Legends never die

Alexithymiaa: -Steph stood backstage with the kittens and the posse, a beer in her hand because she was trying to settle her nerves. All of them were stage ready as the two roadies finished setting up their gear on stage for them. Having roadies was nice. She took a long sip of her beer, shaking out her legs and trying to mentally prepare for this show. // Brad stood over by the bar with a beer already in hand kind of just lingering and waiting for the show to start.-
Covet: Felix was hanging out backstage with his camera, getting candid backstage pics and what not, so that he could send them along to the label so they could do magazine and website stuff with them. // Cadence had her special spot backstage too because VIP bitches. There was no waterbottle attached to her tonight, even though there should be. She walked over to Steph, "You ready to get up there and kill it yet?" // Kelsey walked from the bathroom over to the bar, with Bradley where he was at. She bounced up next to him, " Did you order me anything to drink yet?" She asked curiously, looking at the bar.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph took a deep steadying breath, her eyes rising to look from the floor to Cadence. "As ready as I'll ever be. Did I mention that I'm really glad you're here to share this with me?" She asked, a warm smile coming through all of her dark make up. // Brad shook his head at Kelsey, shifting his arm to lean on the bar. "I didn't know what you wanted. What can I get you?" He asked her as he moved to brush her hair back behind her ear, trying to play off like he hadnt just been an inconsiderate ass.-
Covet: Felix was flipping through his photos as he walked over to the girls, Taking a picture of them as Cadence gave Steph a hug. "Aww, you guys are so sweet." He smirked, // Cadence gave Steph a hug making sure not to mess up her make up, "Dude, I wouldn't miss this shit for the world. I could be going into labor middle of your set, and I'd still be here." She laughed. // Kelsey smiled, "You know me, Something sweet and strong." She said, though Kelsey's that's a terrible choice, that's how people get hangovers. "Should be starting soon right? " She asked.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph leaned in to hug Cadence back, trying not to cry because she was already emotional over her plans. "Please don't go into labor during our set." She laughed as she released her, snapping a glance at Felix. "Pipe down over there. No one's sweet." When the roadies came bolting off the stage, the lights went dark, Steph's stomach flipping because show time. Jumping over to Felix, she gave him a tight hug for good luck before walking to the edge of the stage with the other girls. They each walked out one by one, Steph last as the music started. She jogged out in front of the microphone, grabbing it by the stand and whipping it forward as she flipped her head forward to head bang with the beginning of the song before singing. "I let you get away with thinking you're the cure. I think I'm in too deep, it's time to pull the cord." // "Right, right. How about a sex on the beach?" Brad said with a grin before turning back to the bartender to order Kelsey's drink. "Right now, seems like." He said as he handed her the drink, leaning forward a bit to watch the band start up.-
Covet: Felix looked between them both and scoffed, "Yeah okay. Couple of regular badasses over here." He grinned, letting his camera hang around his neck. Then kissed the top of Steph's head, "Break a leg up there, Red." // "Don't worry, way to early for that, but I can't make any promises in a handful of months from now." Cadence told her then gave her a thumbs up as she and the rest of the band ran on stage. She cheered out for them and clammed as the music kicked up. // Kelsey nodded her head, "Yeah, that would be perfect! Oh yay!" She said then turned to look at the stage, dancing along to the music.
Alexithymiaa: "Never never never. You are never gonna live this down. Lifes too short, I can't take it anymore. I'm the best thing that never happened to ya." She swung herself forward in time with both guitarists at the end of the song as it came to a close, righting the microphone stand and putting her hands up over her head. "We are the Krucial Kittens! We want to thank you all for coming out tonight to support us. We're so glad to be able to share the music from our upcoming EP with you so if you're into it, we're taking preorders over at the merch table with our awesome merch guys Dan and Will. Go see them, they get lonely." She smirked and pulled the microphone off the stand as the next song started. "It's a brand new day, it's never too late to start. Can't live this life with an empty heart..." // Brad took a sip of his beer as he watched the show, leaning into Kelsey so she would hear him because loud. "I hope they're not a nightmare band to work with considering we're shooting in a week for their video. I don't really know most of the rest of the band."-
Covet: Felix grinned nodding his head along with the music, Taking more pictures, before he stepped out from backstage and snuck around down front to get more pics, all the pics. // Cadence stayed safely behind Stage, because she'd promised Remy neither her nor Baby B would be heard. She was dancing a little back stage. // Kelsey leaned in hearing Brad, then furrowed her brow, " It's Steph, I doubt she's going to be any difficult than normal. The only person not allowed to be difficult, is you." She said kissing him on the cheek with a pat on his thigh, grinning back at him before she went back to dancing.
Alexithymiaa: -She waved her arm back and forth in time with the end of the song. "Let's burn a little bit brighter now. It's a brand new day, it's never too late to start..." Dropping the microphone from her mouth, she looked out across the sea of faces in the audience in front of her, taking a few deep breaths since she felt out of breath at this point. Buy some time. Good idea. "So this next one is the single off the new EP." She said as she spoke into the microphone again, stepping up onto one of the platforms at the front of the stage to be taller. "It's for every single one of you that have ever had some asshole in your life. For all those people you just want to tell them to go FUCK themselves!" She yelled, thrusting her fist into the air because rile up the crowd, I guess. That's rockerish. The guitars blared to life and she jumped into the air, landing hard on her feet and starting to rock the fuck out cause intense song. "I was better off the night before I met you. I was mesmerized and high on every word you spoke. You were born to run, but your poison tongue won't save you. Cause when you play with fire, it all goes up in smoke." She ran to one end of the stage, coiling the microphone wire around her body as she proceeded to climb the scaffolding as she continued to sing. // Brad rolled his eyes at Kelsey's remark, letting out a huff. "Just because i'm not allowed to be difficult doesnt mean they're allowed to just be jerks to me the entire shoot. Because that's kind of bullshit and you knmow it."-
Covet: Felix was watching Steph pretty close, She was supposed tbe taking it easy, but she was up there rocking her ass off. That made him just a touch nervous, especially after what the doctor told them. When she started to climb up the scaffolding he really became concerned, because bitch the last time you climbed anything you feinted, and there's no repel cord saving your ass this time. // Cadence was shaking her head at Steph as she went balls to the wall with her performance, "You're crazy but you're killing it!" She yelled out to her. // Kelsey looked at him with her mom face, "She's a professional, and you're a professional right? Neither of you should be jerks to each other. Steph is genuinly excited that you're donig this shoot, she's going to be nothing but grateful for this. Which means the band is probably going to follow." She watched Steph climbing, "What is she doing?"
Alexithymiaa: "I watched your flames rise. Destroyed your alibi. I should have warned you, you're playing with a heart that's fireproof!" She sang before starting to climb back down SAFELY. Everyone chill. She gave a little jump from the scaffolding to the stage SAFELY, running over to the middle of the stage as the song ended. She took a few deep breaths again, turning to glance at Cadence backstage a moment before looking straight out across the crowd. "So this next song... our last song... is something really close to us. It's brand new... never been heard before by anyone other than the five of us and we've been working on it unbeknownst to our friends and loved ones." She paused, pursing her lips. "There's been a lot of things I'm sure you've all seen in the media lately revolving around the strong and powerful women who have come forward against their abusers. The courage that it takes to stand up in front of the world and share your experiences is priceless." She paused again, turning to look at Cadence backstage. "No words could ever express what you've done for others by speaking out, but for that, we thank you. Cadence... Hayley... the strong women of the Nassar case, the brave women of Hollywood... we salute you." She dipped her head down to close her eyes a beat because overwhelming, listening as the music started and beginning to sing. "Legends never die. When the world is calling you. Can you hear them screaming out your name? Legends never die. They become a part of you. Everytime you bleed for reaching greatness. Relentless you survive. They never lose hope when everythings cold and the fightings near. It's deep in their bones, they'll run into smoke when the fire is fierce. Oh pick yourself up cause legends never die." He said to her before turning to look at the stage again, listening to her little speech and shutting the fuck up because respect.-
Covet: Felix gave a sight of relief when she jumped down, even if she was running around the stage. He tilted his head to the side as she announced that they'd be doing one last song and it was a new one. Smiling as she gave her dedication, he cheered out and gave a loud whistle after she spoke. // Cadence quickly pulled out her phone so that she could record this, because dude this was kind of awesome and aww, it's sweet Steph. She was getting watery eyed and emotional, more so than she probably would, but it was a big deal for her to speak up about the current issues, and for her to dedicate it to her and Hayley personally, along with the other wimmens. // Kelsey looked at Bradley, "You know some people could say the same about the director's they've worked with as well." Steph's speach caught her attention and she put her hand to her chest and gave an, "awww". She's an emotional sap like that.
Alexithymiaa: "Legends never die. They become a part of you. Everytime you bleed for reaching greatness. Legends never die..." She let her voice fade as she dropped her arm with the microphone in hand to her side, her eyes filled with tears before just letting the microphone slip from her hand and drop to the stage floor. She turned to exit the stage, walking straight for Cadence and throwing her arms around her for a hug. // Brad shifted on his feet and slipped an arm around Kelsey's waist to pull her close to him before looking at her again. "That doesnt mean I'm a difficult director to work with. I'm pretty easy going and I dont have any ridiculous quirks so...."-
Covet: Felix took a few pictures of the crowd as Steph and the kittens finished their show, then made his way backstage to find Steph, accordingly. // Cadence gave Steph a big hug back crying and shit, because she can't hold that shit back now. "That was fucking sick. And Thank you...for what you said up there." She mumbled in a warbly voice. // Kelsey whistled out and cheered as the band wrapped up, then heard his comment, she gave him another slightly condescending pat, " Oh Hun... Just because you seem normal to yourself, doesn't mean that's how everyone else sees you." She smiled and leaned up to give him a sweet kiss.
Alexithymiaa: -She leaned back to look into Cadence's face, lifting her hand to wipe her own tears off her cheeks which just ended up smearing more black make up all over the place. "You're welcome. You have no idea how hard it was to be working on this song and not be able to share with anyone. Especially the people who understood what it felt like to write it." When she saw Felix return to the backstage area, she held her hand out to him to gesture him over. // "I am normal!" He protested with a bit of a whine, turning to fully face her now. "What's wrong with the way I direct?"-
Covet: Felix made his way over and put his arms around her, pressing a kiss to her head, "Nice job out there, Red. You feeling alright?" He asked her, in a concerned tone. // Cadence's make up wasn't any better at this point. "I bet, but it was fucking worth the surprise. I recorded it for Hayley, I'll send it to her when I get home." She said wiping her cheeks and stepping back when Felix joined them again. // Grinning at Bradley, she pressed a finger to his lips as she took a long sip from her drink, " I never said anything was wrong, but if there was such a thing as normal. You'd be the farthest thing from it. But that's a really good thing. It's what makes you so great." She complimented him first, "It's just that everyone's perception is different, just don't give them a reason so see you negatively."
Alexithymiaa: -Steph hugged Felix back, taking a deep breath as she nodded to him. "I'm okay. Just a little tired and partially glad that the drive down to San Fran is so long. Gives me plenty of time to sleep and relax and wind down until tomorrow night when I get to start all over." She tipped her head against him, looking at Cadence. "I'm really glad. I wish she could have been here, but that doesnt change the words." // "But.." brad started to protest when she silenced him. "I think generally if someone is difficult to work with, everyone agrees. And no one has said that so I'm in the clear." He said and beamed at her, finishing off his beer.-
Covet: "Good, I expect to see you relaxing as much as possible between performances. The last thing I want to do is be nursing you when you get home. I will not be a happy Felix." He told her then rested his head on hers. He looked at Cadence, "That's nice of you. I'm sure she'll appreciate it." / "Yeah, It would have been awesome to have her here. She'll still be excited about it though." Cadence said then gave a bit of a yawn, brewing a baby takes a lot of energy.// Kelsey finished off her drink as well, " I dunno.. you might need to work on pleasing me a little, I might start thinking you are difficult." She said with a smirk while setting her empty glass down on the bar.
Alexithymiaa: "I willl, I will. I brought my books with me so I intend to get my reading done with my feet up between shows." She smiled at him, reaching her hand out to put it on Cadence's arm. "Feeling okay?" // Brad coughed just a bit because she caught him off guard, his smile spreading across his face. "I think that's something I can take the time to practice. Do you have any requests?"-
Covet: "Good. Because I can still get that doctor's note." Felix told her with a grin. // Nodding, Cadence looked at her, "Yeah, just tired. Baby B usually has me knocked out by ten most nights lately. Unless Baby B has me up puking. Which means, I should be getting home before I get a call from Remy asking if we're in bed yet." She laughed. "But Fucking awesome job tonight Dick." // Kelsey was highly amused as he coughed, "Hmm, surprise me?" Kelsey asked him then took his hand, She'd send Steph a message tomorrow telling her how great the show was.
Alexithymiaa: -She stepped forward to hug Cadence again before pulling back. "Alright, we won't keep you from your bed any longer. Get home safe, okay?" She asked her before elbowing Felix in the side because don't be a fucking smartass. // Brad eased away from the bar with Kelsey's hand, nodding his head like a bobblehead. "Yeah. Yeah. I can do that. I'm good at the surprises. I can surprise you."-
Covet: Felix gave a grunt then was getting noticeably fidgity because he needed his nic fix man. So he poked her back a couple of times. " How much do we got to do before we can go outside?" // "I will, I'll message you when I get home safe." She told them. "You guys have a good rest of your night. Celebrate or something." Cadence laughed as she headed towards an exit to go back to the home place. // Kelsey grinned at him, "Good boy." She said as they worked their way through the crowd towards the exit.
Alexithymiaa: -She waved to Cadence as she took off, turning to face Felix. "Well Dan and Will are going to pack up all the gear and merch table and load everything into the trailer, but I want to change and stuff before we load up. You can go if you really want to though..." She trailed off, watching him. "Are you okay?" // Brad walked with her through the crowd, nearly pushing people out of the way to make way for them so they could take the stairs up to street level.-
Covet: Felix looked at her and nodded, "Yeah.. fine. Just... you know. Demons." He said, knowing how she'd feel about it. "I didn't want to be that jack ass who goes to smoke, and lets everyone else help out."
Alexithymiaa: -She took his hand in hers, giving it a little squeeze. "What's your count for the day?"-
Covet: "Sssssixeven."He told her trying to lie, but he didn't want to be an ass when she'd had such a great night.
Alexithymiaa: -She raised her brows at him and his fucking answer. "So... seven? If you have another one, you don't get a gold star for the day. That's all I'm saying. So if you'd like to go outside and smoke and lose and have to take me to Cedar Point, you're more than welcome to." She leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek before bustling off to the green room so she could change into his fucking clothes because that's all she ever wants to wear now.
Covet: Felix took a deep breath and bit the inside of his cheek because this was hard. Finally with a groan he answered her. "I'm fine." He gritted his teeth and prayed that he'd be able to sneak one in at some point before the night was over. He followed behind her and did his best to keep from being to unbearably fidgity and obnoxious.
