Setting:

Welcome to Minerva Academy, a school for beings known as Night Children, human beings who's souls have been touched by magic, causing their forms to warm and change. There are many different kinds of creatures that attend this academy, from werewolves, to vampires, to even normal humans who just want a taste of magic for themselves.

You're all a variety of different creatures yourself, here to learn about the world of magic and monsters, and how to handle your mysterious new abilities. However... Through various shenanigans, that are likely all long stories, you have all ended up in detention. For an entire weekend. That wasn't the intent, of course, but it appears that you've all been accidentally forgotten, so now you're all locked in a classroom, and even supernatural strength can't knock down enchanted doors, so it looks like you'll be staying here.

It's not that big of a deal though, you've all got some snacks in your bags, and there is a bathroom off of the classroom, if you ever need to use it (or even as a water supply?) so while this weekend will still likely suck a whole lot, at least you're around other monsters whom you can relate to, and well... At least you're not going to die, right?

Ciel is hotheaded, rash, and rarely thinks things through. Her first thought when faced with a problem is to punch it. However, she does her best to be friendly and amiable, despite that. She's a bit socially inept, but hey, she tries. Her father was a demon, while her mother was a human never exposed to magic, so she ended up with very watered-down demonic powers. She tries to use them effectively, but it never goes very well.

She has short, shaggy dark-blue hair, ice blue eyes, and ram horns. She also has a thin, black tail with a bit of what appears to be fur on the end.

Prism is .... a curious figure. She tends to laugh and smile, never at someone or something, just in general. She's pretty chill, though. If you catch her muttering don't worry, she does that sometimes. You only need to worry if she looks you in the eyes and says something ominous, but only because that's how she relieves stress, not because you're in any actual danger. She is a light spirit, a being that lives in colors and travels through the air when needed. Often used as messengers, light spirits are quick and nimble. Prism has not earned her power to travel through light yet, but she is able to subtlety change her own coloration.

Her skin is a light brown color, millions of brightly colored freckles all over her body. Speaking of which, her eyes are a vibrant green, always darting around, never focusing on one thing for too long. Her long, multicolored hair is usually tied into a sloppy knot on her head, little leaves and other plant matter sticking out all over.

She's not wearing shoes, which is not that weird for her. One her right foot she has a rainbow striped toe sock that goes up under her jean cut-offs. Her other foot is bare. Her shorts are falling apart, held together with quick-fixes of mismatched thread and hope. Her shirt is large, hanging off her body like a red tent. On it is a crudely drawn duck with several smaller, shitter ducklings around it. On the back, it says "MOMMA RAY'S BIG OL' DUCK EMPORIUM" in big pink letters.

An aspiring teenage pyrotechnician who just came out here to have a good time and not light anything on fire spontaneously, yo. The official story is, he was expelled from his last school after "creative power outlet repurposing" saw his entire neighborhood lose power for a week. Spin "stole a fork from the school cafeteria" into "epic powers over electricity", and you've got yourself one regular boy at a school for magic kids.

It's a secret so don't tell anyone, but apparently he's actually the hidden son of some fancy big name in the water elemental area. What, like the name didn't give it away?
