Godwheel Ankarians of The Deep Plane
The Deep surrounds all the celestial bodies, but its waves cannot pierce the bubble. More dense then water a substance between liquid and solid. Only extremely powerful, thicc and sturdy vessels could penetrate it to reach the Deep, traverse it, and return.

At the center of our galaxy is the inexplicable pillar of light, around it our Godwheel the disk supporting all life in the plane. It was created long ago by our ancestors and the inter-planar Volkans, who are only seen inside their opaque super-heated environmental suits, combined resources and technology to create the megastructure. The Volkans reside in the hottest and innermost regions of the disk. Their respective locations and investments over time slightly expanded the habitable regions of both towards the other as they would insulate each other from the most inhospitable heat and cold.

Anker, our birth world, is anchored within the disk's most habitable region (for human life) in such a way that it bobs up and down creating a night and day cycle using the girth of the disk, while the rest of the Ankerian inhabited regions on both sides has become massive cityscapes and economic zones. Anker remains relevant as an organic agricultural and seafaring center, and the traditional political center.
We Ankarians of Anker, Kin of Spire, maintain the Godwheel as part of our ancient deal with the Volkans. Its maintenance has allowed us to make progress towards our own Void Fleet Doctrine. The Volkans also predicted that one day new life would spring forth from the various regions of the disk, it was our duty to hunt them down and exterminate them. To hunt down the lifeforms we armed ourselves with our own environmentally sealed vehicles and powered armors, Wheelfarers who make a living venturing into the lowest sewers and farthest vistas sometimes recovering strange devices and materials never seen before.

The Ankarians maintain strong personal freedoms to support their expansions and strength under a constitutional empire. Emperor Spire has reigned since before the conception of the Godwheel, it was he who brought the Volkans to the table and negotiated the terms for the construction of the Godwheel. He is an extremely powerful wielder of psychic powers, rumored to be responsible for shaping the plane if not the creation of the plane. Most Wielders can only interpret the near future, influence their immediate surroundings, and manifest minor phenomena. The most common manifestation are manipulations of water and the Deep, rapid diffusion and concentration of thermal energy into 'fire', and more complex elemental affinities which allow Wielders to influence the Godwheel in interesting ways. In the current age Emperor Spire's presence is minimal with only very rare interaction to the outside world through his caretakers. Practical power lies in the hands of the Governors of the economic districts and the Anker Senate.

Ankarians are light skinned and light eyed, and possess incredible strength.
