Miyagi Cowing Dog

"Forget it," Julie said. She wanted to get out of there. She walked over to the door.

	"Joey! Take it!" said one of the men. Joey was a big dog. He'd been sleeping, but the minute his owner, Ted, spoke to him, Joey jumped up. He stood in front of the door and he growled. Julie couldn't leave. The men laughed at her.

	Then the door opened behind Joey. Mr. Miyagi came in. Joey growled at him. Mr. Miyagi crouched and spoke to him in Japanese. The next thing Julie knew, Mr. Miyagi was patting Joey and Joey's tail was wagging!

	"Joey, you're supposed to bite him!" Ted said.

	"Nice dog," said Mr. Miyagi.

	Julie and Mr. Miyagi left as quickly as they could.

	"How'd you do that, Mr. Miyagi? That dog was going to attack me."

	"All things possible, if not afraid," he said.

	"I wish I had your courage."
