Green Knight Consulting - Gwydion's Office(#10098R)



	The crowning glory of the head P.I.'s office is the massive stained mahogany desk. The room itself is huge, but that desk is beautiful. A compact high end personal computer sits hidden below the desk with the monitor perched neatly on the right hand corner. The mouse and keyboard hidden under the desk on a rolling keyboard drawer. The desk sits flush against the western wall. Two comfortable chairs sit in front of the desk for client consultation. A huge black leather CEO's chair sits behind the desk.

	Along the far northern wall there are several tall lockable filing cabinets and on either side of those are two large stained mahogany book shelves. Sitting proudly displayed on top of the filing cabinets is a framed CA BSIS certificate standing proof that Gwydion Angus McBryde is a full fledged P.I. under California Law. On the far eastern wall a plush black leather couch sits with two forest green throw pillows and a blanket hanging over the back, no doubt for when the job lasts throughout the night.

	The woman before you stands above average height but is of average weight. One might guess her age to be late thirties and still plenty attractive. It may be her violet-silver eyes that catch the most attention and she seems to handle that in stride. Her auburn hair has been pulled up into a loose comfortable pony. Encircling her neck is a silver necklace with a small, elegant, sparkly raven pendant.

	Business casual is the theme of this outfit. A button-up floral printed shift with dark blue background covers her torso. The top two buttons have been left undone to provide a long, narrow V neckline. The shirt is tucked into a pair of pristinely white jeans that accent her long legs without being too tight nor too loose. Completing the outfit is a pair of shoes that fit whatever her days activities would be. That means either wedge sandles, nude pumps or comfortable sneakers.



This woman who holds herself in a graceful, statuesque manner. Her features hold an earthly beauty with faintly pointed ears.

Across the street from Prospect Roasters is building with a number of businesses in it. A pagan supply shop (Thru the Looking Glass), A cannibis dispensary (Down the Rabbit Hole) and a consulting firm. Green Knight Consulting. The reception area looks nice but since Caressa's expected she gets sent right in.

	Gwydion is sitting behind his desk but stands to greet (but not introduce himself, his name's on the door after all) "Welcome, have a seat. I'm told you have some questions for me?"

Caressa steps inside and spares a moment to take in the room. She's never been in the building. "I did." She steps towards the desk as her silver-violet gaze takes him in. "Doctor Caressa Perlman, Psychiatrist...." A glance behind to make sure she closed the door, "mmmm.. Verbena." She adds more softly, delicately.

Gwydion nods and gestures for Caressa to take the seat "Excellent. And don't worry too much, my staff are all from our side of the street as it were. And the building is warded pretty thuroughly. How can I help you today?"

Caressa blinks and withdraws her hand. She takes the half step back to settle into the chair suddenly cautious and a little leery of the man. "I was expecting ... someone old when Mr. Khol mentioned 'a more powerful mage'." Her gaze studying him, looking for the tells and such she's use to patients giving away. But he seems to have none of it. "I hope we're on the same side and that I haven't been misled."

Gwydion grins charmingly and takes his seat again "I awakened on my eighteenth birthday and my Avatar is a fairly strong one. I'm one of our tradition's local Masters. My particular area of expertise is I collect knowledge on all the other kinds of supernatural things that are out there that aren't us."

Caressa blinks and slowly smiles back. Mentally churning his words over, making sure she heard correctly. "You're... our? You're verbena too?!" She relaxes a bit, letting her laptop back slip from her shoulder so she can lower it beside her feet.

Gwydion nods and grins "Adopted. I was a self starter and ran as an Orphan for a while but yeah, Verbena. Ninth degree Master and local bad thing that happens to bad things."

Caressa runs a hand through her hair. "Forgive me. Ninth degree? I haven't translated all the hermetic degrees yet." She smiles, "Mr. Khol gave me two choices, I don't think I could have choosen better for what I need then."

Gwydion nods at Caressa "I picked it up when I was talking with different members of different groups before I decided who to join. For someone to claim the title of Master they have to be able to perform a working of at least one sphere as high up as you can get without becoming an Archmage or Oracle. The number of degrees is how many spheres you can do that in."

Gwydion adds "Who was the other choice?"

Caressa ohs softly and nods. "I won't forget that." She states the fact of it. "The other choice was Eloise...whom I've only seen once and only know her name because others in the room spoke it."

Gwydion nods at Caressa and chuckles slightly "She's one of the other Verbena Masters, her husband Axton is another. Though depending on what your question is they may have sent you to me anyway."

<OOC> Gwydion says, "Level 1 = Apprentice, level 2 = Initiate, level 3= Disciple, level 4=Adept, level 5=Master."

<OOC> Gwydion says, "tag your highest level and then degree is the number of spheres at that level"

Caressa fondles her raven pendant thoughtfully. Perhaps storing all that glorious information away safely in the confines of her mind. Of course there comes that moment of realization of 'holy crap!!' The next instant her visage seems to go more youthful. Innocent. Shy..naive perhaps as the Maiden's face rises. Though this isn't flirtation. She inhales deeply to gather herself. "I have a couple of patients I could use help with. One more difficult than the other. And, admittedly, some of it has to do with me simply not knowing. I haven't been full awake for awfully long.. and what I have been has been spent...sadly, hiding away, working and studying. Till a few months ago when I realized I was...missing out on life." A hand lifts to waves of the thought as she spews more than she wanted to.

Gwydion nods at Caressa "I either know things or know who knows." he gestures at his PI certification "Its kinda my thing."

Caressa lets her gaze follow the motion to the certification. "I see." She smiles, settling back into the chair. "So.. the hard one first. Shall we?" Her hands settle comfortably in her lap.

Gwydion nods and settles back in his chair, ready to answer Caressa's question "Fire away."

Caressa inhales very deeply. This might be a long story but surely the detective is use to such things. "Ok. so this one isn't so much a patient as a friend. Referring to them as patient reminds me to keep some space and -think- before I complete a leap that may be a mistake. Anyone, it has been explained to me as this person had a blood gaes put upon her. It has kept her from having children..or would and now that she's found someone she wants to spend her life with ... she wants a better life. she has said that the person who placed the gaes on her is willing to life it freely and that once it happens she...it will take her near death. The heartbreak of a thousand hearts, she said. My significant other, he would help a friend in a heartbeat, but in this case he has distanced himself. Excepting that I understand there is some danger that could be between the gaesed and its presenter and the magi that helps her. I guess the main thing is, I don't know if -I- can help her myself... to get through it."

Gwydion nods at Caressa and considers "So you're looking to help someone through the trauma of being released from a blood bond? The spell to break one is actually fairly complicated but empathic healing is fairly easy if you've got a knack at all for Mind magic."

Caressa nods, "Yes, I think that is it. I know I don't have the power to break the spell myself. And if my SO is this cautious, then I'm smart enough if they release the spell freely no conflict will be had.. I hope."

Caressa adds, "I am a disciple of life and mind, at least."

Gwydion nods at Caressa "Discretion is going to be the most important defense. They take their secrecy laws very very seriously. Those two types of magic should be all you need for the healing process in this case though."

Caressa nods. "I don't even know who -they- are..or what for that matter. But I do know secrets are secret for a reason. Would it be safe to keep her in my house as she heals? Should I find somewhere else? How long does it take? What should I do.. or not?"

Gwydion considers "It depends on how long she's been bonded. If its been too long there may be other side effects, if they were in deep enough to slow their aging breaking the bond will advance their body to the age they ought to be. If her Domitor is releasing her willingly it shouldn't matter where exactly but how long it takes exactly depends on her strength of will."

<OOC> Gwydion says, "the bond decays by 1 level per 12-willpower months. But if they are able to just say its broken some how (and I'm not sure how that'd be) then the time doesn't really matter"

Caressa nods. "Alright. She hasn't mentioned anything about being unaging. So, might now have to worry about that part of it. But if it happens to be..I can at least ease it a bit..make it slower." She considers a moment then asks, "Should I worry about her going back to this..Domitor..if she awakens? Ultimately that is where she wants to go but well, there has to be space for that."

<OOC> Caressa says, "I think just means they'd let her stop drinking from them. If i understand the blood bond oocly"

<OOC> Caressa says, "but yeah. Last thing I need is a trimere/OOH conflicts.. and is what Caressa is trying to avoid."

Gwydion frowns as he considers "If they're breaking the bond then no but I'd watch for it. If they're just stopping feeding her she can still get free but she'll need to be kept away for months. She can't see them at all in that whole time or it will reset the clock."

Caressa hmms softly, "Can this happen to Mage? Can they..we.. be dominated like this?

Gwydion nods at Caressa "We can. Don't drink their blood and avoid skin to skin contact if you can. If you don't have your mind warded against outside influence I'd highly suggest it. I'd also suggest not mentioning my name, unless you mean it or really need to. That community finds me rather threatening."

Caressa shakes her head quickly. "I wouldn't mention you. I don't even know how my SO will take it when I tell him. Could be nothing..I could get the whole of history since the sun first rose. But that i can endure and I may learn something." She looks down at her hands, ticking off on a few fingers. "I think that covers it for that one." she nods, agreeing with herself, "The other really is a patient. A relatively newly awakened mage. She wishes to reunite with her family. Knowing the story of how she awoke and got separated from them. I can come up with a plausible story of coma, psych evals and such. But she is concerned about the reunion and drawing "enemies" to her family."

Gwydion shrugs as he considers "If they're not supernatural at all they should be fairly safe. Just don't use magic on them or around them if it can be at all helped to minimize risk. Unless the mage has personal enemies. The Union has bigger fish to fry."

Caressa nods. "I figured that was the case. My practice is healthy and diverse..and I've never had an issue with them. Medical licenses and all." She looks to his own certificate again, "But it makes it easy to couch things inside their belief." She looks back to him. "I would suppose Nephandi and Maurders are rare sorts? Can't say I've seen one."

Gwydion nods at Caressa "And I've actually worked with a Union strike team to take down a Nephandus more than once. Somethings matter more than how our organizations feel about eachother."

Caressa goes wide-eye at that. "Whoa. Really? We can -do- that?! I thought it was like some, you know, ninth level of hell sort of sin or something."

Gwydion grins and shrugs "It really depends on the mages and the agents involved. And if it was anything less serious than a Nephandus it would not have flown at all."

Caressa ohs softly and nods. She leans to pick up the strap to her bag and pull it onto her shoulder in preparation to leave. "Thank you for your time, sir." What the hell does one call a Master? Her gaze drifts away thoughtfully. A visage of age though more of wisdom as the Crone rolls through her. Her odd eyes moving back to him, "I don't suppose you are able to...or have the time..to take on a student, would you?" She somewhat stumbles over herself. This wasn't planned. But it would unwise for her to leave without the asking.

Gwydion shakes his head "Not really, we do have Libraries you can get access too though. And I can answer questions from time to time but I can't really take an apprentice."

Caressa inhales and nods. "Alright." She rises with a shrug. "I understand. Well, thank you again." She says softly. The Crone fading away, leaving her as herself once more, as she turns to leave.
