 00:18:48,677
Spread them, motherfucker.

284
00:18:49,176 --> 00:18:50,709
I do something wrong?

285
00:18:50,711 --> 00:18:51,709
Jaywalking.

286
00:18:51,711 --> 00:18:53,011
Jaywalking?

287
00:18:53,013 --> 00:18:54,779
You lock jaywalkers up
these days?

288
00:18:54,781 --> 00:18:56,117
Only the cop killers.

289
00:18:56,784 --> 00:18:58,620
I'm gonna let you go
with a warning.

290
00:18:58,853 --> 00:19:00,652
You ever call me
"Milty" again,

291
00:19:00,654 --> 00:19:02,755
I'll put a bullet
in your fucking head.

292
00:19:02,757 --> 00:19:04,426
- [thud]
- [grunts]

293
00:19:28,816 --> 00:19:30,018
[door creaks]

294
00:19:33,688 --> 00:19:35,457
[slow piano and string music]

295
00:19:50,070 --> 00:19:51,439
[Danny echoing]
What the fuck happened?

296
00:19:51,806 --> 00:19:53,775
[Charlie echoing]
Driscoll! He made us!

297
00:19:57,612 --> 00:19:58,680
Charlie!

298
00:20:08,522 --> 00:20:10,655
[Charlie echoing]
Hey, Casey, what's up?

299
00:20:10,657 --> 00:20:12,126
I was just thinking
about tonight's game.

300
00:20:12,692 --> 00:20:14,028
Give me some numbers,
make them good.

301
00:20:24,070 --> 00:20:25,906
[phone beeps]

302
00:20:26,840 --> 00:20:28,576
[dial tone]

303
00:20:31,077 --> 00:20:32,513
Casey, this is Gallagher.

304
00:20:32,846 --> 00:20:35,983
[up-tempo electronic music]

305
00:20:39,119 --> 00:20:40,955
[indistinct cheering]

306
00:20:45,026 --> 00:20:46,859
Charlie was into me
for a lot of money,

307
00:20:46,861 --> 00:20:48,630
so he helped me out
with my sister.

308
00:20:49,230 --> 00:20:50,996
She was having a problem
with her husband.

309
00:20:50,998 --> 00:20:52,200
Found out he was
hiding money.

310
00:20:53,067 --> 00:20:54,566
What kind of money?

311
00:20:54,568 --> 00:20:56,070
The kind of money
you steal from somebody.

312
00:20:56,903 --> 00:20:59,572
She thought that she could find
out who he was stealing it from,

313
00:20:59,574 --> 00:21:02,106
she could use it against him,
try to save their marriage.

314
00:21:02,108 --> 00:21:03,241
It's nuts.

315
00:21:03,243 --> 00:21:04,745
But that's what
she wanted so...

316
00:21:05,211 --> 00:21:07,949
I made a deal with Charlie
to square up the books,

317
00:21:09,049 --> 00:21:11,051
if she could find out
what Pierce was up to.

318
00:21:12,086 --> 00:21:13,288
That's her husband, Bill.

319
00:21:14,288 --> 00:21:15,690
Bill Pierce.

320
00:21:18,726 --> 00:21:20,762
So Charlie was tracking Pierce.

321
00:21:21,362 --> 00:21:23,832
Yeah, cause I was worried
about my sister, all right?

322
00:21:24,230 --> 00:21:25,534
What'd he find out?

323
00:21:25,833 --> 00:21:27,269
Nothing as far as I know.

324
00:21:28,001 --> 00:21:29,735
But that's why I called
Charlie that night.

325
00:21:29,737 --> 00:21:31,540
It was Pierce's car, man.
It blew up.

326
00:21:32,239 --> 00:21:33,575
Not Jen's.

327
00:21:34,141 --> 00:21:36,545
Jennifer, that was her name.

328
00:21:37,077 --> 00:21:38,276
What'd the cops say?

329
00:21:38,278 --> 00:21:40,379
They bullshitted around,

330
00:21:40,381 --> 00:21:42,815
made a lot of promises, like they were
gonna get who did it, then nothin'.

331
00:21:42,817 --> 00:21:45,351
- You told them about Pierce?
- About a thousand times.

332
00:21:45,353 --> 00:21:46,951
They thought since
it was Pierce's car,

333
00:21:46,953 --> 00:21:48,621
he might've been
the intended target.

334
00:21:48,623 --> 00:21:49,988
It's fuckin' horseshit.

335
00:21:49,990 --> 00:21:51,992
It's an ongoing investigation.

336
00:21:52,626 --> 00:21:54,194
[music swells]

337
00:21:54,929 --> 00:21:57,566
Just wanna make sure
you have my pay ready tomorrow.

338
00:21:57,865 --> 00:21:58,799
Yeah.

339
00:22:00,201 --> 00:22:01,169
Hi.

340
00:22:01,868 --> 00:22:02,836
Hi.

341
00:22:15,750 --> 00:22:17,251
You ever work with
Lenny Driscoll?

342
00:22:17,852 --> 00:22:18,887
Lenny Driscoll?

343
00:22:19,854 --> 00:22:20,889
You know I'm a bookie.

344
00:22:21,188 --> 00:22:22,654
Of course
I worked with him.

345
00:22:22,656 --> 00:22:24,323
What about your sister
or Pierce?

346
00:22:24,325 --> 00:22:25,824
Do they know
Lenny Driscoll?

347
00:22:25,826 --> 00:22:27,191
Not that I'm aware of.

348
00:22:27,193 --> 00:22:28,893
You think Pierce had
something to do with

349
00:22:28,895 --> 00:22:30,264
what happened to you
that night?

350
00:22:31,798 --> 00:22:32,866
Him or you.

351
00:22:36,770 --> 00:22:38,807
Listen, man,
I don't know you well.

352
00:22:39,940 --> 00:22:41,875
But I knew Charlie.
We were friends.

353
00:22:42,242 --> 00:22:44,612
All right? I don't beat
people up unless I have to.

354
00:22:44,845 --> 00:22:46,014
And I don't kill people.

355
00:22:47,013 --> 00:22:48,713
Not friends like Charlie

356
00:22:48,715 --> 00:22:50,951
and not scumbags
like my sister's husband.

357
00:22:53,354 --> 00:22:54,990
What did you sister do?

358
00:22:55,221 --> 00:22:57,389
For work? Nothing.

359
00:22:57,391 --> 00:22:59,324
She painted in college.

360
00:22:59,326 --> 00:23:02,227
She actually started taking art
classes again over at the academy

361
00:23:02,229 --> 00:23:03,731
when she found out
about Pierce.

362
00:23:04,265 --> 00:23:06,230
- What about Pierce?
- He's an accountant.

363
00:23:06,232 --> 00:23:07,268
For the government.

364
00:23:08,068 --> 00:23:09,401
He never said much about it.

365
00:23:09,403 --> 00:23:11,373
Treasury Department, I think.

366
00:23:17,978 --> 00:23:19,080
That's Jen.

367
00:23:20,146 --> 00:23:22,113
You know, my sister,
she wasn't an important person,

368
00:23:22,115 --> 00:23:23,283
but she was a good person.

369
00:23:23,483 --> 00:23:25,285
And she deserved more
than what she got.

370
00:23:25,752 --> 00:23:27,419
So if you find anything out,

371
00:23:27,421 --> 00:23:29,658
I'd appreciate it
if you let me know about it.

372
00:23:32,826 --> 00:23:33,928
[gunshot echoes]

373
00:23:36,363 --> 00:23:38,333
[up-tempo tense music]

374
00:24:01,756 --> 00:24:04,757
[woman] We're at the home of
government official, Bill Pierce.

375
00:24:04,759 --> 00:24:08,760
This is where this morning his wife,
Jennifer Pierce, got into a car.

376
00:24:08,762 --> 00:24:11,095
There was an explosion,
and she was killed.

377
00:24:11,097 --> 00:24:14,866
Police are now investigating the
unknown cause of this explosion.

378
00:24:14,868 --> 00:24:16,901
A shock for everyone here
in the neighborhood.

379
00:24:16,903 --> 00:24:21,105
Needless to say, Bill Pierce
distraught by this turn of events.

380
00:24:21,107 --> 00:24:24,409
As you can see, there are emergency
workers, and investigators,

381
00:24:24,411 --> 00:24:26,081
explosives experts...

382
00:24:28,115 --> 00:24:29,718
[tense music]

383
00:24:32,318 --> 00:24:33,954
[elevator bell dings]

384
00:24:44,330 --> 00:24:46,233
[indistinct chatter]

385
00:24:50,203 --> 00:24:51,370
Hey, buddy?

386
00:24:51,372 --> 00:24:52,504
Yes? What can I do
for you?

387
00:24:52,506 --> 00:24:54,305
Jack Bagby, from up on nine.

388
00:24:54,307 --> 00:24:56,808
Listen, I'm a little bit
embarrassed. I'm new here.

389
00:24:56,810 --> 00:24:58,943
I've forgotten the name
of the guy who's, uh,

390
00:24:58,945 --> 00:25:00,946
talking to Bill Pierce
over there.

391
00:25:00,948 --> 00:25:02,083
Oh, that's Mr. Loach.

392
00:25:03,116 --> 00:25:04,016
He's a big shot. You don't
wanna forget his name.

393
00:25:04,018 --> 00:25:07,151
Loach, huh? Right!
Treasury Department.

394
00:25:07,153 --> 00:25:09,020
Nah, Treasury's
across the street.

395
00:25:09,022 --> 00:25:10,823
You are new here,
aren't you? [laughs]

396
00:25:10,825 --> 00:25:11,890
Yeah. Thanks, pal.

397
00:25:11,892 --> 00:25:12,927
Sure thing.

398
00:25:17,263 --> 00:25:19,199
[inaudible]

399
00:25:27,942 --> 00:25:29,109
[elevator bell dings]

400
00:25:44,490 --> 00:25:45,926
[elevator bell dings]

401
00:25:55,568 --> 00:25:57,201
Aw, damn it!
I've done it again.

402
00:25:57,203 --> 00:25:58,437
I forgot my card.

403
00:25:58,439 --> 00:25:59,571
I got it.

404
00:25:59,573 --> 00:26:02,009
Oh, thanks, pal.
Uh, ten, please.

405
00:26:04,044 --> 00:26:05,246
[elevator bell dings]

406
00:26:10,284 --> 00:26:11,920
[tense music]

407
00:26:27,401 --> 00:26:28,403
Can I help you?

408
00:26:29,103 --> 00:26:30,602
Oh, hey, hi! Uh...

409
00:26:30,604 --> 00:26:32,938
Jack Bagby, I got an
appointment with Kim Masters.

410
00:26:32,940 --> 00:26:34,107
There's no Kim here.

411
00:26:34,307 --> 00:26:36,941
No Kim? 1114?
Department of Interior?

412
00:26:36,943 --> 00:26:38,479
No, this is 1014.

413
00:26:40,247 --> 00:26:41,916
Oh, God, no...

414
00:26:42,583 --> 00:26:45,083
Oh, great! Now I'm late.
Terribly sorry.

415
00:26:45,085 --> 00:26:47,286
You're gonna have to go
back down and see the guard.

416
00:26:47,288 --> 00:26:49,988
You won't be able to get to
11 without an elevator pass.

417
00:26:49,990 --> 00:26:51,925
Elevator pass.
Got it. Thank you.

418
00:27:09,076 --> 00:27:11,045
[up-tempo tense music]

419
00:27:44,611 --> 00:27:46,247
[music continues playing]

420
00:28:05,365 --> 00:28:07,000
[engine shuts off]

421
00:28:21,315 --> 00:28:24,115
[man over speaker] There is no
sin that cannot be forgiven.

422
00:28:24,117 --> 00:28:26,418
Even when the weight
of his sins

423
00:28:26,420 --> 00:28:30,158
has sunk the lost
deep into the lake of fire.

424
00:28:31,125 --> 00:28:33,126
He may be born again.

425
00:28:33,326 --> 00:28:34,561
So today...

426
00:28:35,429 --> 00:28:37,332
I ask you this question:

427
00:28:38,398 --> 00:28:40,532
Where will you
go from here?

428
00:28:40,534 --> 00:28:43,671
Will you wade further
into the lake of fire,

429
00:28:44,538 --> 00:28:48,276
thrash among the flames
waiting to be saved?

430
00:28:48,608 --> 00:28:50,610
Or will you
save yourself,

431
00:28:51,345 --> 00:28:54,115
depart from evil,
and do good?

432
00:28:54,781 --> 00:28:57,018
For the wages of sin...

433
00:28:57,451 --> 00:28:58,553
is death.

434
00:29:00,421 --> 00:29:02,323
[soft church organ playing]

435
00:29:36,289 --> 00:29:38,225
- [indistinct chatter]
- [indistinct pop music playing]

436
00:29:41,461 --> 00:29:43,096
- Here you go.
- Thank you.

437
00:29:51,305 --> 00:29:52,807
[pop music continues playing]

438
00:29:58,511 --> 00:30:00,114
[inaudible]

439
00:30:10,824 --> 00:30:13,193
- [indistinct shouting]
- [flirtatious laughter]

440
00:30:17,463 --> 00:30:19,232
[slow acoustic guitar music]

441
00:30:25,138 --> 00:30:26,173
[seagulls chirping]

442
00:30:32,546 --> 00:30:34,548
[music fades]

443
00:30:36,415 --> 00:30:37,317
So...

444
00:30:37,617 --> 00:30:39,153
I guess I'll be going.

445
00:30:40,453 --> 00:30:42,423
Last night was it
for me at Fatty's.

446
00:30:42,689 --> 00:30:43,858
I'm going home.

447
00:30:44,924 --> 00:30:46,159
Home's good.

448
00:30:51,330 --> 00:30:52,500
You know what's strange?

449
00:30:53,467 --> 00:30:55,103
Two years I've been here.

450
00:30:55,801 --> 00:30:58,105
And you're the only person
I'm saying goodbye to.

451
00:31:00,673 --> 00:31:02,143
I bet you got people.

452
00:31:03,376 --> 00:31:04,744
Somebody to say goodbye to.

453
00:31:06,380 --> 00:31:07,615
You'd lose.

454
00:31:09,816 --> 00:31:11,119
[slow piano music]

455
00:31:20,227 --> 00:31:21,762
[Kate echoing]
Don't call again, Danny.

456
00:31:22,429 --> 00:31:24,563
[inaudible]

457
00:31:24,565 --> 00:31:26,134
[scattered applause]

458
00:31:27,768 --> 00:31:28,602
Thank you.

459
00:31:29,970 --> 00:31:31,670
[Kate echoing]
I don't know what you need.

460
00:31:31,672 --> 00:31:33,404
And I don't know
how to fix it.

461
00:31:33,406 --> 00:31:34,875
[music fades]

462
00:31:40,948 --> 00:31:43,184
[up-tempo dramatic music]

463
00:31:44,417 --> 00:31:45,652
[computer pings]

464
00:31:51,724 --> 00:31:52,826
[computer pings]

465
00:31:56,363 --> 00:31:57,899
[keys clicking]

466
00:32:03,769 --> 00:32:05,239
[music continues playing]

467
00:32:25,592 --> 00:32:26,961
[door creaks open]

468
00:32:31,698 --> 00:32:33,430
Yeah?

469
00:32:33,432 --> 00:32:34,902
I'm investigating
the death of Jennifer Pierce.

470
00:32:36,303 --> 00:32:38,636
I'm glad someone's finally looking
into what happened to Jennifer.

471
00:32:38,638 --> 00:32:39,806
You mind telling me about her?

472
00:32:40,273 --> 00:32:41,739
She was good.

473
00:32:41,741 --> 00:32:43,510
Little formal training,
but she had talent.

474
00:32:43,943 --> 00:32:45,744
Did she have any
friends here,

475
00:32:45,746 --> 00:32:46,847
anyone she might've had
a personal connection with?

476
00:32:47,580 --> 00:32:48,947
Marcy Williams.

477
00:32:48,949 --> 00:32:50,614
Marcy Williams, who's that?

478
00:32:50,616 --> 00:32:51,652
I'll show you.

479
00:32:53,953 --> 00:32:56,289
This was Jennifer's
portrait of Marcy.

480
00:32:57,324 --> 00:32:58,057
Beautiful.

481
00:32:58,592 --> 00:33:00,324
Jennifer was good,
but let's face it,

482
00:33:00,326 --> 00:33:01,628
she had a great subject.

483
00:33:03,696 --> 00:33:05,532
Would you mind showing me
Marcy's records?

484
00:33:05,865 --> 00:33:07,567
Can't. Don't have any.

485
00:33:08,468 --> 00:33:09,302
What do you mean?

486
00:33:09,769 --> 00:33:12,069
When Jenn died,
I wanted to contact Marcy.

487
00:33:12,071 --> 00:33:13,640
I checked the registrar.

488
00:33:14,074 --> 00:33:15,375
She was never enrolled.

489
00:33:16,542 --> 00:33:18,343
There's something that I
considered showing the police,

490
00:33:18,345 --> 00:33:19,779
but they never
came by to ask.

491
00:33:20,346 --> 00:33:21,680
I don't even know
if it's important,

492
00:33:21,682 --> 00:33:23,416
but for some reason
I kept it.

493
00:33:33,059 --> 00:33:34,794
That's Jennifer with Marcy.

494
00:33:37,396 --> 00:33:39,299
[ominous music]

495
00:33:49,910 --> 00:33:51,812
[music continues playing]

496
00:34:01,355 --> 00:34:02,490
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop.

497
00:34:04,458 --> 00:34:05,493
Back it up.

498
00:34:07,661 --> 00:34:08,896
[Danny] There. Stop.

499
00:34:11,465 --> 00:34:14,798
[woman on phone] Okay, Marcy
Williams, Mercedes four-door, right?

500
00:34:14,800 --> 00:34:15,735
Yeah, that's right.

501
00:34:17,003 --> 00:34:18,039
Okay.

502
00:34:18,605 --> 00:34:21,342
Here we go... Got it!

503
00:34:22,041 --> 00:34:23,443
Not on file.

504
00:34:24,545 --> 00:34:26,047
That's a red flag.
Usually means government issue.

505
00:34:26,713 --> 00:34:27,778
What agency?

506
00:34:27,780 --> 00:34:29,083
Your guess is as good as mine.

507
00:34:30,016 --> 00:34:31,916
Anything else?

508
00:34:31,918 --> 00:34:34,952
There are 14 licenses issued
under the name "Marcy Williams."

509
00:34:34,954 --> 00:34:37,121
Forty-two under
"Marshell Williams."

510
00:34:37,123 --> 00:34:38,958
If you give me an age,
I can crosscheck.

511
00:34:39,893 --> 00:34:41,628
Tell you what:
I'll let you know.

512
00:34:42,429 --> 00:34:43,463
Hey, G.

513
00:34:43,896 --> 00:34:44,764
Yeah?

514
00:34:45,132 --> 00:34:46,367
I'm glad you're out.

515
00:34:46,932 --> 00:34:48,001
Yeah, me too.

516
00:34:49,101 --> 00:34:50,971
[suspenseful music]

517
00:35:04,684 --> 00:35:06,053
[tires screeching]

518
00:35:13,592 --> 00:35:15,663
[music continues playing]

519
00:35:39,085 --> 00:35:40,121
[door closes]

520
00:36:01,942 --> 00:36:02,976
Hello, Marcy.

521
00:36:03,210 --> 00:36:04,912
Actually, it's Rebecca.

522
00:36:05,679 --> 00:36:07,181
- Gallagher.
- I know.

523
00:36:07,947 --> 00:36:09,680
I know everything about you.

524
00:36:09,682 --> 00:36:11,115
What do you know about me?

525
00:36:11,117 --> 00:36:13,517
Well, I know you work for
some government agency:

526
00:36:13,519 --> 00:36:16,090
CIA, FSB, FU2, one of them.

527
00:36:16,922 --> 00:36:18,755
I know you had
the police investigation

528
00:36:18,757 --> 00:36:20,492
into the death
of Jennifer Pierce shut down.

529
00:36:20,494 --> 00:36:22,159
I know you were
sleeping with Jennifer,

530
00:36:22,161 --> 00:36:24,564
but I bet there was no love lost
there when she was murdered.

531
00:36:26,032 --> 00:36:27,101
Anything else?

532
00:36:28,501 --> 00:36:29,869
I liked you better
as a blonde.

533
00:36:30,903 --> 00:36:31,938
Give it time.

534
00:36:33,039 --> 00:36:34,074
I don't think so.

535
00:36:34,574 --> 00:36:36,273
Why are you tracking
Bill Pierce?

536
00:36:36,275 --> 00:36:37,644
That's my business.

537
00:36:39,512 --> 00:36:40,713
This is who I work for.

538
00:36:41,847 --> 00:36:43,050
That should scare you.

539
00:36:43,983 --> 00:36:45,682
It scares the hell
out of me.

540
00:36:45,684 --> 00:36:46,987
What's it got to do
with Pierce?

541
00:36:47,253 --> 00:36:49,586
You're interfering with
a major investigation

542
00:36:49,588 --> 00:36:51,090
having to do with
national security.

543
00:36:51,525 --> 00:36:53,124
You need to back off.

544
00:36:53,126 --> 00:36:54,995
If you don't back off,
I will force you to back off.

545
00:36:55,996 --> 00:36:57,498
You understand that, right?

546
00:36:58,130 --> 00:36:59,699
Seems pretty clear enough.

547
00:37:00,699 --> 00:37:02,936
My cell is on the card
if you have any questions.

548
00:37:04,603 --> 00:37:05,806
I do have a question.

549
00:37:07,007 --> 00:37:10,041
How much money do you think a
guy like Pierce makes a year?

550
00:37:10,043 --> 00:37:11,943
- Why?
- He's got a young mistress.

551
00:37:11,945 --> 00:37:14,679
He buys her gifts, expensive
jewelry, got a nice place

552
00:37:14,681 --> 00:37:16,750
down on the waterfront
with her shacked up.

553
00:37:17,117 --> 00:37:19,553
Be nice to know where he's
getting all that money from.

554
00:37:20,186 --> 00:37:23,923
You sticking your nose into this is
only going to make things worse.

555
00:37:24,157 --> 00:37:26,861
Well it couldn't get much worse
for Jennifer Pierce, could it?

556
00:37:27,693 --> 00:37:29,226
By the way,
you sleeping with her,

557
00:37:29,228 --> 00:37:31,061
was that for God
and country and all that

558
00:37:31,063 --> 00:37:32,199
or was that for real?

559
00:37:42,943 --> 00:37:44,575
- Eddie!
- Ugh.

560
00:37:44,577 --> 00:37:46,711
You want it done right
or you want it done?

561
00:37:46,713 --> 00:37:48,115
And put that cigarette out.

562
00:37:49,748 --> 00:37:50,850
On second thought...

563
00:37:54,019 --> 00:37:55,155
Give it here.

564
00:37:58,324 --> 00:37:59,559
What do we got?

565
00:38:02,027 --> 00:38:03,096
Professional.

566
00:38:06,333 --> 00:38:08,601
- Only one?
- That I could find.

567
00:38:08,969 --> 00:38:10,771
You piss somebody
off again?

568
00:38:11,771 --> 00:38:13,106
It's a problem of mine.

569
00:38:23,782 --> 00:38:25,786
[sirens blare]

570
00:38:38,797 --> 00:38:40,266
Put your hands
where I can see them.

571
00:38:41,166 --> 00:38:42,133
Problem, officer?

572
00:38:42,135 --> 00:38:43,270
License and registration.

573
00:38:43,769 --> 00:38:45,269
Okay if I reach
into my jacket?

574
00:38:45,271 --> 00:38:47,106
Shut the fuck up
and get out the car!

575
00:38:54,179 --> 00:38:55,248
Come on. Let's go.

576
00:38:56,250 --> 00:38:58,115
You know, you two dick twins
are the second team

577
00:38:58,117 --> 00:38:59,383
to stop me like this.

578
00:38:59,385 --> 00:39:00,784
"Dick twins?"

579
00:39:00,786 --> 00:39:02,320
Is that what you said,
"dick twins?"

580
00:39:02,322 --> 00:39:04,421
Do you fuckin' think I look
like this fuckin' Uncle Tom?

581
00:39:04,423 --> 00:39:07,161
You think I look like this trailer
trash, inbred motherfucker?

582
00:39:07,360 --> 00:39:08,796
I didn't say that.

583
00:39:09,061 --> 00:39:10,894
You going to jail,
scumbag.

584
00:39:10,896 --> 00:39:12,396
I've been to jail.
I didn't like it.

585
00:39:12,398 --> 00:39:13,965
You like your teeth?

586
00:39:13,967 --> 00:39:15,066
'Cause you're about to
lose a couple of molars.

587
00:39:15,068 --> 00:39:16,700
Tell me what
I did wrong.

588
00:39:16,702 --> 00:39:18,838
Well for starters:
driving with a broken taillight.

589
00:39:23,143 --> 00:39:24,945
Nope. No.
He just broke it.

590
00:39:25,177 --> 00:39:26,980
Tonight, you've done nothin'.

591
00:39:27,313 --> 00:39:28,813
But what you have done,

592
00:39:28,815 --> 00:39:29,983
and what you are...

593
00:39:30,382 --> 00:39:32,685
is scumbag motherfuckin'
cop killer.

594
00:39:32,918 --> 00:39:34,786
You think just because
they let you out that

595
00:39:34,788 --> 00:39:36,119
that somehow gets you
a free pass.

596
00:39:36,121 --> 00:39:37,790
If that's what you think...

597
00:39:38,692 --> 00:39:39,691
you very wrong.

598
00:39:39,693 --> 00:39:41,128
That's a cute mustache.

599
00:39:42,896 --> 00:39:44,632
Before you do anything stupid

600
00:39:44,898 --> 00:39:46,266
have a look inside the car.

601
00:39:47,800 --> 00:39:48,902
You see that?

602
00:39:50,003 --> 00:39:51,836
That's a dashcam uploading
everything we say and do

603
00:39:51,838 --> 00:39:53,774
directly to
my attorney's server.

604
00:39:54,306 --> 00:39:56,175
That's right,
you dumb motherfuckers,

605
00:39:56,943 --> 00:39:58,145
I own you.

606
00:39:58,445 --> 00:40:00,077
So this is what's gonna happen.

607
00:40:00,079 --> 00:40:02,012
You're gonna go back
to the precinct,

608
00:40:02,014 --> 00:40:04,215
and you're gonna tell
your fuckhead buddies

609
00:40:04,217 --> 00:40:05,686
to back off.

610
00:40:07,353 --> 00:40:08,922
And you owe me for a taillight.

611
00:40:13,992 --> 00:40:15,695
[suspenseful music]

612
00:40:37,516 --> 00:40:39,152
[door creaks open]

613
00:40:41,054 --> 00:40:42,987
- [lamp clicks]
- [grunting]

614
00:40:42,989 --> 00:40:44,023
[Danny] Back off!

615
00:40:45,824 --> 00:40:47,326
[grunting]
[thudding]

616
00:40:50,329 --> 00:40:51,364
[glass shatters]

617
00:40:52,398 --> 00:40:54,867
[grunting]
[choking]

618
00:41:04,344 --> 00:41:06,713
[biting]
[screaming]

619
00:41:26,032 --> 00:41:26,967
[sirens in distance]

620
00:41:35,474 --> 00:41:36,541
All right.

621
00:41:36,543 --> 00:41:37,978
We're just about done here.

622
00:41:38,244 --> 00:41:39,443
Anything else
you could think of.

623
00:41:39,445 --> 00:41:40,978
Like what?

624
00:41:40,980 --> 00:41:42,916
Like maybe why someone
would wanna kill you.

625
00:41:43,416 --> 00:41:45,352
Aside from half
the cops in this city?

626
00:41:45,585 --> 00:41:47,083
Aside from them.

627
00:41:47,085 --> 00:41:48,586
'Cause any of them
woulda done a better job

628
00:41:48,588 --> 00:41:50,023
than what happened
here tonight.

629
00:41:50,422 --> 00:41:51,991
Nobody I can think of.

630
00:41:53,393 --> 00:41:54,494
All right. Thanks, doc.

631
00:41:54,994 --> 00:41:56,994
Keep in mind what I got
from you is only

632
00:41:56,996 --> 00:41:58,231
one side of the story.

633
00:41:58,565 --> 00:42:00,166
The true side, Frank.

634
00:42:01,835 --> 00:42:04,367
The side that used to count
for something in this city.

635
00:42:04,369 --> 00:42:06,503
After we get the ballistics
in on the gun

636
00:42:06,505 --> 00:42:09,139
and find out something about
this guy you say ran off,

637
00:42:09,141 --> 00:42:10,376
we gonna be talkin' again.

638
00:42:10,976 --> 00:42:12,976
Hey Frank, you get
a hit on that gun,

639
00:42:12,978 --> 00:42:15,014
I'd appreciate knowin'
where it came from.

640
00:42:17,349 --> 00:42:18,851
What are you a cop
or something?

641
00:42:19,085 --> 00:42:21,117
Let me tell you something,
tough guy.

642
00:42:21,119 --> 00:42:23,289
If I find even a smidge of
something I can arrest you for,

643
00:42:23,523 --> 00:42:25,055
I will bury you.

644
00:42:25,057 --> 00:42:26,927
I will fuckin' bury you
and enjoy doing in.

645
00:42:27,226 --> 00:42:29,262
You think I say that
'cause you a bent cop?

646
00:42:29,494 --> 00:42:32,498
Because your partner
killed a cop, a good cop?

647
00:42:33,632 --> 00:42:35,034
Thought crossed my mind.

648
00:42:35,367 --> 00:42:36,402
You'd be wrong.

649
00:42:37,135 --> 00:42:38,838
I'll say that cause
you a scumbag.

650
00:42:39,472 --> 00:42:41,141
Ask me why you a scumbag.

651
00:42:41,541 --> 00:42:43,410
Why am I a scumbag?

652
00:42:43,610 --> 00:42:47,181
Because I've been on the job 18
years, 9 months, and 22 days,

653
00:42:47,512 --> 00:42:49,248
and I don't have
a gold shield.

654
00:42:49,581 --> 00:42:51,585
Ask me why I don't have
a gold shield.

655
00:42:52,385 --> 00:42:54,284
Why don't you have
a gold shield?

656
00:42:54,286 --> 00:42:56,253
'Cause the day you
and your partner got caught,

657
00:42:56,255 --> 00:42:58,255
the bosses stopped all
promotions until

658
00:42:58,257 --> 00:43:01,194
they completed an investigation
into police corruption.

659
00:43:01,927 --> 00:43:03,496
I still don't have
my gold shield.

660
00:43:04,097 --> 00:43:06,900
And that, my friend,
is why you are a scumbag.

661
00:43:07,400 --> 00:43:08,402
We good?

662
00:43:09,168 --> 00:43:10,304
Good as gold.

663
00:43:11,103 --> 00:43:12,138
Have a nice evening.

664
00:43:12,538 --> 00:43:13,539
Hey, Frank!

665
00:43:14,139 --> 00:43:15,608
You, uh, got a card?

666
00:43:16,476 --> 00:43:18,075
Just in case I have
any questions

667
00:43:18,077 --> 00:43:20,110
or in the unlikely event
that you're not as lousy

668
00:43:20,112 --> 00:43:21,581
at your job as
I think you are?

669
00:43:24,684 --> 00:43:25,919
All out.

670
00:43:32,125 --> 00:43:34,126
[indistinct radio chatter]

671
00:43:42,235 --> 00:43:43,604
[dial tone]

672
00:43:45,605 --> 00:43:46,505
[Rebecca] Hello?

673
00:43:47,440 --> 00:43:49,610
You put a tracking device
underneath my car.

674
00:43:50,076 --> 00:43:52,945
And you took it out which means
I'm gonna have to put it back.

675
00:43:53,346 --> 00:43:54,981
Someone just tried
to kill me.

676
00:43:56,215 --> 00:43:57,617
I don't know anything
about that.

677
00:43:58,117 --> 00:44:00,351
I'm sure you don't,
but if it happens again,

678
00:44:00,353 --> 00:44:02,253
I'll be sending your
little package to the media

679
00:44:02,255 --> 00:44:04,722
with everything I know about
the Jennifer Pierce case.

680
00:44:04,724 --> 00:44:06,222
Who the fuck...

681
00:44:06,224 --> 00:44:07,260
[phone beeps]

682
00:44:13,298 --> 00:44:14,534
[phone ringing]

683
00:44:16,068 --> 00:44:17,237
[groaning]

684
00:44:18,670 --> 00:44:21,440
[woman groaning]
Who's on the phone?

685
00:44:21,974 --> 00:44:23,376
- [sighs]
- [phone beeps]

686
00:44:25,411 --> 00:44:27,979
Who's this, and why you callin'
in the middle of the night?

687
00:44:27,981 --> 00:44:29,016
[Danny] Jimmy?

688
00:44:29,715 --> 00:44:31,083
Who is it, Jimmy?

689
00:44:31,751 --> 00:44:33,253
Yeah, hold on a second.

690
00:44:34,554 --> 00:44:35,987
Jimmy, who is it?

691
00:44:35,989 --> 00:44:37,456
It's okay. I got this.
Go to bed.

692
00:44:41,760 --> 00:44:44,228
Hey, you better be callin' me
cause you hit the lotto

693
00:44:44,230 --> 00:44:45,465
because anything else...

694
00:44:46,398 --> 00:44:47,601
is gonna be a real problem.

695
00:44:48,400 --> 00:44:49,435
I need a favor.

696
00:44:50,135 --> 00:44:51,505
What's up?

697
00:44:51,771 --> 00:44:53,707
I may have a lead on what happened
that night with Driscoll.

698
00:44:55,041 --> 00:44:56,673
I need files though.

699
00:44:56,675 --> 00:45:00,279
Unsolved homicide, 3 years ago,
woman named Jennifer Pierce.

700
00:45:00,713 --> 00:45:02,548
Uh, I'll see
what I can do.

701
00:45:05,083 --> 00:45:07,453
Meet me at the Anaconda,
1 o'clock, you're buying.

702
00:45:09,489 --> 00:45:11,023
Shame on you, Jimmy.

703
00:45:15,027 --> 00:45:16,226
What am I supposed to do?

704
00:45:16,228 --> 00:45:17,330
Turn my back on him?

705
00:45:17,797 --> 00:45:19,065
Yes.

706
00:45:20,032 --> 00:45:21,233
That's exactly what
you're supposed to do.

707
00:45:26,204 --> 00:45:27,574
Just walk away from it.

708
00:45:30,143 --> 00:45:31,177
Please.

709
00:45:33,045 --> 00:45:34,080
Jimmy.

710
00:45:38,117 --> 00:45:39,450
- What about us?
- [stammering] What ab...

711
00:45:39,452 --> 00:45:41,521
What about all
the conversations?

712
00:45:47,326 --> 00:45:48,362
Please.

713
00:45:49,795 --> 00:45:51,163
I'm all he's got.

714
00:45:58,503 --> 00:46:00,172
[birds chirping]

715
00:46:05,744 --> 00:46:07,748
[Jimmy] Eh, this place
is all fished out.

716
00:46:08,514 --> 00:46:10,450
So I know I haven't
lost my touch.

717
00:46:11,117 --> 00:46:12,753
[sirens in distance]

718
00:46:16,755 --> 00:46:18,491
What you wanted
on the car bombing.

719
00:46:20,358 --> 00:46:23,063
It's an ongoing
investigation so, uh...

720
00:46:23,695 --> 00:46:25,463
The material's highly
sensitive which means

721
00:46:25,465 --> 00:46:27,363
don't ask any questions
which also means

722
00:46:27,365 --> 00:46:29,235
get the fuck
out of my face.

723
00:46:29,802 --> 00:46:32,202
The materials on the
forensics that was, uh...

724
00:46:32,204 --> 00:46:33,470
That was more difficult.

725
00:46:33,472 --> 00:46:35,606
Luckily I had a buddy
in forensics.

726
00:46:35,608 --> 00:46:37,575
Somebody shut down access.

727
00:46:37,577 --> 00:46:39,746
- Any idea who?
- Somebody high up.

728
00:46:41,614 --> 00:46:42,679
[sighs]

729
00:46:42,681 --> 00:46:43,750
What's it all about?

730
00:46:46,318 --> 00:46:49,153
Charlie was working something
on a guy named "Pierce."

731
00:46:49,155 --> 00:46:51,191
Husband of the woman
who got blown up.

732
00:46:51,456 --> 00:46:53,389
I think that's why
Driscoll killed him.

733
00:46:53,391 --> 00:46:54,693
Charlie found out
what they were into.

734
00:46:56,596 --> 00:46:58,331
Whatever you're chasing
is a dead end.

735
00:47:02,400 --> 00:47:03,900
You have any idea
what kind of money

736
00:47:03,902 --> 00:47:06,305
Charlie was into the Shylocks
in this town for?

737
00:47:07,340 --> 00:47:08,608
Forty-two five.

738
00:47:09,474 --> 00:47:11,876
Forty-two five to three
different Shys in this town,

739
00:47:11,878 --> 00:47:13,747
and that's the kinda money
that gets you bent.

740
00:47:15,715 --> 00:47:16,746
April 6th.

741
00:47:16,748 --> 00:47:18,317
- Still on?
- Still on.

742
00:47:18,684 --> 00:47:20,918
You go after Driscoll,
I can't help you, Danny.

743
00:47:20,920 --> 00:47:22,155
You understand that?

744
00:47:22,755 --> 00:47:24,124
I don't want your help.

745
00:47:25,391 --> 00:47:28,325
I don't give a fuck if you want
it or not, I still can't do it.

746
00:47:28,327 --> 00:47:30,226
But I can go back
to my original advice

747
00:47:30,228 --> 00:47:31,564
which is go find Kate,

748
00:47:31,898 --> 00:47:33,764
go to, uh, Paraguay

749
00:47:33,766 --> 00:47:36,536
or some godforsaken
country nobody can pronounce,

750
00:47:37,570 --> 00:47:38,772
and make a life for yourself.

751
00:47:42,541 --> 00:47:43,809
Phyllis, it's Gallagher.

752
00:47:44,844 --> 00:47:46,342
Yes?

753
00:47:46,344 --> 00:47:48,445
I need to get a court
transcript quickly.

754
00:47:48,447 --> 00:47:50,180
- We know anybody?
- We do.

755
00:47:50,182 --> 00:47:51,284
Who's transcript?

756
00:47:51,650 --> 00:47:52,685
Mine.

757
00:48:09,367 --> 00:48:10,269
[gun cocks]

758
00:48:18,878 --> 00:48:19,846
Casey.

759
00:48:22,581 --> 00:48:23,717
Was just checking in.

760
00:48:24,250 --> 00:48:25,351
Wondering how it's goin'.

761
00:48:26,351 --> 00:48:27,520
How'd you know
where I live?

762
00:48:27,719 --> 00:48:29,388
Alexis.

763
00:48:29,722 --> 00:48:31,424
She mentioned it when I dropped
her off at the airport.

764
00:48:31,791 --> 00:48:33,293
She went home, you know?

765
00:48:33,726 --> 00:48:34,693
Yeah.

766
00:48:36,362 --> 00:48:37,661
So?

767
00:48:37,663 --> 00:48:39,597
Well Pierce doesn't work
for the Treasury.

768
00:48:39,599 --> 00:48:41,731
I don't know what the hell he
does, but he ain't no accountant.

769
00:48:41,733 --> 00:48:42,835
I don't understand.

770
00:48:44,269 --> 00:48:45,401
Where's your sister's car?

771
00:48:45,403 --> 00:48:46,306
What?

772
00:48:46,938 --> 00:48:48,505
The bomb blew up
Pierce's car.

773
00:48:48,507 --> 00:48:50,340
Why wasn't your sister
driving her own?

774
00:48:50,342 --> 00:48:51,510
It was in the shop.

775
00:48:51,744 --> 00:48:54,378
- You know where it is now?
- No. I don't know.

776
00:48:54,380 --> 00:48:56,246
Do you have any idea

777
00:48:56,248 --> 00:48:58,651
why Pierce goes to a church
all the way over in Seidel?

778
00:48:59,952 --> 00:49:02,189
Bill Pierce? He never went
to church in his life.

779
00:49:03,255 --> 00:49:04,423
He's an atheist.

780
00:49:05,858 --> 00:49:07,791
[priest] Pray my brothers and
sisters,

781
00:49:07,793 --> 00:49:10,927
that our sacrifice may be
acceptable to God,

782
00:49:10,929 --> 00:49:12,731
the Almighty Father.

783
00:49:13,331 --> 00:49:15,566
May the Lord accept
this sacrifice at your hands,

784
00:49:15,568 --> 00:49:18,471
for the praise
and glory of His name,

785
00:49:18,903 --> 00:49:20,470
for our good,

786
00:49:20,472 --> 00:49:22,842
and for the good
of all His church.

787
00:49:23,376 --> 00:49:24,678
[all] Amen.

788
00:49:32,550 --> 00:49:34,386
[indistinct chatter]

789
00:49:39,891 --> 00:49:40,958
Hey, buddy!

790
00:49:40,960 --> 00:49:41,958
You got a minute?

791
00:49:41,960 --> 00:49:42,928
I'm busy at the moment.

792
00:49:44,597 --> 00:49:45,896
Great mass!

793
00:49:45,898 --> 00:49:47,400
Eh, I remember you.

794
00:49:47,967 --> 00:49:49,769
I remember everyone who
gives a nice donation.

795
00:49:50,369 --> 00:49:51,635
Gotta tell ya, buddy,

796
00:49:51,637 --> 00:49:52,802
I really enjoyed
listening to that priest

797
00:49:52,804 --> 00:49:54,570
who was here the other day.

798
00:49:54,572 --> 00:49:55,773
He was amazing!

799
00:49:55,775 --> 00:49:57,477
Oh, Father Bailey's
the best.

800
00:49:57,742 --> 00:49:58,844
He's a monsignor.

801
00:49:59,311 --> 00:50:01,480
- Is he around?
- Nope. He's traveling again.

802
00:50:02,815 --> 00:50:04,581
If it wasn't for
Father Bailey,

803
00:50:04,583 --> 00:50:05,816
people of this parish
would have nowhere to pray,

804
00:50:05,818 --> 00:50:06,849
nowhere to eat,

805
00:50:06,851 --> 00:50:08,788
Oh, he's turnin'
it around.

806
00:50:09,021 --> 00:50:10,890
- Where is he traveling?
- Middle East.

807
00:50:11,489 --> 00:50:12,956
Father Bailey is
a missionary

808
00:50:12,958 --> 00:50:14,825
for the United Nations'
World Food Program.

809
00:50:14,827 --> 00:50:15,962
The man's a saint.

810
00:50:16,528 --> 00:50:17,831
I don't know
how he does it.

811
00:50:18,664 --> 00:50:19,896
Yeah, me neither.

812
00:50:19,898 --> 00:50:21,500
- [bullets ricocheting]
- [all screaming]

813
00:50:23,068 --> 00:50:24,304
[Danny] Stay down!

814
00:50:26,838 --> 00:50:27,873
[Danny] Get down!

815
00:50:29,375 --> 00:50:30,376
Get down!

816
00:50:31,110 --> 00:50:33,280
[bullets ricocheting]

817
00:50:38,483 --> 00:50:40,420
[breathing heavily]

818
00:51:05,478 --> 00:51:07,579
[ominous music playing]

819
00:51:23,596 --> 00:51:24,630
[register dings]

820
00:51:29,434 --> 00:51:30,336
Thanks.

821
00:51:30,835 --> 00:51:32,004
[sighs]

822
00:51:36,409 --> 00:51:37,708
[phone ringing]

823
00:51:37,710 --> 00:51:38,978
[Rebecca] Hello?

824
00:51:39,177 --> 00:51:40,946
People keep trying to kill me.
It's getting annoying.

825
00:51:41,146 --> 00:51:42,514
Now my car is gone.

826
00:51:42,715 --> 00:51:44,748
It was ten years old,
had a busted taillight.

827
00:51:44,750 --> 00:51:47,454
It was a piece of shit,
but it was mine, I liked it.

828
00:51:47,853 --> 00:51:48,855
I can't help you.

829
00:51:49,454 --> 00:51:50,686
Actually, you can.

830
00:51:50,688 --> 00:51:52,054
Ask me why.

831
00:51:52,056 --> 00:51:53,690
I learned this trick
from a piece-of-shit cop.

832
00:51:53,692 --> 00:51:54,994
Go ahead; ask me why.

833
00:51:55,795 --> 00:51:57,795
Why?

834
00:51:57,797 --> 00:51:59,862
Because I followed Bill Pierce to a
church so far outside his parish

835
00:51:59,864 --> 00:52:01,533
it might as well
have been in China.

836
00:52:01,833 --> 00:52:04,034
He's delivering envelopes
to a priest who travels

837
00:52:04,036 --> 00:52:06,039
to the Middle East
every couple of weeks.

838
00:52:07,106 --> 00:52:08,708
Not on the phone.
I'll meet you.

839
00:52:09,507 --> 00:52:10,474
Great idea.

840
00:52:10,476 --> 00:52:12,010
Gas station. Exit 37.

841
00:52:13,112 --> 00:52:15,782
- [thunder rumbles]
- [ominous music]

842
00:52:36,969 --> 00:52:38,001
Get out.

843
00:52:38,003 --> 00:52:39,038
It's raining.

844
00:52:39,972 --> 00:52:41,441
Get out.

845
00:52:49,949 --> 00:52:50,983
Arms.

846
00:53:06,197 --> 00:53:07,666
In the passenger seat.

847
00:53:21,179 --> 00:53:24,213
What does Pierce do for the
Department of Fiscal Oversight,

848
00:53:24,215 --> 00:53:26,552
which by the way
doesn't actually exist.

849
00:53:26,885 --> 00:53:28,086
He's an analyst.

850
00:53:29,188 --> 00:53:31,255
He's decoding transmissions
between certain countries

851
00:53:31,257 --> 00:53:33,025
that might pose
a threat to us.

852
00:53:33,858 --> 00:53:36,695
He's selling those
transmissions to the Iranians.

853
00:53:36,996 --> 00:53:39,032
The monsignor is
passing them along.

854
00:53:39,697 --> 00:53:41,099
But we're not after Pierce.

855
00:53:42,134 --> 00:53:44,166
We're after who he's
working with,

856
00:53:44,168 --> 00:53:45,637
someone higher up.

857
00:53:45,838 --> 00:53:47,574
Who killed
Jennifer Pierce?

858
00:53:48,541 --> 00:53:49,576
The Iranians.

859
00:53:50,742 --> 00:53:51,777
How do you know that?

860
00:53:52,545 --> 00:53:54,681
The bomb was made in Iran...

861
00:53:55,114 --> 00:53:57,650
with materials from
the Ukraine and Russia.

862
00:53:57,949 --> 00:54:00,085
If Pierce was working with
them, why would they kill him?

863
00:54:00,318 --> 00:54:03,590
A very important Iranian
agent was recently lost.

864
00:54:04,188 --> 00:54:05,190
"Lost?"

865
00:54:07,159 --> 00:54:08,528
Eliminated.

866
00:54:09,193 --> 00:54:10,829
The bombing was payback.

867
00:54:11,297 --> 00:54:15,235
Pierce's wife had the
misfortune of driving his car

868
00:54:15,733 --> 00:54:17,103
the morning she was killed.

869
00:54:18,003 --> 00:54:19,735
Her name was Jennifer.

870
00:54:19,737 --> 00:54:20,938
You slept with her.

871
00:54:20,940 --> 00:54:21,840
Why can't you
say her name?

872
00:54:22,641 --> 00:54:23,742
It was her idea.

873
00:54:24,342 --> 00:54:25,944
Who tried to
kill me today?

874
00:54:27,012 --> 00:54:27,945
The agency.

875
00:54:27,947 --> 00:54:28,847
You?

876
00:54:29,248 --> 00:54:30,148
No.

877
00:54:31,215 --> 00:54:32,719
I have been reassigned.

878
00:54:36,255 --> 00:54:37,690
Because I wouldn't do it.

879
00:54:38,990 --> 00:54:40,059
Lose me?

880
00:54:40,858 --> 00:54:42,358
- Yes.
- Why?

881
00:54:42,360 --> 00:54:44,029
Because I think
it's wrong.

882
00:54:44,762 --> 00:54:45,864
To lose you.

883
00:54:46,831 --> 00:54:48,233
Why'd you agree
to meet today?

884
00:54:49,635 --> 00:54:52,171
To convince you
to back off.

885
00:54:54,873 --> 00:54:56,940
Was it the agency in my
loft the other night?

886
00:54:56,942 --> 00:54:58,275
I told you.

887
00:54:58,277 --> 00:54:59,646
It wasn't us.

888
00:55:02,614 --> 00:55:03,849
[truck honks]

889
00:55:08,253 --> 00:55:10,623
You're gonna have
to start trusting me.

890
00:55:11,724 --> 00:55:12,992
Because if you don't...

891
00:55:13,759 --> 00:55:14,927
You're a dead man.

892
00:55:16,161 --> 00:55:18,664
Aren't you a little bit sorry
for what happened to her?

893
00:55:20,065 --> 00:55:21,099
Yes.

894
00:55:25,704 --> 00:55:27,871
Tell her brother
that his sister

895
00:55:27,873 --> 00:55:29,342
died in an accident.

896
00:55:30,141 --> 00:55:32,044
Make up a story that
he will believe.

897
00:55:42,920 --> 00:55:44,756
[dramatic string music]

898
00:55:51,230 --> 00:55:53,065
[dramatic thud echoes]

899
00:55:59,405 --> 00:56:00,640
Here you go, man.

900
00:56:03,775 --> 00:56:06,242
Eddie, it could get dirty.

901
00:56:06,244 --> 00:56:07,276
This car?

902
00:56:07,278 --> 00:56:08,811
Never seen it before.

903
00:56:08,813 --> 00:56:10,048
Looks stolen to me.

904
00:56:11,150 --> 00:56:13,019
- Let's go.
- All right, man.

905
00:56:20,793 --> 00:56:22,662
- [indistinct chatter]
- [office phones ringing]

906
00:56:33,972 --> 00:56:35,008
Hey, you.

907
00:56:40,045 --> 00:56:41,079
Here you go.

908
00:56:42,114 --> 00:56:43,148
Thanks.

909
00:56:43,815 --> 00:56:45,248
Are you staying
out of trouble?

910
00:56:45,250 --> 00:56:46,249
Absolutely.

911
00:56:46,251 --> 00:56:47,754
Do you wanna
get in some?

912
00:56:49,054 --> 00:56:50,222
I'm free tonight.

913
00:56:51,324 --> 00:56:53,155
Now why would you wanna go
and do that to yourself?

914
00:56:53,157 --> 00:56:55,358
Well, what can I say?
I'm a glutton for empty sex.

915
00:56:55,360 --> 00:56:57,262
It's probably my
Catholic upbringing.

916
00:56:58,329 --> 00:57:00,032
[indistinct news reporter]

917
00:57:00,898 --> 00:57:01,933
What's goin' on?

918
00:57:02,233 --> 00:57:04,002
Oh, there was
a fire at a church.

919
00:57:05,103 --> 00:57:08,405
Monsignor Bailey, a beloved
figure in the parish,

920
00:57:08,407 --> 00:57:11,074
was the only person
to die in the fire.

921
00:57:11,076 --> 00:57:14,280
Apparently overtaken
by smoke inhalation.

922
00:57:14,847 --> 00:57:18,081
That window there
was the monsignor's residence.

923
00:57:18,083 --> 00:57:21,418
The struggling parish was facing
financial troubles of late.

924
00:57:21,420 --> 00:57:25,391
A new monsignor was leading the
church back from the brink of...

925
00:57:25,923 --> 00:57:27,460
[inaudible]

926
00:57:30,762 --> 00:57:31,463
[man] It's Mr. Loach.

927
00:57:44,342 --> 00:57:45,444
We can go.

928
00:57:53,184 --> 00:57:55,221
[suspenseful music]

929
00:58:27,452 --> 00:58:29,222
[crickets chirping]

930
00:59:01,018 --> 00:59:02,788
[music fades]

931
00:59:21,273 --> 00:59:22,942
[phone ringing]

932
00:59:24,342 --> 00:59:26,011
[phone ringing]

933
00:59:27,478 --> 00:59:29,147
[phone ringing]

934
00:59:49,034 --> 00:59:50,068
[footsteps]

935
00:59:51,469 --> 00:59:53,172
[tense music]

936
00:59:54,472 --> 00:59:56,108
[footsteps]

937
01:00:04,282 --> 01:00:06,251
I tried calling you.
You didn't answer.

938
01:00:07,018 --> 01:00:08,186
I don't trust you.

939
01:00:09,288 --> 01:00:10,990
- Priest is gone.
- I know.

940
01:00:11,356 --> 01:00:13,088
What happened?

941
01:00:13,090 --> 01:00:14,993
I found out who Pierce was
working with at the agency.

942
01:00:15,360 --> 01:00:16,495
Tom Loach.

943
01:00:17,228 --> 01:00:18,494
His supervisor.

944
01:00:18,496 --> 01:00:20,530
I turned in my report
to my superior.

945
01:00:20,532 --> 01:00:22,268
Ten hours later,
the priest is dead.

946
01:00:24,402 --> 01:00:26,071
What the hell did
you do that for?

947
01:00:26,371 --> 01:00:28,907
I am not out here running
around unaccountable.

948
01:00:29,340 --> 01:00:32,411
I'm supposed to be tracking down
terrorists and their money sources.

949
01:00:33,110 --> 01:00:34,443
If I can't trust
my superiors,

950
01:00:34,445 --> 01:00:36,414
then who can I trust?

951
01:00:37,481 --> 01:00:39,652
Obviously it was
a mistake.

952
01:00:40,485 --> 01:00:42,421
This goes higher
than I thought.

953
01:00:43,355 --> 01:00:44,389
You think?

954
01:00:45,090 --> 01:00:46,459
They're cleaning house.

955
01:00:47,659 --> 01:00:49,996
Pierce is next, then you.

956
01:00:51,596 --> 01:00:52,898
Me after.

957
01:00:53,364 --> 01:00:54,463
Where is Pierce?

958
01:00:54,465 --> 01:00:55,398
I don't know.

959
01:00:55,400 --> 01:00:56,999
Gone? Lost?

960
01:00:57,001 --> 01:00:59,438
More likely hiding,
but they're gonna find him.

961
01:01:02,740 --> 01:01:04,309
I thought you should know.

962
01:01:06,644 --> 01:01:07,679
Thanks.

963
01:01:16,221 --> 01:01:17,956
[slow keyboard music]

964
01:01:54,425 --> 01:01:56,027
[dogs barking in distance]

965
01:02:04,802 --> 01:02:06,036
What's up, G?

966
01:02:06,038 --> 01:02:07,005
Hey, Dougie,
how you doin'?

967
01:02:07,371 --> 01:02:08,673
I was doin' better
a minute ago.

968
01:02:09,173 --> 01:02:10,275
You're back on the job?

969
01:02:10,608 --> 01:02:11,978
I got a private thing.

970
01:02:13,411 --> 01:02:15,811
Here's a list of materials
was used in the car bombing.

971
01:02:15,813 --> 01:02:17,613
I need to know where
they came from,

972
01:02:17,615 --> 01:02:19,048
whether they're foreign
or domestic.

973
01:02:19,050 --> 01:02:20,518
I don't do that
kinda thing no more.

974
01:02:21,286 --> 01:02:23,389
I'm out. Been out.

975
01:02:24,322 --> 01:02:25,490
And I'd like
to stay out.

976
01:02:26,324 --> 01:02:27,624
I'm giving myself
a chance here.

977
01:02:27,626 --> 01:02:28,691
I gave you a chance.

978
01:02:28,693 --> 01:02:29,996
[woman] Dougie!

979
01:02:31,362 --> 01:02:32,364
Everything all right?

980
01:02:32,731 --> 01:02:33,662
Yeah!

981
01:02:33,664 --> 01:02:35,166
G's an old friend.

982
01:02:39,637 --> 01:02:40,538
G.

983
01:02:41,373 --> 01:02:42,708
What I got here
ain't much.

984
01:02:43,275 --> 01:02:45,277
But that kid?
He's mine.

985
01:02:46,411 --> 01:02:47,644
I get it, Dougie.

986
01:02:47,646 --> 01:02:48,581
I really do.

987
01:02:48,813 --> 01:02:50,648
This is a one-time deal,
okay?

988
01:02:57,688 --> 01:03:01,724
The battery, the wires,
the timer, even the C-4,

989
01:03:01,726 --> 01:03:03,329
you get that
stuff anywhere.

990
01:03:03,628 --> 01:03:04,760
You wanna know what?

991
01:03:04,762 --> 01:03:06,331
Whether it's foreign
or domestic.

992
01:03:06,664 --> 01:03:07,565
There's a guy,

993
01:03:08,132 --> 01:03:09,100
Chuck Cumming,

994
01:03:09,568 --> 01:03:11,568
mad genius with explosives.

995
01:03:11,570 --> 01:03:13,369
Back in the day,
he was the go-to

996
01:03:13,371 --> 01:03:15,137
for anything and anybody.

997
01:03:15,139 --> 01:03:16,174
Will he talk to me?

998
01:03:17,141 --> 01:03:18,309
Probably not. He's gonna
think you're a cop.

999
01:03:19,210 --> 01:03:20,478
Tell him you're my friend,

1000
01:03:21,346 --> 01:03:23,048
- and, "I
- emember Bernadette."

1001
01:03:23,248 --> 01:03:24,447
"Bernadette?"

1002
01:03:24,449 --> 01:03:25,849
No cop will know
anything about that.

1003
01:03:25,851 --> 01:03:27,787
And if he's not around,
don't blame me.

1004
01:03:34,159 --> 01:03:35,693
[suspenseful music]

1005
01:04:17,434 --> 01:04:18,804
[birds caw]

1006
01:04:45,829 --> 01:04:47,165
[grunts]

1007
01:04:47,565 --> 01:04:48,600
[screaming]

1008
01:04:51,735 --> 01:04:53,438
[glass shatters]

1009
01:04:55,873 --> 01:04:57,273
Stranger!

1010
01:04:57,275 --> 01:04:58,911
Wait a goddamn minute!

1011
01:05:02,514 --> 01:05:03,682
[choking, gagging]

1012
01:05:04,382 --> 01:05:06,950
Dougie, I'm a friend
of Bernadette!

1013
01:05:06,952 --> 01:05:08,254
Bernadette!

1014
01:05:08,552 --> 01:05:09,619
What?

1015
01:05:09,621 --> 01:05:10,722
Bernadette!

1016
01:05:12,257 --> 01:05:14,159
[gagging] Bernadette!

1017
01:05:19,396 --> 01:05:21,266
That ANFO could've
been made anywhere.

1018
01:05:22,233 --> 01:05:23,235
ANFO?

1019
01:05:23,768 --> 01:05:26,235
Ammonium Nitrate,
fertilizer, and oil,

1020
01:05:26,237 --> 01:05:27,438
common bullshit.

1021
01:05:28,706 --> 01:05:30,472
Device explodes, there are gonna
be elements that are released.

1022
01:05:30,474 --> 01:05:31,576
They're called taggants.

1023
01:05:32,610 --> 01:05:35,580
Same principle for tracing
ballistics on a bullet.

1024
01:05:36,280 --> 01:05:37,349
But it takes time.

1025
01:05:37,715 --> 01:05:38,981
I don't have time.

1026
01:05:38,983 --> 01:05:39,951
Hm.

1027
01:05:41,920 --> 01:05:44,287
You can try tracing
the pipe

1028
01:05:44,289 --> 01:05:46,458
back to the plumbing
supply source.

1029
01:05:47,492 --> 01:05:50,196
Same as the timer and the wire,
but that takes time too.

1030
01:05:54,465 --> 01:05:55,634
Ah, wait a minute.
Here's something.

1031
01:05:57,034 --> 01:05:58,971
[chuckles]

1032
01:06:00,472 --> 01:06:02,675
I'm so fucking good
at what I do.

1033
01:06:03,407 --> 01:06:04,442
Passion.

1034
01:06:05,409 --> 01:06:06,644
All about passion.

1035
01:06:09,780 --> 01:06:11,217
Check out the initiator.

1036
01:06:12,349 --> 01:06:13,552
The blasting caps.

1037
01:06:14,585 --> 01:06:15,620
What about them?

1038
01:06:16,621 --> 01:06:18,590
They're color-coated to
the manufacturer, right?

1039
01:06:18,822 --> 01:06:20,623
And these colors here,
what we're looking at,

1040
01:06:20,625 --> 01:06:22,325
come from one place
and one place only.

1041
01:06:22,327 --> 01:06:23,362
Well, where's that?

1042
01:06:23,762 --> 01:06:24,697
Atglen.

1043
01:06:25,664 --> 01:06:26,632
Atglen?

1044
01:06:27,032 --> 01:06:28,363
Atglen, Greece?

1045
01:06:28,365 --> 01:06:29,731
No. Atglen about
100 miles away.

1046
01:06:29,733 --> 01:06:30,635
Atglen.

1047
01:06:30,934 --> 01:06:31,971
You sure?

1048
01:06:32,871 --> 01:06:33,905
What?

1049
01:06:36,007 --> 01:06:38,911
Is there any way this bomb
could've been foreign-made?

1050
01:06:39,476 --> 01:06:41,346
You asking me
if I know my shit?

1051
01:06:44,349 --> 01:06:45,251
No.

1052
01:06:49,920 --> 01:06:51,456
Can I ask you
another question?

1053
01:06:52,456 --> 01:06:53,491
Why not?

1054
01:06:54,793 --> 01:06:55,728
Who's Bernadette?

1055
01:06:58,862 --> 01:07:01,332
You ever have something,
meant everything to you?

1056
01:07:03,768 --> 01:07:05,834
Yeah, I can see it
in your eyes.

1057
01:07:05,836 --> 01:07:07,005
Destroys you.

1058
01:07:08,340 --> 01:07:09,942
It's like taking
your gut and just...

1059
01:07:10,775 --> 01:07:12,677
spilling it
all over the floor.

1060
01:07:14,679 --> 01:07:15,981
Don't let it get away.

1061
01:07:19,016 --> 01:07:21,386
Ain't nothin' worth shit
without it.

1062
01:07:33,664 --> 01:07:35,367
I need something
else from you.

1063
01:07:35,833 --> 01:07:36,800
What's that?

1064
01:07:40,672 --> 01:07:41,706
A throwaway.

1065
01:07:42,039 --> 01:07:43,875
Something that
can't be traced.

1066
01:07:44,442 --> 01:07:45,744
And a silencer.

1067
01:07:46,911 --> 01:07:48,012
Give me a day.

1068
01:07:53,617 --> 01:07:55,420
- [birds chirping]
- [ominous music]

1069
01:08:04,695 --> 01:08:05,898
Tell me about this.

1070
01:08:09,000 --> 01:08:10,802
I'm sure you know
all about it.

1071
01:08:12,771 --> 01:08:14,340
I want to hear it
from you.

1072
01:08:19,610 --> 01:08:21,510
My partner and I were
trying to take down

1073
01:08:21,512 --> 01:08:23,515
a drug dealer
named Driscoll.

1074
01:08:25,449 --> 01:08:26,484
It went sour.

1075
01:08:27,085 --> 01:08:28,851
There was an
undercover narc from

1076
01:08:28,853 --> 01:08:31,123
another operation on the boat
that we didn't know about.

1077
01:08:32,122 --> 01:08:33,424
Charlie killed him.

1078
01:08:33,957 --> 01:08:35,126
Driscoll got caught.

1079
01:08:35,726 --> 01:08:36,894
Painted us as bent.

1080
01:08:38,095 --> 01:08:39,130
Were you bent?

1081
01:08:39,797 --> 01:08:40,733
No.

1082
01:08:43,734 --> 01:08:45,703
But I'm not so
sure about Charlie.

1083
01:08:46,671 --> 01:08:48,039
What they did to you,

1084
01:08:48,605 --> 01:08:50,809
they did to my last partner
in the field.

1085
01:08:54,145 --> 01:08:56,515
A good man
who gave them everything.

1086
01:08:59,216 --> 01:09:02,387
He hung himself before they
could beat him to the punch.

1087
01:09:09,560 --> 01:09:11,063
You lied about the bomb.

1088
01:09:13,064 --> 01:09:14,833
It wasn't foreign made.

1089
01:09:18,802 --> 01:09:20,605
I needed you
to walk away.

1090
01:09:21,206 --> 01:09:23,141
You knew Pierce
killed his wife.

1091
01:09:24,175 --> 01:09:25,911
It wasn't important to us.

1092
01:09:26,610 --> 01:09:28,079
So you buried the report.

1093
01:09:29,546 --> 01:09:31,817
We have secrets,
they have secrets.

1094
01:09:32,649 --> 01:09:36,187
In the end makes no
difference whatsoever.

1095
01:09:37,889 --> 01:09:39,525
Everyone is corrupt.

1096
01:09:41,059 --> 01:09:42,094
You're a cop.

1097
01:09:43,028 --> 01:09:44,896
You don't know that,
you don't know anything.

1098
01:09:52,069 --> 01:09:53,505
[Rebecca]
I am not a monster.

1099
01:09:54,204 --> 01:09:55,740
I liked Jennifer.

1100
01:09:56,875 --> 01:09:57,943
Why'd he kill her?

1101
01:09:58,542 --> 01:10:00,742
She was taping his
phone conversations.

1102
01:10:00,744 --> 01:10:02,980
She knew that whatever
he was doing, it was wrong.

1103
01:10:03,948 --> 01:10:06,018
"Something terrible,"
is what she said.

1104
01:10:09,820 --> 01:10:10,922
Where's his money?

1105
01:10:11,923 --> 01:10:13,022
I mean he's obviously
got a stash somewhere.

1106
01:10:13,024 --> 01:10:15,258
I doubt he'd trust the
bank, too easy to trace.

1107
01:10:15,260 --> 01:10:16,695
He didn't. I checked.

1108
01:10:18,195 --> 01:10:19,762
Okay, so, if I'm him,

1109
01:10:19,764 --> 01:10:22,601
I'm hiding, just waiting
for the right time,

1110
01:10:22,934 --> 01:10:24,735
grab the money,
and I'm running.

1111
01:10:25,036 --> 01:10:27,702
We find Pierce,
make this thing public.

1112
01:10:27,704 --> 01:10:28,806
It's our best shot.

1113
01:10:38,615 --> 01:10:39,851
[elevator bell dings]

1114
01:10:50,795 --> 01:10:52,029
Hey, buddy,
you got a light?

1115
01:10:56,701 --> 01:10:57,735
Thanks.

1116
01:10:59,237 --> 01:11:00,605
Say, do we know
each other?

1117
01:11:01,738 --> 01:11:03,574
Jack Bagby, up on nine.

1118
01:11:03,942 --> 01:11:04,976
Tom Loach.

1119
01:11:05,643 --> 01:11:07,011
- I don't think so.
- Huh.

1120
01:11:08,046 --> 01:11:10,780
Must've been just out
here stealing a smoke.

1121
01:11:10,782 --> 01:11:12,050
It's a great leveler.

1122
01:11:12,350 --> 01:11:13,585
Yeah.

1123
01:11:15,819 --> 01:11:17,121
[sharp inhale] Thanks, pal.

1124
01:11:20,757 --> 01:11:22,059
[phone ringing]

1125
01:11:23,828 --> 01:11:24,893
Yeah?

1126
01:11:24,895 --> 01:11:25,697
[Rebecca]
I found something.

1127
01:11:26,530 --> 01:11:28,330
I found a ticket
for long-term parking.

1128
01:11:28,332 --> 01:11:31,002
It was taped to the
underside of Pierce's desk.

1129
01:11:31,668 --> 01:11:33,070
Jennifer Pierce's car.

1130
01:11:33,270 --> 01:11:35,006
Has to be
where the money is.

1131
01:11:36,173 --> 01:11:37,141
Where is it?

1132
01:11:37,809 --> 01:11:39,244
The terminal
by the old pier.

1133
01:11:43,680 --> 01:11:44,782
I'll meet you there.

1134
01:11:46,149 --> 01:11:47,920
[suspenseful music]

1135
01:11:59,663 --> 01:12:00,396
[Casey] Hello?

1136
01:12:00,398 --> 01:12:01,600
Casey, Gallagher.

1137
01:12:02,065 --> 01:12:03,769
Need you to call a cop
named Schuhmann.

1138
01:12:52,684 --> 01:12:54,252
[horn blowing]

1139
01:13:09,399 --> 01:13:10,835
[gunshot, loud clang]

1140
01:13:14,771 --> 01:13:16,675
[suspenseful music]

1141
01:13:22,012 --> 01:13:23,047
[chain rattles]

1142
01:13:40,832 --> 01:13:42,134
[machinery whirs]

1143
01:13:56,146 --> 01:13:57,114
[grunts]

1144
01:13:58,916 --> 01:14:00,085
- Where is she?
- I don't know!

1145
01:14:02,052 --> 01:14:04,085
- Where is she?
- I... Okay! Okay!

1146
01:14:04,087 --> 01:14:06,354
She's here somewhere! I don't know where!
I swear I don't!

1147
01:14:06,356 --> 01:14:09,224
Your supervisor, Tom Loach, isn't
feeding you any secrets, is he?

1148
01:14:09,226 --> 01:14:11,227
What?

1149
01:14:11,229 --> 01:14:12,827
You're stealing them on your own and
Rebecca's protecting you, right?

1150
01:14:12,829 --> 01:14:14,295
I don't know what
you're talking about!

1151
01:14:14,297 --> 01:14:15,466
- [gunshot]
- [screams]

1152
01:14:17,835 --> 01:14:19,335
I said hello
to Tom Loach.

1153
01:14:19,337 --> 01:14:21,336
He had no idea
what I looked like.

1154
01:14:21,338 --> 01:14:23,774
If he was trying to kill me,
he'd know what I look like.

1155
01:14:24,274 --> 01:14:26,142
He's investigating you
and probably her.

1156
01:14:26,144 --> 01:14:27,409
He found out about
the monsignor.

1157
01:14:27,411 --> 01:14:28,947
That's why you
killed him, right?

1158
01:14:29,814 --> 01:14:31,316
- Right?
- Yes! Yes!

1159
01:14:31,515 --> 01:14:33,782
She made me do it.
She's crazy!

1160
01:14:33,784 --> 01:14:35,851
The plan is to kill me
then take the car?

1161
01:14:35,853 --> 01:14:37,318
- Right!
- And then the car blows up.

1162
01:14:37,320 --> 01:14:39,487
- What? No! No!
- Yes! The car blows up!

1163
01:14:39,489 --> 01:14:41,257
Leaving everybody
dead, but her.

1164
01:14:41,259 --> 01:14:42,293
That's her plan!

1165
01:14:43,127 --> 01:14:45,126
- Who killed your wife?
- She did.

1166
01:14:45,128 --> 01:14:46,928
All I wanted
was the money!

1167
01:14:46,930 --> 01:14:49,333
I swear to Christ! I
didn't wanna hurt anyone!

1168
01:14:51,569 --> 01:14:52,771
[Danny] Rebecca!

1169
01:14:53,904 --> 01:14:55,172
It's over, Rebecca.

1170
01:14:57,841 --> 01:14:59,376
Loach knows. I know.

1171
01:15:14,391 --> 01:15:16,394
This was never about
your partner, was it?

1172
01:15:16,927 --> 01:15:18,195
Probably never
had a partner.

1173
01:15:18,930 --> 01:15:20,262
It's only about the money.

1174
01:15:20,264 --> 01:15:22,467
It's always about
the money, isn't it?

1175
01:15:23,201 --> 01:15:24,532
And there's a lot of it

1176
01:15:24,534 --> 01:15:26,537
inside the trunk of
Jennifer's car.

1177
01:15:28,005 --> 01:15:29,039
We can take it.

1178
01:15:29,273 --> 01:15:30,505
You and me.

1179
01:15:30,507 --> 01:15:32,844
- You fucking bitch.
- Shut the fuck up!

1180
01:15:33,377 --> 01:15:34,780
What do we do with him?

1181
01:15:35,279 --> 01:15:36,381
He doesn't count.

1182
01:15:37,081 --> 01:15:38,016
You fucking...

1183
01:15:44,322 --> 01:15:45,289
Drop it.

1184
01:15:46,957 --> 01:15:49,224
- I don't want to die.
- I don't wanna die either.

1185
01:15:49,226 --> 01:15:51,162
But if I'm gonna die,
I'm gonna die last.

1186
01:15:52,395 --> 01:15:54,099
Neither one of us
has to die.

1187
01:15:55,332 --> 01:15:57,234
He's gone.
It's only us.

1188
01:15:57,568 --> 01:15:59,037
Put the gun down.

1189
01:16:00,337 --> 01:16:01,572
You don't understand.

1190
01:16:02,573 --> 01:16:04,142
Nobody cares.

1191
01:16:05,009 --> 01:16:07,279
I tried giving them
everything I had.

1192
01:16:07,878 --> 01:16:10,181
And they spit it
right back in my face.

1193
01:16:10,881 --> 01:16:12,281
Don't you wanna...

1194
01:16:12,283 --> 01:16:14,186
make them pay for
what they did to you?

1195
01:16:14,652 --> 01:16:16,154
To your partner?

1196
01:16:19,990 --> 01:16:21,292
This is your chance.

1197
01:16:29,600 --> 01:16:32,134
All I want is to walk
away with all the money

1198
01:16:32,136 --> 01:16:33,535
that is inside that car.

1199
01:16:33,537 --> 01:16:35,539
And I want you to
walk away with me.

1200
01:16:36,073 --> 01:16:37,576
Tell me
that I can do this.

1201
01:16:39,342 --> 01:16:41,112
Tell me
that we can do this.

1202
01:16:43,046 --> 01:16:44,882
Walk over to the trunk
and get the money.

1203
01:16:47,451 --> 01:16:49,151
If we don't get
blown to hell,

1204
01:16:49,153 --> 01:16:50,956
then we can go
before they get here.

1205
01:16:52,222 --> 01:16:53,457
Before who gets here?

1206
01:16:54,391 --> 01:16:55,426
[sirens in distance]

1207
01:16:56,027 --> 01:16:57,162
That's them now.

1208
01:16:59,596 --> 01:17:01,233
You're a fucking fool!

1209
01:17:02,265 --> 01:17:04,299
It's a problem of mine.

1210
01:17:04,301 --> 01:17:05,534
What makes you think they're
gonna believe you and not me?

1211
01:17:05,536 --> 01:17:07,135
Well, the bullet
that killed him

1212
01:17:07,137 --> 01:17:08,536
came from the gun
you're holding.

1213
01:17:08,538 --> 01:17:09,608
That oughta do it.

1214
01:17:11,242 --> 01:17:12,277
Go on.

1215
01:17:13,043 --> 01:17:14,412
Go get the money.
There's still time.

1216
01:17:15,345 --> 01:17:16,380
[sirens in distance]

1217
01:17:26,023 --> 01:17:27,125
[gun clatters]

1218
01:17:34,431 --> 01:17:36,100
[indistinct radio chatter]

1219
01:17:48,511 --> 01:17:50,314
[slow string music]

1220
01:18:21,444 --> 01:18:22,947
[phone ringing]

1221
01:18:27,752 --> 01:18:28,987
- [phone beeps]
- [Jimmy] Hello?

1222
01:18:30,554 --> 01:18:31,623
[Danny] Is he out?

1223
01:18:37,627 --> 01:18:38,662
He is.

1224
01:18:41,231 --> 01:18:44,469
Turns out Driscoll had nothing to do
with that woman getting blown up.

1225
01:18:47,104 --> 01:18:48,506
[ominous music]

1226
01:18:53,210 --> 01:18:54,980
Meet me at
the Anaconda.

1227
01:18:57,180 --> 01:18:58,315
Give me half an hour.

1228
01:19:22,139 --> 01:19:23,240
[woman sobbing]

1229
01:20:24,467 --> 01:20:27,238
It's a shame a man can't
make a living selling bait.

1230
01:20:34,478 --> 01:20:36,410
Forty-two five, Jimmy.

1231
01:20:36,412 --> 01:20:37,414
Yeah, I know.

1232
01:20:40,551 --> 01:20:41,786
Yeah, I gave that up.

1233
01:20:43,354 --> 01:20:44,588
Must be getting old.

1234
01:20:46,590 --> 01:20:48,322
Wasn't quite
sure that you, uh,

1235
01:20:48,324 --> 01:20:49,426
picked up on that.

1236
01:20:50,761 --> 01:20:52,260
Charlie never
told anybody

1237
01:20:52,262 --> 01:20:54,131
how much he'd lost,
not even me.

1238
01:20:56,300 --> 01:20:57,532
I checked the
court transcripts,

1239
01:20:57,534 --> 01:20:59,203
that figure
never came up.

1240
01:21:01,538 --> 01:21:03,108
The only way you knew...

1241
01:21:03,707 --> 01:21:05,543
is cause Driscoll
told you.

1242
01:21:08,546 --> 01:21:10,615
You remember those two
hoods I told you about?

1243
01:21:11,614 --> 01:21:13,851
One day I ran into one
of them in the alley.

1244
01:21:14,918 --> 01:21:16,386
I made that prick pay.

1245
01:21:18,354 --> 01:21:20,157
I gave him a beating
he wouldn't forget.

1246
01:21:20,757 --> 01:21:22,758
