- just follow these rules to have a good PD experience -
- 1. SAVE YOUR MATS
- materials become rare after a while and eventually you WILL run out of PVE levels to grind in your theme, do NOT waste materials on cards you will not be using, especially not silver or gold ones even if you need the exp
- 2. Join a team
- join a team as early as you can, you get to request common or rare cards you own every 8 hours and EVERY request counts, you also get to donate cards you will not be using in exchange for NK exp and a few coins
- you get to request either 12 commons or 3 rares from teams and are only able to donate 3 commons or 1 rare per request
- 3. Save your Coins
- grinding PVE levels for coins is tedious but can be a good way to get some coin and trading PVP tickets for coins up to 8 times every day is optimal to get a good source of coins saved up
- you need a LOT of coins in this game, number 1 for upgrading and leveling up your cards but also to buy things from the cartman shop
- 4. Shops
- the PVP and Cartman shops reset daily and can give pretty valuable loot
- the PVP shop can give you silver and gold materials in addition to rare and epic cards, also you can trade pvp tickets for coins
- the Cartman shop can give bronze and silver mats in addition to common and rare cards, due to how hard it is to get coins and that you need them for other things dont EVER buy common cards from the cartman shop unless you need a couple to get a lvl up since you can get a full 12 from a single request
- 5. PLAY PVP
- the game is PVP based, if youre playing it for the PVE youll finish it after a few days and wont need a guide, otherwise you ALWAYS want to have your PVP pack on cooldown since it has no buffer time like the free pack
- you also get to play 30 games per day before hitting a locker limit which makes it so after a PVP win you will skip the locker screen and go directly back to the PVP screen, this limit is to prevent high ranked players from raking up free wins against the lower leveled players and grinding lockers
- 6. Tier lists
- I post a tier list around with the top 3 tiers of cards, generally its smart to just level these but its important to understand why each card is placed in its tier and the reason other cards arent here in addition to knowing HOW to use each card effectively
- 7. Whaling
- if youre going to spend money know it wont be effective to buy the big packs or offers, if you spend money on this game you want to buy the 150 material pack or a bunch of pvp pack refreshes when youre in legend rank
- the high cost premium packs have diminishing value in exchange for legendary and epic chances and since epic and legendary cards are garbage its not very worth
- whaling also wont get you the high amount of cards you need to get cards up to higher levels since there is no way to lower the wait time for card requests
- the game is not pay2win and the only thing money will do for you is get materials faster, eventually a f2p player WILL get to a full lvl 6 deck and at that point a player who payed to get his full lvl 6 deck will have zero advantage
- 8. Stick to 2 Themes + Neutral
- as a f2p player you will have NO chance at progressing if youre trying to upgrade 4+ themes, as a p2w player you are slowing down your progress so much you might as well be f2p if you try to do this, so pick 2 and stick with them
- 9. Events
- events are very useful but can be obnoxious, particularly the onces that force you to use specific cards
- SO even if you are not in that theme you should TRY to do the event since it will always give you some of the premium currency AND cards that people request so that you can give them away and earn exp, BUT if an event gives no leeway cards (like the scifi event with only barbrady and starvin marvin as the only non-scifi cards) AND youre in legend rank then you can just ignore the event, it feels bad but theres no way to effectively do these kinds of events when everyone else is either HELPED by the event or also ignoring it
- 10. Level Cards Fully Before Moving on to the Next
- With 3 themes you should be looking to put upgrades into 3 cards at a time
- say you are in adventure + sci-fi and all of your cards are at lvl 1, you want to be upgrading one card in adventure, one card in sci-fi, and one card in neutral till those are lvl 2 and then move on to the rest of your cards till theyre all lvl 2 so that you can move on to lvl 3 with the exception of spells which require no material investment just duplicates
- 11. Legendary Rank
- the shiny gold shield and extra bucks that come with it may be tantalizing but make sure youre able to HANDLE yourself against legendary ranked players BEFORE you make the leap into legendary rank
- if youre struggling to get to rank 50 and need to use an event to handicap your opponents in order to make it to legend you do not belong in legend and are going to have a REALLY bad time when your opponents are finished with the event and go back to their fully leveled decks
- I say the minimum you want your new kid lvl to be before you go for legend rank is 14 and you want all of your units to at LEAST be lvl 4
- 12. BUCKS $
- ALWAYS keep some of the $ you get from events and achievements to open lockers, always open at least 2 when silver/gold materials that you need show up in the shop
- 13. Dont Worry About New Cards
- unless its a legendary, warcry unit, or spell you will not get enough of the card to make it usable in high lvl PVP, once a new card is added to regular packs then you will be able to use it properly
- 14. Learn How to Counterplay
- winning in this game is about learning to outvalue your opponent or trick them, your job as the player is to either play something thats hard or energy intensive to counter or to counter whatever your opponent plays using as little energy as possible so it is important to know what beats what and how to handle specific cards
- this will come with time or you can ask in the thread for specifics
- 15. Costumes
- even tho it looks like a waste of PVP tickets when they show up in your shop in the long run it is worthwhile to buy every costume item that shows up since that means in the future it wont show up in your pvp shop anymore raising your chances at getting something you actually want
