  1. Multilingual site - subdomain vs directory
  2. Whats up guys! So I've been working on this site, and I'm thinking to make it multilingual, thing is the internal structure is quite complex, thus using a plugin like polylang ends up crushing the site for some reason...

  14. Anyways in that case I have two alternatives, that is a) Create sub-domains: "de.site.com" or b) Create subforlders: "site.com/de/"
  15. Since sub-domains are taken as a different domain by the search engines, I'm not quite sure which would be better in terms of SEO.
  16. I would recommend using subfolders. I did this on an old site I used to manage and it worked fine in terms of SEO performance.
  17. sounds good, any advice I should take into account?

  19. Tested them both. Subdomains work better than sub folders when Hreflang is properly implemented.
