  9. How to unlock cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel
  10. Want to know how to unlock more cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel? With over 10,000 cards available in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, you should definitely want to know how to move beyond your starting deck and unlock more cards. Whether you want to collect every card in Master Duel or just find specific cards for a new deck, there are lots of ways to add to your collection and discover new strategies and synergies.
  11. Below, we’ll cover a few different ways to get more cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel and discuss the strengths of each method. They all net you more cards, but certain methods are better for collectors and certain ones work better for those hoping to build a meta deck.
  12. How to unlock cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel
  13. There are several ways to get new cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, and all of them have their own benefits. Below, we’ll list how to get new cards and then cover the strengths of each approach.
  14. You can get new cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel in the following ways:
  15.
  16. Buying packs with gems
  17. Generating cards with craft points
  18. Completing Missions
  19. Completing Solo Mode duels
  20. Playing Ranked duels online
  21.
  22. If you want to get lots of cards and just see more Monsters, spells, and traps that you might never have seen before, we recommend buying packs with gems. This is especially good for newcomers who haven’t played Yu-Gi-Oh before and want to get a large collection of cards before trying to build a certain deck.
  23. When you’ve settled on a deck that you want to build, you should generate specific cards that you need using Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel craft points.
  24. If you are a new player and don't really know where to start, we recommend unlocking some pre-built decks. While you can buy some pre-built decks in the store, you can unlock some starter decks by completing some Missions. These are general objectives that you can complete while you play Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel. Some of these missions will reward you with the starter decks that you didn’t pick when you first started Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel. To find the Missions tab, look for the flag in the top-right corner of the main menu.
  25. If you want to have fun duelling opponents, you can unlock new cards by completing Solo Mode or Ranked duels. Solo Mode duels will have specific rewards that you earn when you win, which tend to include a card. This is a great way to learn new mechanics while duelling and earn cards related to the new tactics that you're trying. If you play online in Ranked duels, you’ll earn Duel Score when you finish a match. This Duel Score is calculated at the end of a duel and determines the rewards you’ll get, which could include new cards.
  26. That covers everything you need to know about unlocking new cards in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel. If you want to use your new cards to duel your friends, take a look at our guide on Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel crossplay. If you want to keep duelling while away from your PC or console, check out more on the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel mobile release.

  28. Unlock all cards?
  29. Do they have access to all card without spending gems now?
  30. You'd most likely get banned even if that's all you did. I would assume Konami would be able to detect it eventually.
  31. Yes they can, but that's not the problem. They can actually use forbidden cards like pot of greed, dragoon etc. I've also seen that they can play with decks under 40 cards. Like a 20 card deck filled with exodia and pot of greed
  32. it was possible but its patched now
  33. cards are server side data but they forgot to add a simple validation check server side for something else that let ppl use banned/unowned cards.
  34. Cards aren't server side. "What cards you own" are. And this is one big fault of the game. Did you notice when you make a new account on steam, the game re-downloads itself again? It seems it creates a new copy of the whole game for every user. Why? Because this supposed "multiplayer" game, actually handles its files like a singleplayer game. The architecture of how this game handles its files is very similar to a single player game. Important files are stored on the client-side, unlike any other mp games like there like Hearthstone where everything is stored server side and only the assets (like card art) are on the client side.
  35. This is also the reason why this game is "moddable". Have you see hearthstone's menu be modded? But here, everything can be modded and tampered easily.
  36. And as for the forbidden cards, it is only forbidden ON THE CLIENT SIDE, not on the server side. And I hope this makes sense - basically, in the server, players can use any card, even the forbidden ones, but because the client prevents it and tags them as "forbidden", you can't add them to your deck nor interact with them. But on the server, there is no such restriction. Maybe they did it this way to make ban lists easier to manage.
  37. But what they didnt realize is. This also opens it up to hacking. Now some smart programmer out there can easily manipulate the files (like I said, important files are saved on the client side, instead of server side like any other normal multiplayer games out there, which is why it downloads itself a new copy every new account), and voila. What you see is the result. Programmer lifts the forbidden restrictions, and tampered with anything that can be tampered with, like deck size (8 cards is the minimum, since it was coded this way - as can be seen in some solo gates, where you don't need 40 cards, and was thus enabled this way)
  38. FINAL NOTE: Now, I think the only parts of the game that is handled on the server side, is the gems and the secret packs timer, and those cards that you own (wherein they are tagged once you get them). Anything else, is very much stored on your side and easily tampered with.
  39. Konami shot themselves in the foot here. Cause if they are to prevent the tampering of these files, they would either have rebuild the game from the ground up, OR do some changes on how MD manages its files. Which, is no small feat, and is basically rebuilding the game itself.
