  10. Description: The group was breaking into homes when they decided to break into the home of John’s son, John Hester Jr., across the road from his own home. John noticed what they were doing and confronted them with a shotgun, firing a warning shot. The teens responded by shooting him in the leg. He managed to get back to his home and to the hospital, but died the next day.
