- Hi Poxale, I have a few suggestion for you. The most important thing to know is that Soul Dew outclasses Assault Vest in every way for Latios and Latias. Not only does it boost Special Defense by 1.5x, it also boosts Special Attack by the same amount and allows them to use non-attacking moves. Latias also really does not need Special Defense investment to handle Primal Kyogre, and Latias with Primal Groudon usually doesn't have much trouble. I recommend the set from the analysis:
- name: Support
- move 1: Healing Wish
- move 2: Roost
- move 3: Psyshock
- move 4: Draco Meteor
- item: Soul Dew
- ability: Levitate
- evs: 212 HP / 120 SpA / 176 Spe
- nature: Timid
- This avoids the 2HKO from Primal Kyogre's Ice Beam, 2HKOes back with Psyshock, and outspeeds base 100 Pokemon. The bulk is also good for checking Primal Groudon Thunder is not really necessary since Psyshock does the same job and is useful outside of hitting Kyogre. I have Healing Wish over where Defog was in this case because you don't want to get rid of your own Webs, but Sticky Web is quite hard to use because Defog Latios and Latias aren't slowed.
- Going back a bit, Shuckle doesn't really have room for both Sticky Web and Stealth Rock. Shuckle generally wants to take as little damage as possible when it first sets up so it gets one more change later, and Stealth Rock is just another turn where you are susceptible. Also, having another Stealth Rock user means even if Shuckle falls and your opponent Defogs, you can at least try to get Rocks up again. I would just go with Toxic.
- For your Stealth Rock, you could try out Shuca Berry Tyranitar over Kyogre. The following set will work:
- Tyranitar @ Shuca Berry
- Ability: Sand Stream
- EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
- Careful Nature
- - Stealth Rock
- - Pursuit
- - Stone Edge
- - Low Kick
- Shuca Berry helps with all the Earthquakes flying around for coverage. Pursuit allows you to trap Latios and Latias and potentially get Sticky Web back up again with Shuckle. Low Kick also helps with Arceus, but Counter could be an interesting option so that Mega Salamence (not grounded) can't Roost stall your Stone Edge. Stone Edge deals with Ho-Oh (also not grounded), and Rayquaza (also not grounded).
- Genesect does want Choice Scarf, even more so on Sticky Web so that you can check GeoXern after the Sticky Web speed Drop. Also U-turn is the Bug STAB you should be using, as it deals with Latis the same way as X-Scissor, but give you momentum if Latis switch out (which they probably will be doing early on). Also you might want to use Explosion over Blaze Kick for a last ditch Arceus-Normal check, but as long as you are able to keep up Webs Arceus can never set up for free.
- Lastly, I think you can go for Life Orb on Ekiller. Healing Wish Latias helps with status, and Jolly will outspeed most of the Will-O-Wisp users. Life Orb adds a ton of power, which of course is always good.
