  1. RUN NAME: A deal with the family

  4. After the events of 'Out For Blood', it was found out that Massimiliano, the only living Italian vampire in containment, is, in fact, the son of the mafia's previous boss, Alfredo Merzallo. Due to information brought to police chief Ciccotelli by agent Groft, Massi was interviewed by the police, and has, for several days now, been aiding them in their investigation. Specifically, in stakeout of Velucci's restaurant and Merzallo's mansion. There, accompanied by two officers and two Foundation agents, he was able to identify two capo's (captains) and the new consigliere, Vito.

  6. The restaurant has been identified as a hideout for the mafia and a place were transactions between the Merzallo family and the five other NY crime families occur. the police were considering performing a raid on the place, but have instead decided to let Psi-7 handle it.

  8. Ciccotelli, Massimiliano and two officers, officer Lee and officer Smith, await Psi-7 in the briefing room. They are given the aforementioned information, and are briefed on their task.

  10. The officers will take them to the restaurant, where the team will be split in two. Team one enters through the front, masquerading as members of the Luciano family, since the Luciano's are the only family that hasn't sent a member to the place to strike any sort of deal. Once inside, they would be met by Vito, the new consigliere and two other mafia members.

The mafia would offer who they believe to be the Luciano family a deal: In exchange for control in New Jersey and Manhattan, as well as a cease-fire between the two gangs, the Merzallo's give the Luciano's access to a variety of anomalous weapons and tools: Guns that shoot the wielder, shoes that make the wearer lighter, hats that hide identity and various other items. Team 1 can gather up as much information as they can from the consigliere through the use of various social skills, though intimidation would be a risky choice.

  14. Meanwhile Team 2 sneaks in through the back door, leading to the kitchen. Much like Team 1, their main task is to find information (Notes on counters, interrogating who they find, searching for stuff stashed in cupboards and whatnot). The kitchen would be unguarded, and from inside the freezer they can hear voices and thuds. An occasional muffled scream can also be heard. Inside, they'd find two vampiric gang members beating up a man. Bodybags hang from the meat hooks, blood dripping down from a few, the floor covered in blood splatters and lost limbs.

  16. The man being beaten is a capo, who has been discovered as a rat. Team 2 can either ignore the scene and move on, or try and fight the attackers. The capo would be a right mess, and unable to speak for the time being.

  18. The actual dining area is where the 'deal' is taking place. The teams can decide to either take down the mafia members in the building or finish their individual missions and head back without any more violence. If either team fails, the mafia members would attack. Psi-7 can choose to fight or retreat. Retreating would mean going back out and meeting up with the officers. Said officers would call for backup and arrest the mobsters.

  20. The run would not be too difficult, low combat and mainly involving social skills. It would act as a buildup for a future, more combat-heavy run.

  23. **Name:** Mobster Vampire
  24. **Purpose:** A generic mobster vampire, two found in the freezer room.
  25. **Nature:** Arrogant and certain of their abilities. Devoted.
  26. **Description/History:** Vampires in suits, one wielding a baseball bat, the other a stiletto.
  27. **Other:** Can't be reasoned with.

  29. **Physical Health:** 7
  30. **Mental Health:** 7

  33. **Mental Defense:** 2
  34. **Perception:** 3
  35. **Agility:** 6

  44. * Bite: In close-quarters combat, the vampires can roll a 4df+3 bite against their opponent. Upon success, the target becomes incapacitated and begins to bleed heavily. (Event takes place in medical, and they should get treatment almost immediately.)

  46. **Engagement Style:** These two will use their weapons instead of pouncing on people like their less experienced counterparts. They will also prefer to dodge attacks now.

  48. **Name:** Generic Mobster
  49. **Purpose:** A regular mobster, lounging around in the dining area. Vito shares stats with them, except his mental Health is at +4.
  50. **Nature:** Generally don't care about the other family, and would not hesitate to kill them if necessary. Vito is quite dedicated to make a deal.
  51. **Description/History:** Whether it's in their blood, a result of hanging with a bad crowd or just the urge to commit crime and a need for cash, these guys are now a part of the mob. These guys are all Italian.
  52. **Other:** Don't drink blood. Nerds.

  69. * Spray 'n' pray: Every other one of these guys carries a tommygun on them. If characters are behind cover or occupied with something, the mobster can roll a 4df+4 to release a hail of bullets on them. Failing an agility roll, the opponent gets pinned and is unable to fire for a short period of time. Failing a following PDef roll, of course, hurts like hell. The tommygunner will find themselves in quite the pickle if they fail to pin their target, since they'll find themselves holding an empty gun.

  71. **Engagement Style:** Lots of emptying their clips a their target. Useless alone, dangerous in a group.
